the location is fantastic, 10 minutes from dam. the on site restaurant left something to be desired, limited selection, but good service. also, no working ice makers, you had to go to front desk to get ice with your bucket, then get back to 11th floor, where i stayed. its a casino, they do not want you in your room. the bar had video gambling at every seat, i'm not a casion person so that was a turn off. dinning in Boulder seemed very limited also. i wanted a nice steak in a sit down resturant, didn't find a place, maybe i didn't look enough. if you want to see the hoover dam this is the palce to stay.
It would be nice if the webpage for this hotel was updated to include all the amenities that are no longer available. This is a very old run down property, that is in serious need of renovation. It’s advertised that there are two restaurants when there is only one cafe, and it closes at 8pm. After that all that is available is prepackaged food that has to be microwaved. The laundry facility is out of order as well as a small arcade area.
We had to get coupons for coffee daily at the front desk which was inconvenient and then had to purchase the coffee at the store in the hotel. No-one cleaned our room the whole time we were there. Most of the staff were very friendly and gave us what we needed whenever we asked.
CHECK IN PERSON WAS NOT FRIENDLY AT ALL. THE ONLY PLUS IS THE VIEW OUT THE EXTREMELY DIRTY WINDOW. VERY OUT OF DATE CARPET, EXTREMELY DIRTY AND SO OLD. WINDOWS HAVE GUNK AROUND AND SO MUCH DIRT. AIR CONDITIONER BARELY WORKED, MADE MORE NOISE THAN ACTION, WAS STILL VERY STUFFY IN THE ROOM. THE BATH FAUCET HAD SOAP SCUM CHUNK/GUNK, IT WAS VERY GROSS. PILLOWS WERE THE WORST I EVER SLEPT ON - VERY OVERSTUFFED THAT YOU CAN ONLY USE THEM MAYBE AS FOOT REST. I HAD A HORRIBLE NECK PAIN AND HEADACHE DUE TO THIS ALL THE 3 DAYS THAT WE STAYED THERE. THE STORE THERE HAS AN ELDERLY LADY WORKING THERE THAT MOVES SO SLOW I WAS SHOCKED SHE STILL WORKS. WE STOOD AT THE REGISTER FOR AT LEAST 10 MIN AS SHE SLOWLY CLEANED THE POPCORN MACHINE AND IGNORED US WHEN I CAN SEE SHE LOOKED AT US. THERE WERE FEW FRIENDLY EMPLOYEES BUT MOST LOOK LIKE THEY REALLY DO NOT WANT TO BE THERE. THE VIEW AROUND THE LODGE IS AMAZING BUT THAT IS THE ONLY GOOD THING.
We didn’t like the smell of cigarettes in the lobby.
Rather “tired”. My bed mattress was covered with plastic that was terribly wrinkled, hot, slippery and noisy. Lumpy pillows. Swimming area closed. Restaurant was a bar.
Great quiet place.
It was nice to be at this property, after a very busy and loud city, the quiet of the property helped calm a person mind.
I liked that it was quite, great scenery around the hotel. Staff was awesome. The food was great.
This property has everything you need the casino, restaurants, general store, you can hike to the Hoover dam right off of the property. It’s a little dated but still nice and clean. The room views are amazing
Good quiet hotel, FYI: Lake view side will have sun early, as the sun rises.
This is a little gem of a casino/hotel. Loved the views of Lake Mead and the closeness to Boulder City which has amazing dining options. The casino has the potential for lots of fun but most areas were closed.
We enjoyed being away from the hustle n bustle of the big city. We were a little disappointed in our view since we paid extra for a decent view, which was more parking lot than anything else. We still had a good time and we will be back to stay again!
