Friendly and helpful staff. Clean room with comfortable

An older hotel but very clean and room is big by today's standard. Room was spotless with everything in working condition.

The room is outdated and the bed is so stiff that it destroyed my back.

Nice place. Upon arrival, upgraded for free to a deluxe lake view room. Very nice room, great views, clean, well kept as u would expect. No complaints.

I stay at Harvey's every time I come to South Lake Tahoe to ski. Great hotel; friendly staff; great location. 5-minute walk to the gondola at Heavenly Valley. Rent skis; purchase lift tickets; all right there at the gondola. Many wonderful restaurants in the village next to the gondola. Everything is easy! And Harvey's Casino has the best poker room in South Lake Tahoe. Ski during the day; play poker at night! Perfect vacation!

I stayed here from Wednesday to Saturday. The hotel elevators are a bit of a walk from the main hotel lobby which is inconvenient. As far as the room goes, it was small but clean. The pillows, sheets, and comforter were all great, but the mattress was not -- I woke up with sore back each night, though every body is different and I'm used to memory foam I guess. No coffee maker in the room which meant I was forced to pay exorbitant hotel lobby Starbucks prices for a cup of joe. Climate control in the room worked perfectly. The shower was fine, but the tub was pretty small. Could hear conversations in room next door due to connecting doors between the rooms not providing great sound insulation, and hallway noise a factor as well. Recommend bringing earplugs.

I had underestimated the price of this trip, I didn't realize you had to pay an additional $25 per night upon check out. I was shocked and furious when I learned about this. The manager did cut us a small break, though he was quite condescending about it. The woman checking us out kept a smile on her face the whole time - a class act! Overall I'd stay here again provided the price (all-in, that is) made sense!

Nice that it's close to the Gondola but other than, hotel is nothing great.

Enjoyed my stay. View was beautiful. Food was great! Only disappointment was the cigarette smell.

Great place for a good price. Definitely will back.

Stunning views from our room,(both the Lake and the gondola). Complimentary valet parking was great. Room service was great. The 19 restaurant at the top was excellent. We went to ski, not gamble. I don't know how it would be possible to to make it better. Moderately priced for convenient luxury.

Great staff, clean and spacious rooms, a short walk from Heavenly ski resort, free parking.

Very pleasant stay, I decided to eat and play at this one hotel.

The hotel was ok but the casino was a bust. Go to Lake Tahoe to have fun not gamble. You won't win crud...lol.

The hotel is very nice. I have stayed here several times. This time we had barking dogs across the hall and room service knocking on the door across the hall and yelling room service 6 or 7 times at 6am until the guy answered the door. Not as nice as usual.

Hotel was ok. We only stayed for one night so the room was sufficient for those needs. The room was mostly clean but nothing special and a bit dated. Seemed like the hotel nickel and dimed you for everything. Considering we paid for the room + the resort fee + dropped a few hundred $'s in the casino was a little disappointed. As an example, they wanted to charge me $10 for 10 minutes on a PC in their business center just to get on to print an email. What hotels charge for that service any more!!! They also only allowed us to connect 2 devices to their WIFI in our room even though the $25.99 resort fee was mainly for WIFI access from what I could tell. It also included the "Health Club" which we did not have opportunity to use since it amounted to a workout room and an rooftop outdoor pool which the weather precluded us from using. As for the Casino, we could not find very many $.25 slot machines which my wife likes to play. Mostly .01 or $1 machines. Also disappointed that there were no $5 craps tables in either the Harvey's casino or Harrah's next door. The one $10 table they had was not particularly busy the evening we were there so you think they might have reduced it to $5 or opened another $5 table for those who wanted it. They actually had staff standing around another table that nobody was playing..... Restaurants in the hotel were also expensive.

Check-In was simple and quick the staff was friendly. -Mildew shower curtain -Mattress had a huge dip in it -view was of the lower roof and air-conditioning units --Cleaning people were shouting in the hallways at 9am --Dogs were barking in the room next to mine for an hour (apparently I was on the floor with dogs, even though I was not traveling with pets) --Room had a strange smell (probably from the mildew shower and lack of cleanliness) --Bathroom shower tiles were cracked or broken

Rooms were good and clean. Smell of cigarette smoke from the casino was in the lobby and also in the elevators, which was terrible. Good location.

Hotel staff were courteous and helpful. They offered us a discount due to an inconvenience we experienced without us even having to ask them. Room was very spacious and comfortable. It was a little pricey but not bad for a last minute decision to book before the weekend.

Two night stay.. Room not cleaned till I asked about it at 2:35PM. Elevators acting strange? Tahoe Southshore has a added use fee of $25.99 (per night) besides Taxes? Scratching off my visit list.
