Nice, Convenient—Will Stay There Again

Our adult son was in a nearby hospital for cancer treatment and this hotel was very close and convenient. After we booked, I read several bad reviews and was worried that we had made a mistake but this was a spur of the moment trip and we decided to hope for the best. We couldn’t be more pleased. Staff was so nice and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable. It was a nice place to stay during our son’s treatments. Parking was free and convenient. Breakfast was okay, not the best, but included in price of room which was reasonable for location and convenience. Will stay there again on next trip. We did a review on the hotels site as well and the manager reached out to see how our son is doing. That speaks volumes to us.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. However, the property requires some improvements. The elevator was not functioning properly, which was inconvenient. Additionally, the lobby was quite warm, possibly due to an air conditioning issue, and the furniture in the lobby was dirty. This was unpleasant, especially since it is a common area and the first thing guests see upon arrival.

Property was decent and clean. Checked in on a Friday and there was plenty of parking. When we returned for the night on Saturday, there was no parking at all available. When counter agent was asked what was alternative, she got defensive and said “what do you want me to do? We are full and this always happens on the weekends”. There is no ability to park anywhere else because the freeway is right next to hotel so that wasn’t an option. Luckily there was someone leaving so we got that space but there were 3 additional cars looking for a space. It appears they just made their own spots.

There were 2 elevators and only 1 worked. This caused long waiting time to get up and down to the room and back to the lobby. I didn’t feel our cars were safe outside the gated parking. Apparently there was a computer upgrade and customers waited 20-30 minutes to check in. I waited 40 min just to get a new towel and coffee for the room. Breakfast was less than desirable on Friday. The sausage was well done and the eggs and French toast sticks wouldn’t feed to my dog. The yogurt was warm. Another variety of bagel would be nice too.
