Pet friendly, great casual on site restaurant and super economic value

They demanded a credit card on file and charged an additional $100 “just in case”. Now I don’t think that’s too unusual, for a descent hotel. This isn’t a descent hotel. The first room I was sent too, smelled bad, had gross stained carpet, the bathroom has towels on the floor and the largest cockroaches I’ve ever seen in the tub. About 3-4 inches long. There was a crushed roach in the tub (so someone did that and left the body) surrounded by 3 of its closest friends. I assume for the funeral? I went to the desk and demanded a new room. I was given a new room and could tell they are TRYING to fix up the place. It has all new tile. Everywhere. The whole room. Not a carpet or rug to be seen. The room had my king bed up on one side and a large open, nothingness everywhere else. No table. No couch. Just tile. The bathroom was clean and had more tile. No tub, but a nice shower. No hot water though. That’s also new. How does a hotel not have hot water?? And no. It’s not because I couldn’t figure out the handle. It was a simple on/off, 1/4 turn handle. Not much to get wrong. I even let it run for several minutes hoping it would heat up. It didn't. My shower was awful. The king bed has 3 small pillows, lined up, didn’t even cover half the headboard. Sheets were stained. Slept on top of blanket for some semblance of cleanliness. Maybe it will get better. But it will take a lot of work. 1. Demand the remodeled room. 2. Bring your own pillows and bedding.

The coffee machine leaked so no coffee in the room. No hair dryer it was missing. No internet for the first two days. We did have internet on the last day. Vent in bathroom leaked smoke and possibly marijuana which made it hard to breathe. No clothes hangers. Had to go to the front desk to get wash cloths and hand towels on two days. The older lady at the front desk was very nice but the other workers seem to do nothing but gossip. The front desk area is nice but as you walk behind the farther building it looks very delapidated and unsafe. No laundry facilities although there are signs. Not sure what is going on at this hotel?

Lobby looks nice. Rooms with old dirty stained carpet, bed uncomfortable, coffee machine didn’t work and TV was not setup properly. Indifferent staff.had reservations for 2 nights left after only 1 night due to above.

We really enjoyed our stay especially for the price. What I don’t understand is why the front desk staff told us the hot tub was closed when we called to inquire about it, but when we got there it was open and warm.

Nice and clean. Our heater was not working and we were moved to another room.

There was no hot water in the shower. It took for 20 minutes, and then it was not hot enough. Bed was like sleeping on concrete.

Woah, well this time my experience was way different than before: We booked a Non Smoking, 2 beds room. We got to the lobby, everything went great there, friendly staff, fast check in, etc. but the first room that we got was a smoking room, and it was dirty, restroom door didn't close, so we requested to get a different room, we got it and it was a little bit cleaner but not completely, it was a non smoking but it was just one bed, so we had to go once again to the lobby and we got a different room again, this time it was non smoking, two beds, restroom was ok, the sofa was heavily torned, which personally,i don't mind because i dont use it, but it doesnt look good at all. Sheets had some stains. We could sleep well but it was a big hassle this time to have an OK room. I've defended this hotel before because i've had great experiences but this was totally different. And the check-out process was different, there was a lady in the entrance, not in the lobby counter, receiving the key cards. I Hope you guys can work on these matters to be better!

The hotel was clean, coffee in room and was hapoy to give a couple extra cups because I am a coffee lover. Pool was clean, although it was a bit too chilly to swim. Free breakfast was good. Cereal, fresh coffee, oatmeal, juice and a nice selection of danishes. Enjoyed our stay.

Front desk issued my room key to someone else. I was in my room luckily and someone tried getting inside but couldn't because I had the deadbolt and door locked. As soon as I went to the door (thinking it was house keeping) I realized that the front desk gave someone else my room! Terrible experience. WiFi very slow, breakfast was sugary juice and oatmeal- very deceptive description. The room was a non smoking room and stunk like years of cigarettes. Never again.

Old hotel only great location even Door hard to open

House keeping was friendly and accommodating... It was okay

Staff was polite and friendly parking I arrived at 9pm and left at 11 am as scheduled

Groupon is always great, and I was attending an event at the GHL, so I decided to get a room there in advance= WRONG! There were roaches in our room, the garbage in our room was full there was a bag a chips shoved behind the night stand but we could see it when we turned on the light. The ceiling in the bathroom was very low and we could see all sorts hair on it. Housekeeping had ashed out a cigarette in the toilet and left it like that. The pool was loaded with bugs. The ac did not work well and this is Arizona, it was 109+.

Good place for a night or two but nothing more. Rooms are pretty tiny though the bed is comfortable. The tvs dont have HDMI slots, which sucked but it is what it is.

If there is a dead roach found in your bathroom, your ceiling is at most 2 stars. That rating drops further when you bring it to the desk's attention and no action is carried out. I waited a few hours past the designated time before falling asleep for maintenance or somebody to make sure the pipes were good to use in the bathroom, and they never came around. The "Continental Breakfast" is pathetic. Just some pastry strudels with 2% milk and cereal. No eggs, bacon, or anything really continental breakfast-like. Don't be fooled. Probably the only thing that could hurt your rating worse than a dead roach is no access to wifi on a business trip. I had to use my hotspot often because their system would glitch and lock me out. This is extremely inconvenient when business is what I came down here to do. Finally a note on the location. This is a part of town where my friend's roommate was mugged and spent months rehabbing back in Boston after being hit in the back of the head with the back of a shotgun. This is not a good part of town, and you might legitimately die if you hang around it. For all this hotel has to offer, had I known about everything I was getting earlier, I never would have chose this one. I chose it solely for the convenience of proximity to Pima, but that wasn't worth it whatsoever. Stay away; I'll be awaiting to see if I get my security deposit back despite not contributing to the condition of the room.

This hotel was a great deal for the price! Had several issues with my room key, but they fixed it quickly both times and the rest of the stay was nice. Their breakfast selection leaves a lot to be desired. The lobby smelled like fresh paint so they must be remodeling it which is good.

Thank you for visiting us at GLH Hotel. Beyond the common security deposit/authorization on a debit/credit card, we are very sorry that your experience with us was not up to standards. We are taking your comments and feedback to go over with staff. We are also making changes to the room that will be more comfortable for our guests. The hot water issue we will look at; as well as the bedding,
