I've stayed here twice. First time was fine. Stayed in a room with a cute balcony that faced the pool. Beautiful hotel. Posh modern decore. Located in a hip downtown area. JUST BE SURE YOUR ROOM IS NOT ON THE SIDE WITH THE NIGHT CLUB. At 11:30 pm after a long day I had to call the front desk to try to move rooms. There is a club next door and it VIBRATES your room. I was on the 8th floor. I appreciate the hotel moving me but it was not fun to get up, get dressed and trapes through the hotel at midnight. 2 of my colleagues experienced the same thing that night. So, light sleepers beware! Otherwise, nice hotel. I was moved to an interior room
Just Relax and Enjoy! We were there for a weekend. The hotel has a truly zen and beautiful downtown location. The interior decorating and design was spot on, the service of ALL staff was above and beyond anything we have experienced, the breakfast was also great. The roof pool with the magnificent sunset views with a nice seating area and bar is also breathtaking. The staff were all so helpful and did it with a smile on their face, they were so friendly, making you feel you like you were the only person there. The simple, modern, Scandinavian and clean line decoration design fits this hotel perfectly. Its really like they thought of everything to please your stay! We were so happy with our stay that it actually was sad to leave! Overall we had the best stay ever in Tucson and definitely will be back there and will recommend this peace of heaven in central Tucson to everyone. THANK YOU, AC Hotels, by Marriot. We felt special from the beginning to the end. The directorship and management that make this resort the place deserves a tremendous KUDOS! Can't wait to return to this little piece of heaven. Great memories, Milos & Beata.
What I really liked: the flexible wand reading lights beside each bed making it possible to read things printed on paper. Excellent Sound proofing; the shower; and the hair dryer. What I didn't like: No dresser drawers (there were 2 inconveniently placed small drawers, rather like kitchen cabinets. Erratic housekeeping -- never knowing when, or if, the room would be tided. Everything was angular and squared off including the stool, but the problem was the bathroom sink. It was square and shallow and sprayed or splashed water on you as you brushed your teeth. It being a hotel for millennial's, there was no hotel directory or list of services without downloading the app, We seniors are accustomed to a telephone with buttons for things like "housekeeping". There is cacophony outside at any given hour, but our room was blissfully immune. The HVAC works almost too well. The business center does not work well. If you need to print a boarding pass, go directly to the front desk. The people at the front desk, the bar tenders, and the breakfast hosts were all super friendly and helpful.
Overall a great place to stay. Perfect location in the heart of downtown, im young so it’s perfect to step out and have some drinks and walk back to my room so the noise thing didn’t bother me at all. Nice rooms, only downfall i can think of is it doesn’t seem to have complementary breakfast. As pricey as it is for a night you would think complementary breakfast would be a thing. Still a really nice place to stay, will definitely come back.
Beautiful room, loved the pool, but having a room on the North side was tough in a a Friday and Saturday night. There is a club immediately below that BUMPS (literally) playing house/club music until 2am. The first night I slept through it but my husband couldn’t...and vice versa the second night. This was my second stay at this location. First stay I had a room on the west side and didn’t have the same issue.
Currently staying at this hotel, writing my review at 1:20 am because of the noisy bar outside (even with ear plugs in). I wish I had asked for a room on the other side of the hotel but didn’t know about the noise Issue. The hotel is gorgeous, rooms well-appointed, restaurants within walking distance. The streetcar system made it easy to get to my conference at U of A...just wish I had gotten more sleep.
great fairly new property in the center of downtown Tucson. Has a European vibe. big lobby, nice rooms. everything is clean and very neat. staff is young, friendly and works hard to be helpful. would stay here again
Love this hotel and the location is spot-on! Love the clean look and the wood floors; The rooms are decorated for travelers and not the old way with ugly draperies, chairs and stuff. Two bottles of water & glasses chilled in the refrigerator; luggage bench that fits two carry-on pieces of luggage. Dispensers on the shower wall with large print of what’s held inside. The balcony is small but does fit a chair. Ours overlooked the outdoor swimming area. Just walk out the doors to restaurants, two breweries, two great coffee places and live music! We would come here again!
I just finished my fourth stay at this Tucson hotel. I’ve spent many nights in other Tucson hotels and this is my favorite. The location is excellent. There are many things to do and places to eat, all within a short walk. I like the AC Hotel format. The rooms are nice and very comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel.
I'm now a "Marriott" guy and getting used to Marriott versus Hilton. I've stayed at this property a few times now and really do enjoy staying at this property. As a business traveler, I look for some level of consistency in my stay and this hotel accomplishes that. It tries to be trendy and modern, but it misses the mark in a couple of areas... Why don't they have clocks in the rooms? As a business traveler working on multiple time zones, I want to be able to just look over and see what time it is -- I don't want to have to go to my computer, IPad or phone to get the time... not trendy. The workout room is almost adequate... it's wonderfully clean and the equipment is new. However, it needs at least one more bench for working out! The only have one and if somebody is using it, you are out of luck. The universal weight machine (Matrix) is good, but again... no bench. The only other mild down side, is if you are on the side where Club HighWire is... The thudding from the speakers from the open air patio dance floor can be significant.
