The staff was very helpful and provided great service. I had the experience of staying with long-time friends. I was there for a week and hope to go back next year! I went with a group and they did a commendable job making sure everyone was taken care of.
I ended my last review of the White Stallion Ranch (WSR) saying I was hoping to return to the Ranch this year. Well I did, independently and for 10 days! It was even better than last year, the family accommodated me by giving me Stormy again which was wonderful the food and everything was just as good if not better than before. I was slightly apprehensive about going on my own but I soon met some lovely people. The weather was only slightly cooler than last year. I would recommend the WSR to singles or families. It'll be the best holiday you've ever had.😁😁😁😁
WSR is beautiful and the service is excellent. We were there for a week and we really did feel like were were staying with friends. There is a lot to do and the whole vibe of WSR is relaxing. I'd love to go back with my nieces and nephews next time! I would whole-heartedly recommend this destination spot. Loved all of it.
This ranch provides the best service of any resort I have ever visited. Whether it’s housekeeping, kitchen, front desk, the wranglers, the van drivers, the workmen, the service is the highest. It is beyond excellent! Whether you are an experienced rider, a beginner, someone who is terrified to get on a horse, or any other kind of rider, you will be perfectly matched with your horse. You will receive personal attention even in a group lesson. I was amazed at how the wranglers meet everyone’s needs in a lesson. The variety of rides that are available guarantee that what ever your interests are and level of riding there is a ride for you. The accommodations are simple and elegant at the same time. Plan your next vacation or company trip today. You will be so glad you did
This past week I had a life changing experience at White Stallion Ranch thanks to the focused attention and hospitality of the staff and especially the wranglers (thanks, Danielle!). I was attending a Landmark conference and had come to overcome my fear of horses and reaffirm my physical ability to take on new experiences. The attention all the staff paid to my well being and to fulfilling my requests were exceptional and I have done a ton of traveling for business and pleasure. I am headed back for sure! Don't miss the experience; you will pat yourself on the back for the wise vacation choice you made!
This was such a great mid week short break! Arriving Tuesday lunch time we were able to eat then ride that very afternoon! The horses were great for a non rider like me but I would imagine for an experienced rider even the “fast rides” would be a little tame. The food was plentiful but basic/low quality cafeteria style. The rooms are rustically decorated in an authentic ranch style. The staff are friendly and very helpful and couldn’t do enough for you. The pool and surrounding area was a great place to relax after a hot time riding. The evening entertainment was fun and informative. It was great that there was no TV in the rooms. The WIFI was amazing with coverage over most of the site and no need to constantly re log in!!
This was my 8th visit to WSR and it is usually a magical place. Unfortunately this year was completely different. It was fabulous to meet up with old friends and the wranglers and staff were as fantastic as normal. This year there were 35 female school children booked at the same time. It was hell!! My husband and his friend (pretty much non riders) could not use the pool or hot tub (didn't seem to be any chaperones about) so were not happy to use the facilities. They were rude to other guests. Cannot book for next year because there is a Bridge Conference. Not sure where WSR is going but I wish them luck
You will know that you are there by the smell that seems to pervade. (Horse manure.) For those not expecting luxe and cannot get enough horse time, this is the place to be. Even the bar stools are saddled and Sunday is the only day there is a rest from riding. This place really spans age ranges and caters to big groups of youngsters. It may be good to know who is staying there before booking if seeking adult time.
I loved this place it was really superb. The rooms clean and comfortable the food was good and as a vegetarian really well catered for nothing was too much trouble. My son loves to ride and did the team penning twice and all the fast rides. I am no rider and have a fear due to a bad fall when younger. I had 2 lessons with Stephen he was fantastic I over came my fear and was out on a fast ride all down to his teaching. He was so encouraging in such a laid back way you couldn't help but want to lope (canter ). If your having a lesson book with Stephen I would never imagine I would be out on the fast ride I absolutely loved it The horses are well looked after and well behaved and the western style riding is so different ..in a good way. My only regret is I didn't stay longer.
My friend and I stayed for a week 24th Sept -1st Oct we are not great riders but everyone made us feel great, slow rides, mountain trails ( we saw a coyote) its like a cowboy film set. Go with the film man Marty and see where loads of westerns were set. Absolutely fabulous food congrates to all the cooks. Rooms were lovely, clean and comfortable. Russell the owner and his wife are really super. My pony Secretariat was a lovely boy. I can understand why folks go back. Evening entertainment short but good fun. Thanks to all the wranglers, learner wranglers and all who made our stay so great. Cynthia and Lou.
