Fantastic property with a great staff!

Like honor system bar and dinner.

The White Stallion Ranch deserves all the five-star reviews that it has received. Rooms are stylish, modern, and comfortable. Meals are well-prepared and efficiently served. The nightly live entertainment is varied and thoroughly enjoyable. Staff are friendly and professional. Even if you skip the trail rides and shooting lessons offered, and do nothing more than feed treats to the horses and enjoy the silence of the desert, the Ranch is less than 20 miles and 100 years away from Tucson's hassles.

Beautiful views, quiet. To many flies in the room

Outstanding accommodations and great activities. Staff were very friendly too

Clean friendly staff. Great location and amenities. Definitely worth it.

This place was absolutely fantastic and the best to escape from the world! The staff members were extremely friendly and the place was extra clean!

Fabulous stay. Highly recommended. loved the staff. Great for beginning, intermediate advanced riders.

I honestly don’t know how to rate this ranch. We were looking for somewhere near Saguaro national park with a feeling of place and in this way it was near perfect. The grounds are beautifully maintained, has an excellent rec room for kids, a small petting zoo, clean pool, great hot tub, serves good and reasonably priced food and provides solid free live entertainment every night. All matched by friendly and helpful house staff. BUT if you read the other”non stellar” reviews of this ranch you will see they have the same theme. The horse riding is incredibly boring. I am in total agreement and if your primary goal is the riding, and you are anything other than a total beginner, I would pass on White stallion ranch and perhaps on all ranches in the Tuscon area. Its very dull. For good reason. Because of the high degree of cactus in the area, they enforce a strict single file, stay on the 2 wide trail, slow walk policy. On a slightly open spot another rider step out of line by about a foot. He was told bluntly to get back in line (the horse staff are not cut from the same friendly cloth as the house staff so there is a risk you'll get shouted at if you let the boredom get to you). Even for the hundred yards on the road at the end of the ride, you are told to remain in single file as the horse will get flighty as they near home. I don’t blame them for wanting to protect the horses but this made for the most boring riding I have ever done anywhere. I notice from other reviews the ranch will always respond with the fact they have many intermediate and advanced riders who return many times. And, some of the other good reviews are from people who say they are experienced riders. But I just don’t know how that could be true. These rides don’t provide you with any control at all. You get on, you get off. The horse does the rest just following the one in front nose to butt. We were told by other riders that the longer (and allegedly more advanced) rides are also 90 butt to tail so we went on a short ride. I am glad we did as it was very dull and i think i would have gone crazy if i was out there for much longer. i ride i let my reins drop for a couple of hundred yards and it was no problem. The horse was on auto pilot. If there are experienced riders who enjoy this it’s a mystery to me as to why. On check out, we commented and were told that's its dangerous terrain and the horses come first. Fair enough. But if you are after a riding vacation i'd recommend you go somewhere with better terrain than White stallion. What was immense fun is the Calf Penning. Contrary to the above you are allowed free rein (excuse the pun) in the corral to canter your horse in teams after the calves in a penning exercise. Riders of all levels will love this but they only do it a couple of times a week (so check the times). So, I expect the usual response from the ranch defending their rides and they are welcome to their opinion. You have mine and I would not come here for the riding. I will say that if rather than a week long dude ranch, your are looking for a short vacation stay in the Tuscon area, these guys are an excellent choice for families. Especially if you are there on a penning day. But if you are after a riding experience, go elsewhere (probably Montana).

Will be going back another time to stay Longer. Met alot of Great people who have been coming back for 15 to 18 years. Peace and Quiet, Very, Very Relaxing. Just what we needed.

every single person on the ranch made this a unforgettable experience. We can't wait to go back. We have met the most wonderful people from afar. The horses are amazing. The views phenomenal. The wranglers terrific and the food great. There was entertainment every night. The weather was perfect. All are needs were attended to.

Friendly staff, very organized, lot's of fun. Came here by myself and met friendly people from all over the world.
