great location in Tucson; quiet, safe, convenient. room was very comfortable, a great base for visiting the area. at least two decent eateries steps from the front entrance. right on the river with biking and walking; farmers markets on the weekend in the plaza. made our visit to Tucson most enjoyable.

Enjoyed the stay. Clean rooms. Nice facility. Will be back!

This is the first time we traveled to Tucson. We loved this hotel and especially liked the nearby walking trail. The room was super and the breakfast in the morning was great!

We came to Tucson for a wedding and spent 3 nights. Honestly I couldn't be more satisfied.

Nice new hotel great location hotel has been beautifully renovated The facilities and staff are excellent Spacious rooms and suites

Maid was sloopy by not replacing our towels and bathroom soap/shampoo and replacing stained sheets, however everything else was pleasant.

This was our third visit to the Windmill Suites. This hotel is one of the best value places to stay in Tucson. The suite consists of a living room, kitchenette, bedroom with a sink in addition to a full bathroom. There are two TVs. The pool area is lovely. So is the lobby. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. St Phillips Square has restaurants, shops, and art fairs from time-to-time.

Nice value for a hotel located near UA. We have stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions and always found it to be warm and friendly. Some renovations are going on at St. Philips Plaza but do not really impact access to the hotel. will certainly stay there again.

It was our first time visiting Tucson. This motel was a good location and had a nice breakfast. We visited the Biosphere, hiked some of the trails at Sabana Canyon, and visited Tombstone.

Wait until next year to stay here. Very outdated- telephone my toilet in bathroom. Carpet old, furnishings worn- wait til renovated.

We chose this hotel because it's near family members and it has a reputation for being comfortable and quiet. Our room didn't disappoint: it was very spacious, quiet, and comfortable; the complimentary breakfast much better than average. No restaurant or bar--these can be found a few steps away in another part of the plaza. The TV works fine but is an old model. Our room had a kitchenette, and there's a Trader Joe's across the street for shopping; but we ate at the relatives' home. Highlight was a day trip south to Patagonia, Nogales, and Tumacacori, through beautiful countryside.

Great location. Excellent staff. Pool and spa were good. Breakfast could have used some variety (got repetitive after a week). Nobody blinked twice at two dads traveling with our son. All in all, for a family stay over spring break, this was a great place for the price. We would definitely stay again.

They had trouble with plumbing when I was there. The shower only disgorged (very) not water for two days running. I returned from breakfast one morning with water trickling through the ceiling. They had been attacking water problem in suite above mine, and it had flooded. No apology, no mea culpa, no nothing.

Beds, outstanding, this is the most important thing to us, breakfast is more than usual continental! Great, this place is worth the price! Some issues with trying to get hot water to cool down in shower, and they were having some type of sewage issue our last day, toilet water hot and smelly, weird. But definitely would book again!

Windmill is a great value, offering daily breakfast, pool and hot tub, fitness room, location by a plaza with 4 great restaurants, next to river trail for bike and walk. It's very neat and clean, the rooms are all small suites with living area, small kitchen area with micro, fridge and sink and bedroom with another small extra sink/mirror area and closet. Very nice. Looks like the whole place was recently refurbished. It does have the old tube style TV's and the couch was not super comfy, but both of these are minor issues. We plan to return.

Nice place. All the rooms were taken. Lots of merchants.

The property was perfectly located for us inasmuch as we were visiting family nearby and attending the ASU/UCLA football game (also close by). The Hotel is located in a complex with Dining Options. Across the street is a Trader Joe's. It is a straight shot from the airport , 25 minutes on the same street. Breakfast is free and good quality, and there is a nice pool in the center of the property. Adjacent to the Hotel is a bike/walking trail...great for exercising in the AM. The Staff was responsive to requests. Also if your visit includes a Sunday morning, there is a fun Farmers market on the site. Very fairly priced!

I had a great room with a kitchen area and living area separated by doors from the bedroom for privacy. Since I was staying for 5 days I was able to keep a few things in the refrigerator and the sink came in handy too. I loved the bike trail just across the parking lot and the swimming pool and hot tub was well maintained. The staff was always helpful and took the time to answer all my questions. Since the hotel is on a main street, getting around Tucson was easy. I would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I stayed at the Windmill at St Philips Plaza while visiting our daughter for the first time since she moved to Arizona. We enjoyed an active vacation, biking along the Rillito River Trail, hiking on Mount Lemon and swimming in the Windmill's pool. We also enjoyed the town Festival and toured the Mini Time Machine Museum. All this after our daily delicious continental breakfast. The hotel staff was friendly and we can't wait to visit Arizona again!

My family and I just stayed in this hotel, and we had a great experience. It's in a convenient location, and the price is very competitive -- you can't fairly compare this place with a 5-star ranch resort. The rooms are all suites with separate living room and bedroom, a bathroom, and a tiny kitchenette with microwave and mini-fridge. There are three sinks -- one in the bathroom, one outside the bathroom, and one in the kitchenette. The two double beds are modest-sized, but they were clean and comfortable. Overall, the suite felt pretty big even with 2 adults and 2 kids sharing it. We had no problems with the cooling system, noise, or maintenance. The staff is extremely friendly and laid-back here (in a good way), and the cleaning service was great. They had a nice outdoor pool and hot tub, which we used. Free breakfast every day went beyond continental with hot food and a waffle maker. You could also get free coffee, apples, and cookies throughout the day. Parking was a breeze, but then again, this was Tucson. All in all, I can highly recommend staying here. Sure, there are also some great vacation rentals in the area, but if you are going the hotel route, give this place serious consideration.
