I stay at the JW Marriott regularly when I am in Tucson. I love the place! I like staying here when I want to just hang out. I stay at another location downtown if I want to enjoy the nightlife and restaurants around town. The pools at the JW are the best in Tucson. I have stayed at a lot of places in Tucson. If you have kids or just want to soak in the sun, it is a great location to have a great day or two of pool-side fun in the sun!
I always enjoy the atmosphere
its a lovely property and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay
Awsome
Beautiful grounds and surrounding scenery. Fun pool area with lazy river and water slide. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Our room was very comfortable and spacious. Lots of amenities - everything you may need for your trip is on-site. 5/5
Starr Pass is a beautiful setting. We were there Easter weekend and it was busy as expected; however, it was disappointing that there were not adult only swimming options after dark - the hot subs were chock full of kids. Having an alternative venue for adults only would be a nice feature, especially to sooth aching joints after hiking/touring all day.
I've stayed here a number of times for work - this was the first time I was on vacation. It's a lovely place and they are really making it safe and clean - while trying to maintain the luxury of the place. If I'm ever in Tucson - this is where I stay.
Saw the desert sunrise from the patio each day. Amazing. Great breakfasts too.
It is beautiful and peaceful; a hidden gem in the Tucson Hills. We love to go there for healing times. Pools and Lazy River are wonderful...but they need to control crowds at Lazy River (maybe make 2-hr appt times) as there was no social distancing or masks and river run was jammed full by 1 pm. Food was good and available on the Veranda; appreciated that. Live music also on Sat night at the bar. During COVID, much is closed there; spa, shops. Suggestion: One could also make an appointment to buy something In the shop, if needed. But I do appreciate staff and service constrictions during this time of Covid when hotel expenses are impacted.
We had ordered dinner for 4 with adult beverages thru Salud restaurant and ate in the Patio/bar... the food and drink was good... service was good until they became busy. We charged it to our room... No problem... we checked out via phone ... Then reviewed our charges once home.. found that the dinner was charged 3 times... 3 times $362. the gal we spoke with was going over the itemized bill and ignored the large triple charge until after told the resort fee and parking didnt make the total 700.00 over what it should of have been... I expect better Customer service from a JW Marriott... and Not try to get away with triple charging... very dissapointing ... Possible a not gonna be going there again kinda thing. too bad!
I love the atmosphere of the resort, it feels very open.
Starr Pass is a beautiful property. The rooms are very clean.
Very good food and service at restaurants. Primo desserts were great.
Fantastic family getaway with our 5 and 7 year olds! Pools were well maintained and provided lots of entertainment for the kids. The daily tequila toast
If you are staying in Tucson for anything, this is the place to stay. The check in was quick and easy, rooms clean, beds comfortable and view amazing. We ate at the restaurant on property (Signature Grill) and it was reasonable and delicious. I recommend this great resort to anyone.
The property was Amazing! The lazy river and views were a bonus.
