This property was a complete mixed bag. The room was beautiful and very large, which was our favorite part about the hotel. It was hard to get our dogs out of the car and onto the grass area for them to pee because there was no sidewalk. They squealed and went down on their bellies because the pavement was too hot on their paws. They also did not like the fake grass at all. The parking was a real challenge due to conferences taking place on the property. We were surprised when we woke up the next morning to a completely empty lot after we had struggled to park upon arrival. Also, this was a big superficial party hotel. Everyone by the pool getting drunk, being loud, taking selfies, etc. made it not an ideal place for my kids to be exposed to. The pool towels were out for over an hour after I asked a staff member for a clean towel. Finally, the people in the room across from our room were so loud most of the night (intoxicated), yet we were the ones threatened with a fine if our dogs barked - a waiver we had to sign upon checking into the hotel. Overall, I really felt like this hotel was trying too hard to be cool, yet not taking the little things into consideration.

We love the pool party with the dj, the decor of the rooms and hotel and the staff is wonderful!

Loved the vibe of the property & the loyalty to the theme throughout. The staff is young & learning customer service. Really superior in the bellman/porte cochere area. Great housekeeping team. The restaurant/bar staff could use a little training. Saw lots of senior guests (like us!) & there was a disconnect between service at the area alongside the bar. Tables & chairs set up for guests but no service unless you walk to the bar & ask. A little disconnect in following up with tables in restaurant. We had to have our waiter tracked down on a slow day. Also received confusing directions when asked about getting around the hotel & grounds. Overall a great trip and the hotel was highly praised by locals & drivers.

My new favorite place to stay in Scottsdale. Location, location, location. The staff is amazing!

Great piece of AZ history, in the heart of Scottsdale. Excellent Spa Services.

Great hotel! Loves the location and friendly staff! The monderness of the hotel was really unique! Loved it!

Very nice hotel and the food was excellent! I would highly recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Location was superb. We had two meals there which were both excellent. The room was modern and spacious. Bathrooms are very important to us & this one was extremely clean and laid out well with plenty of space. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful during eery interaction. Don't have one complaint.

Convenient to restraints, nice trendy experience, great service, pol dj

Enjoyed the classic period music at the restaurant, wish the same style of music was playing at the pool area

As a former Scottsdale resident, I had driven by the Valley Ho on many occasions. As a returning visitor, I was VERY impressed with the hotel location, accommodations, look and feel, and just about everything else! The gym was top notch, staff friendly, and parking was super easy.

This is NOT a 4-star hotel. There are no complimentary amenities at this hotel, everything and I mean everything comes with a price. The staff seems like you're ruing their day by making a request, not all but more than one which made it an issue. The other guest are welcomed to carry on loudly into the early morning hours. This is not the place if you're looking for rest and relaxation.
