If you’re looking to stay in a unique hotel with amazing service, I recommend the Hotel Valley Ho. The hotel is within walking distance (1 or 2 blocks) of Old Town Scottsdale and has a hopping bar/restaurant onsite and poolside drink and food service. The only notable downside was the Signature King room’s extra firm mattress and odd sliding door toilet room that offered little privacy for those using the facilities. I’d stay there again but pay for a room upgrade.

This is a wonderful change of pace from the Chain Hotels. Lots of cool retro design and furnishings, comfortable bed and bedding. Love the tubs and the pool area as well.

The hotel has a beautiful aesthetic reminiscent of the 1960s but classic and very clean, creating a charming atmosphere from the moment we arrived. The ballet staff were friendly and professional, as were the receptionists and bar staff. The pool area had a pleasant ambiance, and everyone appeared relaxed and happy.

I would have given this 5 stars but the weekend festivities at the pool was a little loud for my liking. They do have an alternate pool but the sound travels there as well. They need to tone down the music and play more of a variety.
