The hotel is in a great location in the Old Town area. On the weekend this is a party hotel. Great Bar and pool. If you are looking for a place for fun this is it. If you are looking for quiet and a relaxed location this might not be what you are looking for.

The property was beautiful and so much fun! They’re not kidding about the party’s though, so bring some good ear plugs if you want to stay asleep and you’ll be fine. We had a great time!

The Hotel has a beautiful building but the amenities were not good. The mattress was of low quality and not comfortable. The shower floor was too slippery and no bars to hold on .
If you want a place to stay in the heart of scottsdale the W os the place to be. Restaurants Bars Clubs all right outside your door. The pool was alot of fun. They have dj sat and sunday starting at noon. Room was clean and comfy. Great time!!
Terrible experience with Matt the manager. We were not able to check in until 6 pm after arriving at 10:00 am and asking for early check in but being told our room would be available at 3:00 pm. His excuse was sorry people check out late and we don't have enough staff. Very very rude
On the Second day of our stay, we returned to our room at 9pm to find a strangers doggie bag with a warm steak in it from a nearby steakhouse on the floor of our room. There was a mans wallet on the dresser and other random trash that had not been there when we left our room that morning. $40 dollars in cash was stolen from the table. We called security and the manager of the hotel to report these findings. We were told that a hotel employee had provided an unauthorized person a key to our room. we were outraged that someone clearly had access to our room without our permission! The manager apologized, then stated "you have to understand, you are at the W, people get extremely intoxicated and things happen." That was the only explanation given. This is a very dangerous situation and judging by the manager's nonchalant attitude, one that has happened in the past and will continue to happen. A police report of the events was made even though the manager told us that wasn't necessary.
