Our room was a bit beat up in ways. Main door didn't close easily or quietly. Freezer smelled like pickles. There was a spoon in the disposer. Suite bedroom window had a huge taped up crack. Bedroom TV color was bad. Main room TV remote didn't work on it and the only thing you could do on that TV was plug in your own HDMI cable. Closet doors were hard to open as if they were not on the rails. Bathroom door didn't close easily.

Unfortunately, this hotel is not in the best location and is not walkable at all. However it is convenient to SLU and surrounding areas. The property itself is a little run down and I've elevator was down while we were there. Me thankfully, we were on the third floor and could take the stairs. Paying for parking is ridiculous given that we paid for the room and it should be included. I wouldn't start here again knowing that, but it's a decent place to stay right off the highway

Needs Maintenance

Some of the room features were definitely neglected. Tons of dirt build up on vents, garbage in hallway for 24 hours. Baseboard was separated from wall and mold was on wall behind it, damp carpet under the window, peeling paint on the bathroom door.

Ok stay

The room was very clean. However, the furniture was very old and outdated. The pool was old but warm and water clear and clean. The staff was very nice. Breakfast was good. The one bedroom suites only have queen size beds and not king. We preferred a king and thought the suites had a king size bed. That was very disappointing.

The staff at the hotel is excellent. Breakfast was also good. The facilities are old and in need of an upgrade. Our in suite coffee maker had mold growing in it and the shower leaked into the adjoining room when the shower was used.

Uncomfortable stay/pissed guest

Check-In went well but once in room I started getting a little irritated. The mattress did not fit in bed rail and the rail was so close to the wall due to it being longer than the mattress that it was very hard to get to the other side of the bed without injuring yourself which I did twice because you couldn’t see it due to the sham overlapping it. The TV would not turn to face the sofa nor the bed so we tried to turn the stand that the TV was sitting on towards the bed and the bottom of the old stand was breaking. We went to turn the TV on and it kept saying that there was no signal. We called down to the front desk to alarm them that the TV was not working and we were trying to watch the game and they said they were gonna send someone up. Waited 10-15 minutes, No one ever came up. We called back to the front desk and asked, could they just give us a new room they agreed so my husband went down to get new keys to the new room. As we settled into the new room, we discovered that the freezer did not have an icemaker, but it had the ice bin to catch the ice in it and when we went to the first floor to get ice out of the ice machine, that was nasty and dirty, and it was infested with some little flying net Bugs. I’m not sure if they were fruit flies or what they were. The curtain had a nasty brown stain on it, on one side of the mirror the light was not working, and the bulb was out in the bathroom where the toilet and shower was, only one elevator working. Underwhelming Visit

I recently stayed at this property and unfortunately the experience did not meet expectations for a Marriott brand hotel. During my stay, there was ongoing construction/repair work on the floor where our suite was located. This allowed small flies and gnats into the area, which was unpleasant. Cleanliness overall was below standard — walls and doors had visible food residue that had not been wiped down properly. One of the bedroom doors locked automatically when closed, which posed a significant **safety hazard** for us. Additionally, neither of the televisions in the bedrooms worked correctly. One required re-synchronization by maintenance, and the other was deemed in need of replacement. Check-in was also a slow process, although the staff did accommodate us with early check-in, which we appreciated. However, one elevator was out of service during our stay, which made moving around the hotel less convenient. When I was calling for a late check out, it took the desk clerk 3 phone calls to answer. Overall, the property felt poorly maintained, and the level of cleanliness and functionality was well below what I expect from Marriott. With attention to detail, improved maintenance, and a stronger focus on guest safety and comfort, this could be a much better experience, but as it stands, it was disappointing.
