The property is in poor condition and badly designed. Bags have to be dragged up two flights of stairs to the tiny check in lobby. The balcony door to our unit would not lock and the unit with the next balcony was under renovation with an open door without a handle or lock to the hallway. The sliding door to the toilet area was off its track - no privacy at all! As others have mentioned the pool is long out of service and a horrible eyesore. All in all a very bad “resort” experience.

Best part: so close to restaurants and the beach, the employees, specially the bartenders at Mint bar They where great Bad part: hotel is under construction, crazy noise all over the place, no Pool is been close for a year

The property is not anything that sustains the price. They are on renovation and their structure is not in conditions to have guests. Ceilings are moldy and bathtub was cracked. Never again staying there!

We arrived very early in the morning. I thought I rented a two twin bed room. When I arrived to the hotel, we got a 1 king bed room. The staff tried to find a room but we had to wait an hour. The room they offered us had a broken glass on the balcony door and faced the dumpster. They tried to find another room but we had to wait until noon. We canceled the reservation and stayed somewhere else. Besides all that, the pool and the gym were under construction. But there was nothing on the Expedia page saying so. Had I noticed, I wouldn't have reserved a room in the first place. I used to stay at ESJ early in the 2000s and the experience was always great. They must have change administrations because the place didn't look the same and didn't work the same way. I'm sad to say that I won't be considering it an option anymore.

The room was horrible dirty, when you call customer service it takes 7 or more calls for some to finally answer and when they do it takes them hours to get your what you want, bathroom clogged 3 out of the 5 days we were there and every time we had to call multiple times for someone to come to fix it and had to beg because the kids needed the bathroom, room service came once the whole stay when we requested it twice, towel changes required 7 calls everyday to get them and then 3 hour wait on them because the person going around doesn't knock the door just says towels in the whole way and your supposed to hear him if your inside and if your not too bad. Massive renovations need to be done and the place just uncomfortably dirty
