Sorry but this was the most expensive hotel I have ever stayed in. While the staff were AMAZING, the maid service was horrific and I was surprised at how the aesthetics while pretty and seemingly grand, the furniture (dressers/closets/paint on the walls) were in poor condition. The hotel room itself was lipstick on a pig in my opinion. I was so disappointed because we were SO excited. The pictures are misleading for the quality of the room. Our friends stayed as well in another upgraded room and were equally disappointed.
Example, on day 3 I had to beg someone to please clean the room. On day 4 the only service I got was the bed was made. The floors were not swept or mopped. The bathroom still had my toothpaste and hair in sink. I had to chase the housekeeping down and ask for her broom. Overall, for the money I was let down.
Finally, in the rooftop bar, the server scammed us. The manager was amazing and professional. He asked us did we want to tip him, we seaid yes of course. I noticed he never handed us the machine to choose the tip. When he presented the receipt he had given himself a 30% tip. We asked why he did that, and he said "it does that automatically here" The manager confirmed he was lying. Apologized to us but it definitely left a bad taste in our mouth.
