I stayed at these apartments when I arrived from the airport and before my return trip. They were very accommodating with check in times. The house I stayed has two apartments for families. There is another house for smaller families or couples. It is very close to restaurants and the beach is not that far. Easy off the highway (Rt 26) and is on a very quiet street (residential) park on the street in front of house. Love it.

We were very happy with our accommodations at Posada Colonial! My wife and our newborn son stayed here for a week and couldn't have been happier. The apartment was a decent size and was cozy. It had a bathroom, kitchen/living room area, and a bedroom. The apartment we were in had one full size bed and a bunk bed, which is great if you decide to bring kids along. All of this is fine and dandy, but really the best part about this place that made me even want to write a review was just how accommodating the hosts were. We needed a pack & play for our son? Sure, we have you covered. We needed a rolling cooler for the beach? Sure, we have you covered. We needed a blender to make some morning smoothies? Sure, we have you covered. We rented a car, but from what I understand they even offer to pick you up from the airport if needed. At this price point, you really can't beat this level of hosting. Thanks for the accommodations! We hope to be back again one day!

My wife and I stayed here for two nights before our cruise and one night after. Virginia, picked us to and from the airport and also drive us to Old San Juan and to and from our cruise ship. She was very friendly and drove us around the neighborhood to show us where places were. There was a supermarket and several restaurants within walking distance as well as the beach. The apartment was very clean and spacious. They had the air conditioner and ceiling fans running to cool down the room. There was a kitchen with a full-size refrigerator and all the essentials. There was a nice area to sit and eat as well. We had a Siamese cat that hung around our door the whole time. He was our adopted pet. Overall, this was a nice, quiet place to stay.

I spent a week at Posada Colonial while taking language classes at ISLA and doing community service in the area (the first week of a two week trip). It was awesome! The location is excellent—close to the beach as well as lots of restaurants, bars, shops, and groceries. The space was perfect for me: one bedroom, kitchenette, bathroom, patio. I enjoyed living in a regular neighborhood instead of a hotel. Sean, who picked me up from the airport, was personable and informative. The only negatives are not things that can be controlled easily in the tropics: a lizard got into the apartment but I couldn't find him (only his poop!), and some bugs. However, this is standard for any tropical area, and not necessarily a negative against this place. They provided bug spray, which was helpful. I hope to stay here again when we return for our trip next year!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Posada Colonial. We were met at the airport and given a quick tour of the neighborhood. Our apartment style room had a kitchen/dining area, bedroom and personal bathroom. We also had a patio area with table and chairs to enjoy the nice weather. During our stay we made a cat friend who hung out with us throughout our stay. This place is hidden in a neighborhood with easy walking access to the beach, candado neighborhood and the popular Kasalta bakery. Tresbe and Panuchos are the nearest restaurants and both were very good when we visitid. We were also two blocks from a 24 hour bar/convenience store and 3-4 blocks from a 24 hour convenience store which made it easy to stock up on water and other supplies. We would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting San Juan! Skip the Marriot and enjoy PR the right way.

We searched for accommodations for one night following our cruise because airfare back to Atlanta on Super Bowl Sunday was twice the rate of the following day. Also, many of the rates of the hotels were very expensive. To top it off we were especially thankful for the transportation the owner provided from the port, to the trolley stop, and finally to the apartment. We would definitely stay at Podesta Colonial again.

Fantastic location in the heart of a real San Juan neighborhood. Rented the two bedroom unit, it was clean and very comfortable, usable kitchen and wonderful bathroom with walk in shower. Craftsmanship of the tile work is wonderful, air conditioning worked perfect in both bedrooms. Sean picked us up at the airport has planned, nice little tour of the area back to the rental unit. Sean pointed out good eating locations and sights including the beach area, explained the apartment and gave 3 sets of keys.Next morning picked us up and dropped at the cruise....amazing service and value. We felt totally safe in the neighborhood, going out for a fantastic dinner and evening walking the area with great night life, clubs, and bars. As the apartment is away from the main street no noise was heard, except for the rooster in the morning....lol. Beach 8 minute walk and fantastic. If you are looking for 5 star Ritz, or Hilton maybe not the best for you. If you want a feel for the real Puerto Rico, from great Hosts, in a clean apartment it is truly worth a try.

Very good communication with Christiane when we booked our stay. Her husband, Sean, picked us up at the airport and dropped us off this morning at the small airport for our next flight. Extremely nice people and accomodations were spotless. If we were looking at a longer stay in San Juan, we would stay here. We forgot to take pics of the inside but wife took one outside the door. We sat out here last night and I fell asleep listening to the coquis.

We stayed with Shawn for just under a week. There were several restaurants, beaches and stores within walking distance. Shawn picked us up at the airport and helped us get our rental car. We parked the car on the street next to the apartment. The girls loved meeting Shawn's family pets - chickens! Shawn went out of his way to meet us at his workshop to show us the chickens (thank you!). The apartment was simple, straight forward and everything we needed for our trip. My daughter even cooked breakfast one day-who knew...

I traveled to PR with my husband and two boys, my sister, her husbands and her two boys. We wanted a house we could rent and feel at home while on vacation. We only stayed the night we arrived and only because the children where extremely tired. One of the toilets leaked. The neighborhood is NOT kid friendly and I did not trust parking the rental mini van in the street. There is no parking included (only street parking), NO WiFi, and only the two bedrooms have AC. We left in the morning and stayed at a hotel. Honestly the apartment itself is kinda nice and spacious, but the neighborhood was not impressive and it was not trustworthy. My family and I will NOT stay there again.
