Amazing place to stay in old SJ

It is perfectly located in the heart of Old San Juan and the rooms are ample enough to accommodate us. I've been to San Juan more than 2 dozen times and I wish I had known about this wonderful place before.

The vibe of the hotel based on the movie Casablanca was complementary to Old San Juan. The rooftop individual tubs are wonderful and unique. Check in and out super easy. The room was small yet comfortable. The old fashioned windows were charming. Very quiet room since the room we got was at the corner of the building. Centrally located, safe at night. The breakfast was superior. Overall a memorable stay.

I loved the vibe, the theme, the location and the friendly staff. I did not like that the rooms have no trash cans, you have to use the one outside the rooms, no fridge, so you can't keep anything cold. No hairdryer, no iron. You can get those at the front desk, they loan you a steamer and a hair dryer. So better to bring your own, if you want to be sure to have one at hand. Also, a big no no...they don't recycle. The island recycles, but the hotel doesn't, and they need to start doing that.

The staff was fabulous - every single person we interacted with was charming and efficient!

This place is so great and the staff is very friendly.

The staff are super nice, but not that helpful. They couldn’t even get us a taxi that would take credit cards. Had to figure it out myself.

I loved the stone tubs on the roof over looking the city.

Staff was very racist, she claimed that check in was at 4pm but yet other guests were checked in right away upon arrival. I was sitting there from after 8:00 am in the morning and I kindly asked if my mom and I could get checked in earlier as we would be checking out early in the morning for our flight. She kept saying rooms not available yet but all the guests that came after us were checked in. She also had an attitude when I called her out on this and asked if it was because we are not white? All guest should be treated the same regardless of the color of their skin. The night shift staff (Luna) was very nice though but not the morning staff lady (I forgot her name). I won’t be staying at Casa Blanca again. Terrible

When I reserved the room, the description included a balcony allowing in the Caribbean air. I called the hotel to confirm that the room had access to a balcony and or windows, the person on the phone assured me that the room had a balcony. When I arrived at 10pm the room was in the center of the building, on the ground floor with no exterior windows. In fact the on sight staff told me that the room had windows but those "windows" were actually solid glass panels in the wall, not windows. While the hotel had lovely art work the design overall was an uncomfortable facade, not an accommodating aesthetic. The website shows an appealing outdoor area with a variety of water tubs but the rooftop was very noisy with bubbling, chemical Jacuzzis, frankly it was pretty gross. I cancelled the second night of our stay and while the staff made motions to make me happy I spent considerable time getting the refund squared away. While I was on hold on the phone connecting the hotel and Orbitz I thought I'd have some breakfast, which was decent food but the wait staff passed me by for several minutes, I think this was because I had mistakenly defied protocol by seating myself in the hallway/restaurant. Overall a frustrating experience and a waste of time and money.

Great boutique hotel themed after the movie "Casablanca." In the heart of Old San Juan. Would highly recommend. They do charge $28 for late checkout and the TV remote did not seem to work.

I loved the atmosphere and what this hotel does with the Casa Blanca theme - so fun and creative without being the least bit overboard. This is a fun and atmospheric hotel. I would definitely stay again. The only complaint I can dredge up would be the disposable plastic/styrofoam cups for in-room coffee..

The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable about the surroundings. Place was spotless couldn't find a spec of dust

great location - felt vey authentic for old San Juan - great staff

Great hotel with a lovely roof deck right in the heart of Old San Juan. We stayed there our first night in PR and liked it so much we booked it for the last night of our trip. Great for a family of four — we had a suite with a king bed and a balcony looking out on the street, along with a bathroom and a second bedroom with a pair of twin beds.

Great location

I had a 2 bedroom suite with a balcony. My cousins had a room with a balcony. Once it was realized we were together, we were given rooms next to each other. Our balcony were connected. It was perfect! I was happy with everything. Great birthday celebration!
