The atmosphere and how it was set up was so relaxing and elegant. The wine and cheese hour was also great.

The place is magical, centrally located. We loved it. If you have time in the island however, I will book a few days in convent and then book a few days somewhere else like in Vieques.

El Convento is an excellent hotel! The staff was amazing. Everyone had a smile from the receptionists to the housekeepers. Whenever I had a question, the staff had an answer or guided me to someone that could help. I’d definitely stay again!

The location and historical ambience. Excellent decor food excellent as well

We enjoyed our stay very much especially the daily wine and cheese.

Historic San Juan hotel in original center near everything. Wonderful restaurants nearby easy walk everywhere. Perfect location nice staff

Very old hotel Rooms in very bad condition No hot water Food is terrible The only good thing is the great location Go to another hotel!

It is the best place to stay in Old San Juan! The only complaint was the restaurant. It seems to be not managed well, and has no local foods or dishes. But it is close to many other excellent restaurants all within a short walk.

Nice and classic. Very good location in the Viejo San Juan

We have stayed at many hotels in Puerto Rico. El Convento is very particular case. It’s easily the most beautiful hotel in Old San Juan with many great features. There is a rooftop deck with a small wading pool. They offer free wine, water and coffee to their guests and by agreement with certain hotels in Condado we were able to enjoy the large resort pool of La Concha. Taxis are readily available and everyone in the staff was warm and friendly. We had an issue with housekeeping not making up our room several days in a row and I doubt the housekeeping staff ever clean the floors of the rooms but we used the dirty towels to clean up the visible dust and dirt and after a few calls did manage to get our room serviced. The front desk staff seem oblivious to the problem and listen attentively to every call for service and in the end it was not a major problem. The in hotel restaurant is really amazing and we had a wonderful dinner there. The waitress was the best we had during our stay. I would recommend this hotel and stay there again as the great things far outweigh the small annoyances. M. Dane

Nice hotel, well located, had vine, cheese, fruits and coffee as complimentary, worth the stay.

Such a beautiful, grand old hotel. It is right where you need to be in Old San Juan to see all the sites. We didn't take advantage of the sister hotels' beaches, but they are very close as well. The room was beautiful, and we took advantage of the complimentary wine and cheese tasting on the terrace to snap some spectacular photos.

PLEASE BE CAREFUL BEFORE YOU BOOK THIS HOTEL IT IS NOT A BEACH RESORT AND HOTEL FEES ARE NON REFUNDABLE The hotel was just Ok. I would have preferred a beach resort, they do give you passes to get to some beaches but we had to rent a car and the parking fee at there lot across the street is $20 plus tax a day...parking on the street is limited and mostly for the residents of PR

This hotel is AMAZING! I LOVED IT! Great perk, was the bar in the hotel! Sad it closes at 10pm but the staff at the bar would stay late to accommodate me. Pool was lovely and the service top! I will be back!

Couldn’t ask for a better location in Old San Juan. Staff were excellent. Rooms spotless. Loaded with charm. We will def return.

Beautiful Hotel in the heart of old San Juan. Excellent service overall.

Perfect to see old San Juan within walking distance of most attractions. The staff was vet helpful!

Lovely hotel in the heart of old san juan. El Convento has a personality to it that we found refreshing from your typical "big box" type of hotel.
