Good location, clean room and helpful staff. No pool or complimentary breakfast. Very minimal amenities - no tissue paper. Nothing special for the “honeymoon suite” costing about $500 per night. Our room was on the 5th floor but elevator goes up to the 4th floor. We carried our heavy luggage up/down one flight of stairs. Unlikely to return to this hotel.

The hotel is sleek and modern. Our room was clean and fresh. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. A great location to stay for cruises. It is just a 10 to 15 minute walk to the old San Juan Piers. There are also plenty of options for restaurants. It was quiet after dark. What we really likes also was how courteous the drivers are. Many would stop to let you pass and give a wave to us.

Hotel is in a great location in Old San Juan and you can walk everywhere and see the sights. It has recently been renovated The lobby and our room were clean and looked great. The check in at exactly 4 pm needs to be improved. There were 20 people waiting for our keys. So then at 4pm all the rooms were available?! You can start the process at 3:30… maybe…

This expensive hotel deserves a review of its practices. We showed up early in the morning. Told could not check in till 1bpm and walked around old Sa Juan. At 130 pm being tired went back to the hotel and were told we could not check in till 4 pm. By 4 pm 10 other people arrived and joined up sittting in the sparse and austere waiting room. At 200$ per night we were surprized at the waiting room. No water. One bathroom hidded in the back. Curous the 4 pm deadline. It seems to me all the room cannot all be ready at 4 pm but becomenprogressively as the cleaning team cleans one room after another. The desk staff was polite. I hope the admin team reviews this and reevaluates how best to handle paying clients. So unless you plan to come after 3 pm. Beware!

Stayed overnight before leaving for a cruise, and the hotel was sufficient for that purpose. The room was clean, and the bathroom had been recently updated. I appreciated the choice to have all tile (marble) flooring with no carpet in the room. The hotel is still being renovated, so there are a few things that need polishing. Check-in was delayed by about an hour. Located in Old San Juan, walking around and exploring was enjoyable. The hotel is walkable to Pier 4.

Hotel Milano is a budget-friendly, centrally located hotel right on Fortaleza Street in the historic heart of Old San Juan — perfect if you want to walk everywhere, from iconic forts and colonial plazas to restaurants, local shops, and nightlife. Guests consistently give the location high marks for ease of sightseeing and access to cruise terminals too.
