The grounds and pool areas were beautifully maintained. The outdoor resort areas are gorgeous. The rooms were in disrepair. No door handles on either side of the sliding bathroom doors. The bathroom sink pipes leaked onto the floor. We called for help but no one came. One day we had no toilet paper. The shower handle fell off. The sink faucets don't have aerators so the water splashes all over the place. The pillows smelled musty. Dining options are limited especially if it rains. Half of the restaurants are outside. One day, we could not get food except for dinner since it was pouring outside and the indoor restaurants were closed. There's also no room service. The food is expensive and not up to par with a high end resort. I was overcharged one day but it was corrected. It would have been great to see some Puerto Rican cuisine and coffee options. There is no chance of any food substitutions. They stick to the menu religiously. When it rains, there's nothing to do. The water park was great and the lifeguards were hands down the best and most attentive ones that I've ever seen. The funicular is efficient and very well maintained. It's a beautiful resort but it's not ready especially if they are charging $450 per night.

I love Palomino, beautiful island. I’m disappointed with the restaurant at the pool. I ordered fried chicken and it was not cooked well, also the the person who received us at the entrance of the pool restaurant was rude.

This resort is amazing!! Nothing I have seen compares to its views and amenities. A

Great place to stay. The food on site was great along with the staff.

Beautiful resort .. however basic necessities were lacking . I asked for bottled water in my room 3 or 4 times .. that was never received . The ice machine on my floor wasn’t working.. i was told to go to another floor. My room had to be changed due to ants and when I turned on the shower black pieces of something came out . At an A La Carte resort everything should be pristine with top notch service . Although they were nice enough to change the room I still had the inconvenience of having to repack and move . Be ready to spend as everything costs even the water park and trips to the private island . The food was just ok .. Italian Restaraunt was only opened 1 day .Orbitz also created a mixup leaving me to come out of pocket more for an extra night ..I am still reviewing my receipt … just insane .

Beautiful views of the ocean and islands off the coast! Rooms were fine; could use a few improvements here and there. Friendly staff and the concierge and tour desk were both helpful! The food options weren’t bad, but the bars/restaurants have ridiculous schedules and weren’t open most nights for our stay and/or had weird hours. Overall, was a fine stay.

We had such a nice time. Everyone and everything was so nice. The service was wonderful, the food delicious, the views AMAZING and we will definitely return again.

This was our first time in Puerto Rico and this was the most amazing experience staying at this resort.I would recommend this to anyone

Nice view and resort

Property outside is beautiful. Rooms are old, dirty moldly. Sheets and towels are stained. Sofas fifty.. the showers are just gross with old cloth curtains and cracked mold grown tubs. Tv didn't work, phones didn't work, internet was down. $400 to $500 a night is a major rip off. Worst experience by far. If you live in the U.S. the hotel is comparable to a red roof or travel lodge with a nice view.

El Conquistador is wonderful - beautiful property with amazing views and so much to see and do on-site. The private island is great with lots of shade and chairs for everyone. Staff amazing, friendly, and really goes out of their way to make it a great experience. Food is out of this world good, wherever you eat - definitely try to risotto at the italian place some night! Melanie there was so friendly and fun, great service. Only downside is that the hotel is a little older, with hollow-core doors to the hallway. Noise from other guests through the doors can be an issue - although when we approached the front desk about it, they moved us to a quieter location. Even with this, we will definitely be going back!

Palomino island is very lovely place

It felt like the hotel was part of the rain forrest, i loved that when ever i wanted to go to the pool, there was chairs available, didnt have to wake up so early to reserve them. Great Coqui park.

Palomino island was awesome! The thing I didn’t like was the food. And how outrageously priced food and drinks were.

I like pools, bars and restaurants. Safe place for kids, very family friendly. Facility phone was not working to call front desk or house keeping,.... very inconvenient. Water park is a big plus, but no beach activity available easily.

Beautiful property and place. For nearly 600 per night would have expected better service in restaurants. Staff seemed overwhelmed and barely came to table for basics like water refills or drinks. Food average and costly. Would return for amenities and property but wish customer service were better

Still underconstruction but is the best hotel in PR

Beautiful resort. Restaurants weren’t great and not many options considering there’s nothing around and no ubers and taxis charge insane amounts to come there. Starting at 120$ a ride.
