Good stay. Would recommend. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Room was very clean.

When I arrived, was greater by a very warm, charming young woman..big smile through out check in, which was late in evening...I think her name as Alex. Only complaint, if any, I wanted a refrigerator do to my lengthy stay, they were all booked for weekend...I chose there because of it's central location to mall, restaurants, downtown area. The parking gate was having difficulties as well, not to mention being charged $10 a night for parking...some are on tight budgets. I almost parked on street. In conclusion, I've know tis area, and hotel when it was Red Lion, but Double tree is much nicer, friendly, helpful staff, and comfortable stay, thank you. Jack Boga

I arrived at 3pm and have to wait in the lobby for half hour because room was not ready. Was moved from room to room for 3 times. Terrible experience. I should get refund for my stay.

The deep cleaning of the roomers disgusting , the grout on the bathroom tile floor was black, also the overhead light cover in bathroom was full of mold. The worst Hilton I have ever seen, half of the lite bulbs in the room did not work, so you could not see what you were doing. I ho to Sacramento every month and this is the worst hotel that I have stayed at in 5 years. It was so disgusting I canceled my second nite. Very disappointed since I travel 300 miles to make this trip. I believe I should be refunded for both days. I will contact Orbits and Double Tree.

Air conditioning did not work well and eveythjng was really aged

We stayed for the pool, but there was security tape closing it off and they said it was closed indefinitely. There were ants in our bathroom. The cooler was really loud. Room service ordered for delivery at 6:15-6:30 did not come by 6:55 (and no call to tell us the delay), so we cancelled it and had to go without breakfast. Windows in room were dirty and room smelled like cigarettes.

Awful front desk service. Had to pay $8 for parking. Room was nice, nothing special.

I booked 3 rooms for family members for my wedding through Orbitz. I went to hotel early to put fill names on rooms since they were paid in full. When my family started to arrive at 4 which is there "guarantee check in time" they supposedly didn't have any rooms available. I use this hotel for conferences, so this place is huge. Needles to say 1 hour and 45 MNS they got rooms. 30 MNS before my wedding. When I called the front desk they tried to tell me that the reason it took so long for room is every family cc was declined for the deposit for accidententals. Here's my issue. They tell my family rooms aren't ready then tell me this bogus story. I use Orbitz a lot and I have never had an issue. But I feel like this hotel pushed my family to side because we booked through Orbitz. I will not use this hotel or book my conferences at this hotel ever again. The way my family and I was treated was completely unacceptable. As a business owner I will never recommend or use this hotel again.

The staff allowed us to check in over the phone so we wouldn't lose our room due to our second flight running late which would have landed past check in time. We were very grateful for this service! Especially coming into California with three extremely sleepy children ready to go to bed, it made our night much easier. The warm welcome and cookies were awesome bonuses we really appreciated! Definitely recommend this hotel!

Needed a hotel for the night at a decent price for myself and my 11 year old son. I know the DoubleTree brand, so I chose it. Location was convenient for where we needed to be. There's a big shopping mall across the street, so restaurants and shopping are very conveniently located. The property is large and well kept. Nice walking paths with lush landscaping and a nice looking pool (we didn't use it). The room was large and clean, and the beds were very comfortable (and I normally find hotel beds uncomfortable). The decor is a bit dated, but that doesn't bother me at all. It's clean and in good condition. We had a problem with our first room...there was a small dog next door to us that was barking. I called down to the front desk, and Jevon very quickly and professionally moved us to a room down the hall, which solved the problem. In addition to a comfortable room with good air conditioning (and at over 100 degrees outside, we needed it), the hotel has a gym and a restaurant, as well as a small coffee bar with some snacks. It also has a large parking lot. This was a very positive experience for us, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it, or stay there again. Oh, I almost forgot...from about 11pm to midnight, the fire alarm kept going off in the hallway. At first, I thought someone was pulling it, but apparently it was a malfunction. I know this sounds like a big deal, but it was over fairly quickly, and didn't happen again. It was kind of a fluke, I'm sure.

I was more than satisfied with the stay here very friendly staff and convient restaurant in hotel and sports bar. I would definitely come back on my next stay in Sacramento.

Had a friend visit unexpectedly and needed to find a hotel room on short notice, which can be pretty stressful at 10pm and you don't want to spend too much. Found The Double Tree Hotel on Orbitz and tried fruitlessly to purchase online enroute, and was really glad I spoke to the front desk staff first. Joseph, the front desk associate could see I was a little stressed and took the time to sincerely ask me how I was doing, which put me at ease. He told me to book the lowest price room online and that he'd give me the lowest price for my reservation. He offered us two warm chocolate chip walnut cookies (which made my night) and the room he selected was spacious--literally could have parked a VW bug in the extra space. He turned what was a stressful evening into a relaxed one. Few associates would take that kind of time, or to do it so effortlessly. The decor and furniture had a little bit of wear on them but to me the excellent customer service is the highest selling point. Joseph is probably on his way to being a manager as he deserves to be, with impeccable customer service skills. I hope someone takes notice and promotes him. I will definitely be back. It is priceless to have peace of mind knowing you'll be in good hands.

The hotel is conveniently located, almost walking distance from theExpo grounds. The air conditioning was quiet, and didn't click on and off all night. The screen for the TV was larger than standard. The carpeting looked new. I had a connecting door for another room, and there was much more noise from my room neighbors from that door than there would have been otherwise.

The curtains in my room where totally disintegrating with age every pleat near the window was shredded, the dresser had the wood veneer torn off in sections...it looked like the carpet was new, bathroom was OK..bedding was so-so....there was someone climbing the fence as I drove around the hotel at night to find my room...It use to be a great place...it now is definitely in need of some attention!

Orbitz said that the room held 5 (2 double beds and a pull-out couch). This is not correct. The Double-tree does not have a room with this set up. They also will not bring a trundle-bed into the room with double-beds for fire marshall reasons. This is fine - actually normal in hotels BUT Orbitz advertised this incorrectly. The hotel was fine. They didn't even have a room with double beds available. They gave us 2 rooms with king sized beds (and didn't charge us extra). This actually worked out perfect for our family of 5 because we were allowed to have the trundle-bed in the room with the king.

Great service from front desk staff and room was clean. The free chocolate chips cookies were a bonus! They will give you more if you ask for them.

The location is very quiet, safe and convenient.

a quick, but nice stay
