NOT THE DOUBLETREE I REMEMBER

The Check In was smooth and front desk was pleasant. The pool was filthy and disgusting on triple digit HEAT weather. 1st day pool was open but the 2nd day it was CLOSED had pool service done still filthy and strong chlorine smell and finally opened the pool back up at 4 pm. that day but should of remained CLOSED. They need to have regular maintenace done to this pool on a regular basis. Also with the remodel to the Hotel they need to concentrate on the POOL N SPA area with new furniture for the guests to sit on or Umbrella's for some sort of shade like in the past. In all the years of staying at this hotel that is the worst I have ever seen it. As for the Bar and Restaurant very RUDE employee's that basically ignore you. Restaurant and Bar Hours that were listed were changed daily. The Breakfast that we had was HORRIBLE .

When we checked in the front desk was so helpful and accommodating as I was injured so she moved me to a room that was close to the elevator, which was very helpful. Everything with the room was great. However, the ice machine did not work on my floor so I to walk to the frontdeak and back desk and back to find out where a working ice machine was. Which was super inconvenience for me with an injury. That information would have been helpful at check-in. Also this was the 1st Doubletree I have been to that ONLY gave 2 cookies at check-in which I didn't grab because my hands were full and it was 111 degrees outside and I didn't want them to melt as I was unloading. I come for the cookies Lol. Overall it was okay and in a convenient location across the street from a mall and plenty of food in the area.

Not Impressed with Double Tree by Hilton

105° outside. The lobby and hallways were like 80°. Very uninviting, making me concerned about the room. My room was about 85°, AC was on 74°, I turned down to 64°. Fan would not blow more than MED. Took till much later in the evening to cool off. I have a small 4" fan I carry, that made it tolerable. Small breakfasts menu not impressed. Ordered the vegie omelet. Came with bacon inside and looked like a fried egg on top of hash browns. Service very slow. Not impressed. Reception buffet dinner was excellent ! Lastly, on check out day, elevator not working. Walked 3 floors down. Informed counter guy. Received an uninterested "Thanks". I wont stay there again.

Looks wise the room was beautiful as was the lobby area. The elevator was broken and we were not made aware so we had to climb three flights of stairs our entire stay. The pool area was half shut down with tape around the hot tub area, and the pool water was lukewarm and slimy. The ENTIRE hotel was hot and humid. When we first got into our room it was so hot that the AC could not cool the room down. It did not start working until around 1 or 2 am. When we woke up the next morning we attempted to take a shower only to find out there was no shampoo or body wash. I will say they told us housekeeping was not in until 8:30 so we would have to wait until then, but then someone brought it just before eight so that was quick and nice of staff. Lastly, and this really isn't staffs fault, but both nights children were running up and down the hallways yelling all hours of the night.

Great Stay, AC didn't work well

The hotel was clean and the staff were good. The only problem I had was that the AC in the hotel appears to not be keeping up. The room never got cooler than 75F and the hotel hallways were even hotter. I think it might've been a side-effect of the renovation that is occurring but it was a warm hotel.

Don’t let the lipstick fool you, it’s a pig

Did my let the recent updating fool you, this place is a dump. The a/c in the room didn’t blow cold. All of the hallways were stuffy and hot. Cockroaches were running through the halls as I walked to my rooms. Somebody vomited in the hallway(not the hotels fault), but it was there well into the next day. The lock catch on the door jam was broken and the door was nearly able to open while locked. I asked for a different room and was told I couldn’t change rooms. I asked to speak to a manager and there wasn’t one on duty at 9am?! I canceled the remainder of my reservation I was so disgusted. Do better Hilton.

Had to call to front desk multiple times because of a clogged toilet. After talking to someone about it two different times I finally go talk to a manager about the situation and then it was fixed. That was after 24 hrs of having a clogged poop filled toilet that we could smell throughout the room and no longer use. The issue should’ve been resolved much sooner!

The good: The rooms and sheets were clean. The bed was comfy and the AC worked well in the room. The no so good: Booked a king bed room but was given 2 queen. Not a big deal but I wish they would’ve said something when we checked in. They text you asking how your stay is and I texted back feedback but didn’t get any response so I don’t see what the point of that is. The front desk never answers the phone. Since the property is so spread out, you have to drive to the front desk from your room. Water pressure in the shower was a pathetic trickle. They don’t tell you that it’s an extra $10 per day to park on the property. I don’t think I’d stay here again.
