Our check in was at 4pm, we had to wait 15 till the room was ready. The room its self was awesome, view was amazing. But if your going to charge $250 a night, the bed was pretty hard and biggest complaint is how rough the pillow cases were. It was literally like sleeping with sandpaper on your face. But breakfast was incredible. Valet parking was expensive after paying $250. Another $32 for parking was unnecessary, especially cause you cant just park it yourself.

We’ve never had a more excellent or fun check in as we had with Johnny from Jamaica! He actually allowed our 10 year old grandson to come behind the counter and help check us in. He guided him through the computer process and making our room keys! He even threw in a couple of “Comps”!! Way to go, Johnny!!

Property was ok. Certainly high priced for what you got. But market for area I guess. Higher than San Francisco and Honolulu. But good enough. River view, while supposed to be pleasing, gave a wonderful view of the homeless encampments. C’mon Sacto. Get your act together. Business destination or rip off.

Front desk and valet were 150%. Breakfast was like a school lunch. Traffic flow was terrible three buffet. Staff were like zombies. Need to replace with people who wany to work. While people sat there waiting for a table to be cleared so they could sit down and eat, there were staff farting around reloading silverware as slowly as they could. Omlete guy was slow as molasses. It was busy sunday as your hotel didnt put on additional staff to meet the demand and dthose that were there need replacing. Wont stay at that embassy suites again

Hotel was very nice. I requested a view of the riverfront and our view was beautiful. Complimentary breakfast was delicious and staff very friendly and helpful!

great location near downtown, nice river view good breakfast,

Orbitz failed to make my reservation at the Hotel even though I had paid for the room. The staff were great at making sure I had everything we needed.

Nice location next to the Sacramento River and across the street from Old Sacramento, plus a short walk to downtown Sacramento, Crocker Museum, the Capitol, etc. The building is new and modern. Well kept up. The hotel is unusual in that all rooms on all floors (as best as I can tell) open to a huge atrium with chairs and tables where people can hang out, eat, etc. When we were there, there were a good number of families and kids in the atrium, and the noise of people was easily heard in our 2nd floor room. If you want quiet, then this might not be the best place for you. You can pay extra ($20) for buffet breakfast, which includes, if desired, made-to-order omelets (tasty!) with many available ingredients. The eating area (tables immediately inside the restaurant area, plus the tables in the atrium) needed to be bussed more frequently.

Very central to our destination of the Golden One arena...4 block walk...quiet property...great breakfast and evening nosh and beverage. My third stay at this property and it won’t be my last. Good value for the amenities... 3 night stay and very pleasant.

The rooms on the freeeway side facing downtown are too loud because of the ongoing traffic.

Great location downtown, staff was very friendly, breakfast was SO good!

We arrived on Friday. Nice welcome. Everything was ok including the room. On Saturday we left to Chico to visit our son at the university. Its almost 4 hour drive back and forth. Tired and wanted to rest before dinner. When we get back around 5pm, our room door would not open. After couple of visits to the front desk and than waiting for the engineer to show up, it was the door lock not the keys. The engineer was very attentive and customer oriented. Apologized several times and assured us that he will ask the management to give discount due to the trouble. Any way, we stayed out for over an hour until the door lock was fixed. Forget the discount, the management did not even have the courtesy to apologize. We were not expecting any discount nor we were going to accept any discount as we believe things happen especially when its nobody's fault and not done intentionally. We are also in the hospitality business and believe that a sincere apology at the appropriate time goes way far more than anything else in most cases.

Great location. Great staff. Room was clean. Spacious.
