The hotel was very poorly insulated. You can hear your neighbors and people coming from down the hall as if there was no door or walls. When we informed the front desk of our concerns they were not accommodating at all. I will definitely never stay at this hotel again.

Excellent and strategic location to walk around traditional Sacramento and feel its social pulse.

This hotel is right across the street from the Capitol. All major Capitol-related venues are within walking distance. The staff of the hotel are very, very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are spacious, modern, well-appointed, clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone with business in the Capitol.

Great place to stay in Sacramento! Very clean and the staff if friendly and accommodating!

This particular Hyatt is a disappointment. Room was not very clean, meaning they only surface clean. Move a piece of furniture and welcome a year or more of dust. Two of four elevators were out of service my entire stay with absolutely no explanation or warning by staff. Often, guests waited 30 minutes in line for the elevator, reminded me of TSA. Breakfast bar is very basic, boring and just not very good.

I'd highly recommend the Hotel, but not the City of Sacramento(Downtown). The Hotel had fine Dining, spacious parking,a fine Staff,Valet parking available, easy to locate, wonderful views(The view of the Capitol building was impressive...Right across the Street!Has a nice Park there, too). The Restaurants we visited were nice(Vietnamese,Seafood-Sandwich Shops),although the hours were limited. The entire Downtown area seems to revolve around the Capitol-Government Building(Which I imagine caters to a lions-share of the business in the area,in general)so you'll see a lot of Monday to Friday,9 to 5-type hours wherever you go(Pretty dead on the Weekends). All the other buildings are for sale, boarded up,or under construction.Kind of a "Ghost City" in the making.I didn't check out the Nightlife-after hours attractions in the area,so I was unaware of that aspect.Again, the Hotel was wonderful.Checkout was easy, because the Parking fee was charged to my card(They even slipped the receipt under the door for me!)so all I had to do was open the parking gate with my key,and drop the key into the checkout box nearby...That's it!Bathrooms were very nice, air conditioned rooms, beds were fluffy, nice Honor bar, room service was available, very clean,TV to watch, ice bucket/ice machine nearby(free),very quiet room, too! We stayed 2 nights, and got well rested!

fire alarm went off twice at around 1 am and 2am. No compensation even though we couldn't sleep after that

Booked this hotel mainly because of it's convenient location to the Sacramento Convention Center but also anticipated a solid four star stay. Was immediately disappointed by the valet staff's lack of attentiveness to our arrival. We arrived late-isa, 10:45pm and the lobby was not crowded but we had to wait for the bellman to come out with a cart for our bags. Check in was fine. The overall hotel decor is dated but nice. The room was disappointing from the moment the bellmen opened the door and could not figure out how to turn on the lights. Even after he left we were still struggling to find all the light switches. overall the room was exceptionally lo-tech and in disrepair, (broken cabinet door.) The bathroom door was awkward and the decor was plain. The wifi was dial up slow (unless you paid for a separate upgrade which I would expect from a Holiday Inn, but not from Hyatt Regency) The minibar was standard, unimpressive. Couldn't pre-order breakfast to arrive at a selected time so the morning schedule was inconvenient. Late night dinning menu was LITERALLY Starbucks. Overall, if I need to return to Sac I would try another hotel, probably the Sheraton as it is also very close to the convention center.

I enjoy staying at the Hyatt. I have stayed here several times, and particularly appreciate the spacious rooms and comfortable appointments. The hotel staff is unfailingly kind, gracious, welcoming, and go out of their way to make one feel welcome: from the janitorial staff to the front desk. I love the amenities in the bathroom: great (real!) hair dryer. Shelf for toiletries! Nice large shower that worked wonderfully. The towels are also great: large enough, work well: absorbent but not scratchy. I also love the robes provided. I would have given it 5 stars, except for 2 things. There were only 2 easily accessible electrical plugs near the desk, and another 2 near the TV. I would have liked plugs in the base of the bedside lamp (for my Kindle, phone, etc) as well. Also, the bed wasn't very comfortable. It was much softer than I prefer, and my back hurt a little on the second morning.

We had a really good time. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool was awesome.

Usually stay at the citizen and decided to try something new. Happy I did.

work, work, work a blessing to be at the hyatt and enjoy the peace of mind and friendly staff.

Really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend. Lots of restaurants, coffee shops, etc.. close by. Nice hotel, the room was great with a park view of the Capital. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel, staff and food were great as is the location. Free wi-fi was a nice thought but it was spotty at best. However, for $5 they provide enhanced wi-fi. Maybe that is better. Still I would stay there again.

Good stay, good location! Walking distance to the capitol, restaurants, nightlife

This is the best place to stay if you have kids and plan to visit the Capitol. Everything you need is at the hotel and the cost maybe a little more but worth the value. The complimentary breakfast was great and convenient. Dawson hamburgers was the best and was rated #1 in Sacramento. The easy walk to the Capitol and entertainment made it fun for kids and parents.

Just right for us. Right location. Right blend of amenities. Loved the pool. Loved the service and friendliness of the staff. WiFi not free though.

Came in for a quick weekend to spectate Tour of California bike race. Made reservation before knowing the first day went by right outside the front door. Hotel experience was mostly fabulous, with a couple of disappointing points. 1 - the fridge in the room is prestocked and has sensors. Which means there is absolutely no room for a guest to place their own items in the fridge. Bad form, especially when you are staying multiple days and can't find a vending machine anywhere on your floor for a cold soda. 2. - Lovely pool and patio area! We saw other people being served, but no one came and took our order. I went into the bar myself and ordered a beer on the menu (that I had gone in to retrieve myself). I was served a different beer. When I pointed it out was told they don't have the beer I ordered. What?? Front desk hugely helpful and friendly, would stay again.

The service was great, location was awesome and rooms were superb. The only negative was the wait checking in, I should have been able to get up to my room a little faster.

Nice. Really loud folks in hallways on a friday night. Room was really nice. Food was nice hotel food.
