I booked the hotel as the review for breakfast was "excellent'. If providing ONLY store bought items from like pre-packaged muffins, boiled eggs, pancake mix etc. is considered excellent we will need to come up with a new adjective for hotels that provide hot in premises cooked breakfast. The best part was that they did not even have ketchup !!!

I stay at Governors Inn routinely while my semi truck is receiving maintenance. This hotel is absolute delight and will remain my “go-to” for my stays in Sacramento. At first glance you may want to pass it up due the surrounding environment. However, I would suggest you do not as I know you will be pleasantly surprised. The staff is always very friendly and pleased to have you as a guest. Rooms are spacious and always exceptionally clean. Breakfast is fantastic. Major props to Jolene at the front desk who is about the nicest person you could meet.
