Closest way I’ll be staying in a Mansion! It’s a historical building (but not runned down). It’s a Hostel, so you do not get your own bathroom. They have a modern game room downstairs & plenty of space to sit & hang out if your not up to site seeing.

Very nice mansion used as a hostel. Currently under exterior renovation. There is gated parking. You won't be able to park here. There i NO option to "reserve" a spot in that lot on Orbitz/Expedia. You will be told to park at the meter off site - which i must admit is very close - in front of the building. But, Butt, Butt.... it is $375 per hour until 10pm 6 days a week and Sunday is not required. This is frustrating. Because when you factor this cost in the Holiday Inn 3 blocks down became reasonable in cost. And their lot is also gated (for good reason). The restrooms on the second floor for women are not very clean and there was only 1 toilet stall that opened and therefore only 1 toilet for all women on that floor. The room was clean and neat. In fact quite cheerful and comfortable. Breakfast was good enough, toast, english muffins and jam and unsalted butter (WHO EATS unsalted butter?????) and warm coffee and instant oatmeal. I will say it is in walking distance of the Golden 1 Center and convenient in that regard. But so is the Holiday Inn. If I had to be in the area again, it would be a coin flip as to whether I would stay here.

Bathroom floor a little iffy. Young scouts staying for long weekend still learning to clean up the sinks after washing dishes! Small homeless encampment across the way. Nonetheless I would/will return in a heart beat.

I wasn’t expecting the private rooms to still have to share a bathroom and shower. The bathroom could use a refresher because something there was not completely clean per the odor which persisted till morning. One of the two showers was not working either Otherwise the rest of the stay was pleasant

Great old mansion with lots of history. Easy walking distance to California Railroad Museum and Old Sacramento. Off street parking is a little extra, but secure. We will stay there again if we are in the area.

Large rooms, but warm throughout. Heavy blankets for the beds. Piano for playing in the parlor. Very relaxing to hear, comfortable couch.

excellent value...good company...nice building...friendly, helpful staff
