Good location, efficient valet parking with friendly and helpful attendants. Reception not particularly friendly but competent and quick. Check out was also quick. Restaurant was pricey so we did not go there. A good experience.

I was shocked at the hotel charging $10 a day to use the refrigerator! And $3 for a bottle of water is crazy. Very one knows those bottles cost 25 cents. No one likes to feel ripped off.

I adored this hotel. So convenient to many downtown Sacramento activities. I felt like I was walking into a Harry Potter adventure. Staff was super friendly. My bed was SO comfortable and my view was lovely. Great restaurant and bar and so much nicer than the giant hotel a few blocks away where my colleagues chose to stay. I will definitely stay here again and again!

The staff has been amazing over the past few weeks I've been coming into Sacramento from San Diego. I think the rooms are cool. I love all the political literature on the walls. I think the rooms were fairly small though. All is good though.

I will be coming to Sacramento for the next 10 weekends. I will be looking at coming to the hotel for each weekend.

I live in Dac but needed some time to relax so got a room here. Very polite staff, extremely clean, quiet room.

When entering the hotel regardless of time of day and we'd greeted with a swarm of mosquitoes. I was a hot weekend but still not the best welcoming for sure. The front desk was nice and service was fast. The valet was also nice. We required a crib for our stay and basically the house keeping came and dumped the box on the floor and handed me the sheets. I would have appreciated them offering to help setup considering my hands were full with the baby. The following morning we left and the room was to be cleaned, I know this is picky of me but the pillows weren't fluffed. If the bed is to be made and the comforter is perfectly crisp, shouldn't the pillows be fluffed. Overall I would not say it is the worst experience but also no where near the best.

The rooms were clean and spacious. Best bathroom I have seen in long time. The staff was very friendly. They checked in on me which made me felt special. The Grange Restaurant is super yummy! Beautiful old building but rooms are not small and dated! Loved it!

When I first checked out the bathroom I noticed the complimentary earplugs, it wasn't until the following night I understood why they were there. The hotel, at least up to the 8th floor, is very loud on Saturday nights. The partying lasted until midnight. I don't mind the noise so much but if I had smaller kids I would definitely want to be made aware and prepared....so here's your warning if you have kids, it's loud. Friday morning at 6:45 AM I called to place my breakfast order. After 3 unanswered calls to roomservice, I contacted the front desk and I'm told to leave a message for them and they will call back to take my order....that's a new one but I did what I was told. 20 something minutes later I get a call back only to find out that their pastries won't be ready until after 8...on a Friday morning. That's amateur and I told them at the time. Maybe there was someone new in charge because they knew exactly how many people were staying there the night before and to still not have any breakfast pastries ready at breakfast time on a Friday morning at the so called best hotel in Sacramento is complete garbage. Life went on, but still, I stay at nice places to be catered to and something so basic is unacceptable. Room service the rest of the time was flawless. Stay here, it's a nice place. Until they build a Ritz or Four Seasons, this place is the best option in town.

Wife went into the bathroom and saw a roach that was 3" long.

Room listing for 3 guests but only comfort for 2! Room are bit small..

Accommodations, amenities, and service are not in line with price.

The room was cozy, the bed was a good firmness, my robe was missing, but they did send one up upon request. We ate at the restaurant once for breakfast, it was very good, and the staff was friendly and professional.

Very personable staff. Great central location with a view of the capital.

We had a company Christmas party here. It was beautiful. The room was VERY small, and had no tub only a shower but it was clean and the bed was comfy.

Citizen Hotel is highly recommended. It is in close vicinity to nice restaurants and bars. They offer great service and the room are very comfortable.

Great hotel in a good location in downtown Sacramento. Close to bars & nice restaurants. Highly recommend.

Was very pleased with this hotel. It has an old feel to it but the furnishing are all modern and visually appealing. Loved the high ceiling and clean lines of the furnishings.

Whimsical unique political décor. Very comfortable. The staff was very accommodating.

This is an outstanding hotel. Handled all me needs excellently! Ken Mandler
