Unique in keeping the character to the ship

Best location, clean, friendly staffs, good restaurant.

Love the feel of this place. They have captured the uniqueness of this property and it allows you to transportation back to time. I great way to disconnect.

The bed was really soft, but seemed to be on an incline and the head end was a little lower than the foot end. Be ready to put up with all of the noise from the street until everything closes for the night.

nice hotel in historic, in old Sacramento. Close to restaurants and shopping. The boat has very good food. Coffee maker in room. Railroad museum is close to hotel.

The hotel is not good for business travelers. Rooms are tiny with barely any room to move, no desks or chairs and doorways that are not suitable for anyone 6' tall. If you are on vacation and looking for a quaint experience on an old riverboat, this may be your thing but it doesn't meet the needs of anyone traveling for business.

This is is a riverboat from the 1920’s it is very authentic and the rooms, bathrooms are too. All the modern comforts are here but you do realize quickly how small people and space use to be. The ambiance and charm are what this hotel are all about. The breakfast is enormous and very good that is included and the bar at night very nice. Nothing better then ending an evening with a glass of wine sitting out on the deck.

Don’t be too tall or too fat. Small areas. Fun place to stay

Needs a full cleaning! Could also use a major remodel. Great location and staff were nice and helpful.

this is a special place to stay at in old town Sacramento, lots of history about this boat. Serves breakfast and has a restaurant. Walking distance to may other restaurants and nice shops. Close to rail road museum.

How do I talk about this property ...? The good: It’s a unique experience. You’re staying on a boat! The restaurant staff is really great and breakfast was awesome! More than just scrambled eggs and old sausage. A really good breakfast. The bad: Check-in was .... odd. We were next in line behind a fairly well to do couple (or so they appeared based on clothing and their unique car that was headed for the car show across the street) the front desk agent was so pleasant. Smiling. Laughing. Then we got there. Not even a “welcome” just “Yes?” ..... Ummm .... ok. She made it through the motions with not a smile and handed us our keys. Having read reviews saying there was breakfast I had to ask for our vouchers which she begrudgingly handed over. Ignore reviews saying every room has a great view. The “city view” rooms look right at the back of structures on the deck. Not much of a “view” The rooms aren’t well insulated so you hear everything including the late night drunks playing with your door handles ... yes ... since the restaurant is public access and we were on the restaurant floor I was woken up twice by someone trying the handle of my door. That was truly scary. The electric outlet in the room was odd, my charger kept falling out so charging my phone was a challenge. Even the lamp plug fell out so we used the overhead light.

This is a real ship that was converted to a hotel. Friendly staff, great restaurant, and bar. Parking is tricky. We went past twice before realizing the only parking is a valet. Pull up in the front and they will come out for your car.

Unique experience staying on the river in Sacramento - comfortable with a good breakfast included!

The location is wonderful. The restaurant is very good, included breakfast delicious. The hotel is badly in need of a remodel, my guess for last update was probably 90s. My room was very small, to be expected on an reconverted riverboat. But my room was so dated, in need of paint & new furniture & furnishings, blinds were broken, very old tub/shower, & amenities were poor. The carpeting & bathroom floor were creepy. It’s so old it’s impossible to get it clean, or to appear clean. The old claw foot free-standing tub is hard to get in & out of, you have to step very high over it to get in or out & there’s nothing to hold on to. No room for your shower items, the shower is set away from the wall with a shower curtain 360 degrees, 1 small soap dish on a pole only. Air conditioning/heating doesn’t work very well & the fan is very loud. So is the toilet. There was no way to rooms on the upper floors except an outside very small, steep staircase. This is no place for older people or people with disabilities unless they have specified rooms somewhere on the boat to accommodate them. The location is so great, it’s really a shame that it has been let to deteriorate. I would not stay there again unless they remodel.
