Excellent privacy, breakfast was convenient—can grab a quick coffee and bagel on the way out.

The location is very central for exploring downtown. The location, however, did not justify the price. Spotty WiFi, nonfunctional tv remote, and indifferent, unhelpful, verging on rude staff didn’t help matters.

Liked architecture and location - easy walking (< 1 mile) to many restaurants and attractions. Polite, helpful staff. One of the towels was oddly stained but overall the room and hotel were clean. Only real downsides were a bed that transferred a lot of motion and a lot of city noise that came through at night. Nevertheless, I enjoyed my stay.

This was definitely one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. It was unique and very comfortable.

+ Beautiful and great location, comfortable bedding and inviting décor - Young girl at reception was unprofessional not friendly - Jacuzzi tub was dirty upon arrival - Housekeeping did not service room 1 day - Asthma reaction to fragrance plug-ins - paid daily parking around the block with no in/out - margarine at breakfast

My parents had a great night. Staff was friendly. They granted them in early check-in which was very helpful for me. Would stay again.

Booked it last minute since the hotel we were at was awful. Luckily, we got the last room. I was looking for something kinda central. Checking in was great, hotel staff was super friendly and informative. Hotel was quaint, kinda quirky if you will. Very old school seeming. Don't let outward appearances fool you, the inside is more updated than it would appear. No fridge or ice machines in or near the rooms. If you'd like ice, the front desk can bring it to you tho. I thought that was a sweet touch, although I didn't wanna keep pestering the front desk. Main downside is no onsite parking, which isn't too bad since there's a structure right around the corner less than a block... but they do not validate, discount, or reimburse. Structure was 15.00 all day with no in and outs. Given the price was close to the other higher end hotels that have parking, I think I would've chosen the other if given the choice again. Staff was great tho. They gave suggestions and were very helpful.

Great stay. Our original room was to be next to the reception room where a wedding was taking place. The desk clerk, Kurt, moved us to a room away from the reception. He was also full of information of the local area. I will be staying here again next time I'm in Sacramento.

The pillows were old and uncomfortable but the overall style of the room was very classy and nice. Breakfast could have been a lil better also. Overall it was nice, no time to enjoy the spa tub tho:(

I felt like I was staying at home. I would come back and stay again.

Always like to see a place with history. Love the uniqueness of each room. Bathroom was huge with a jet tub! Woke up to the sunlight shining thru stained glass windows. A must if you want the charm of old downtown Sacramento.

The hotel itself was an interesting old victorian mansion. that was sort of cool to sleep in, but some parts were not really clean and in disrepair. The ceiling in our room was falling apart and had an amaturish patch done to it. After 1030pm there is nobody at the front desk and the breakfast was supposed to start at 700am, but the person didn't show up till about 720. Went f or a walk in the morning and there were bums sleeping on the sidewalk. Expected a little more for $200 a night.

My girlfriend and I stayed in 1 of the hotels junior suites. We chose this room because it had a double sized jacuzzi tub. The tub was horrible!!! First of all there wasnt enough hot water to fill it even half way. The 4 of the 8 jets popped off even before we turned the jets on and were floating around the tub. When my girlfriend went down to complain they sent someone up to our room to pop the jets back in but they just kept coming off. The pictures on the website make the hotel look dreamy however it was a dump! Definately not worth the money! Also for breakfast all they had was cold or hot cereal They didnt even offer fresh fruit. We were highly dissatisfied with our stay and will never stay there again. NOT WORTH THE $.....stay at an embassy suites or best western youll enjoy your stay!

This quaint hotel was a great local getaway. The staff was amazing and extremely helpful. The mansion offered a unique experience for the ultimate couples night out. I would highly recommend this hotel and plan on returning soon!

Nice clean rooms with spacious tub and shower. Charming older Hotel with all the amenities and a great location within walking distance of restaurants and bars. I would stay again.
