Very clean, new and easy to navigate. Minimal noise from outside despite being next to the highway. I really appreciated how gracious the gentleman manning the breakfast area was; he kept it very clean and even helped me carry my items to the table. Young man at the front desk was helpful in suggesting places to grab a quick inexpensive dinner nearby. Thank you for using unscented laundry products, and for keeping a minimalist aesthetic. Just a few tips: 1) Please provide an opaque cover for the thermostat in the room. It shines too brightly at night. 2) Adjust the door closers so they don't slam. Each slam rattles the whole floor. 3) Put a sign in the bathroom and on the beds suggesting guests re-use their towels and sheets for the duration of their stay, to save water, electricity and gas.

Convenient location near the freeway. Entrance to the facility is fine. However, if you wish to return to the freeway, the exit is more complicated especially if there is traffic.

Newer property and our room was spacious. It had loads of plug ins for our devices. The beds were very comfortable. The room and hotel appeared to be very clean. Front desk staff was terrific. The sliding door for the bathroom was large, heavy and the inside handle was off its fixture so not easy to slide open once closed. Easy access to Hwy 50, but not really an easy walk to CSUS for some. It’s about 2 miles. We had a “view” room, but the view was the back of Grocery Outlet and a BART station, not pretty. BART made sleep pretty challenging. Complimentary breakfast offered lots of choices.

Visiting Sac State
We stayed here while checking out Sacramento State. We got an accessible room - did not ask for it. Huge! We were on the top floor right by the elevator and it was so quiet. Our room was super clean and there’s a lot of parking, which is apparently not always free (ours was, but we are HH members.) Breakfast was great - nice selection. There is a homeless encampment right across the train tracks (the hotel is by the tracks but the trains actually never bothered us.) and there’s a Target nearby if you need anything. We would stay here again. Pretty close to campus, too.

The staff was so welcoming! After just coming from a disgustingly dirty hotel to this one, we were very pleased! The room did not have a microwave, but we called the front desk and they brought one right up! Would definitely stay here again!

Looking out of window was a view of unfortunate homeless encampment. Did not feel safe walking around at night. The actual hotel itself was excellent. Large and clean rooms however I was not a fan of the barn style rolling doors for the bathroom....did not give enough privacy! ! The gentleman who ran the morning breakfast was a joy to see each morning....friendly and accommodating. One thing that I was not aware of when we booked our room was that a large number of college athletes would be staying there. Each morning and evening it was difficult to find any seating in the lobby to have breakfast or just to lounge. Would I stay here again???.....well the actual facility is excellent along with the morning breakfast, but the location and the large number of student athletes at the Hampton and the adjacent Home 2 made it difficult. I would probably not stay at this Hampton.
