This was our second visit to San Juan Puerto Rico and the Intercontinental Hotel. The staff is super friendly and so helpful, the rooms are spacious and clean. We have already booked to go back again in September!

This is our 2nd stay and we loved it. The pool is great, the hotel clean and the staff incredible. We had a fantastic experience at the spa and enjoyed all the restaurant meals. We would go back again and recommend it highly

Best things hotel is on the beach! Fortunately the strikers at the hotel 2 doors down had settled down so not a big disruption. Great local food no need to eat onsite we stayed a week with 2 kids and dining out was delicious and budget friendly. Convenient Avis onsite to rent a car to drive to the beautiful rainforest. Good staff no issues.

The staff are very friendly and great. The food is way overpriced. The beach and the pool are very nice.

Terrific hotel and location. Staff are wonderful. High fee per night at end (hotel or govt fee?) Be aware. Only other gripe. When doors shut in hallways, it woke me up. Overall, gorg place, great food and great time.

Checked in for 3 days. Called the day before to confirm a fridge in the room and ask some general questions. When we arrived Sunday we were told there were protesters next door at the El San Juan and there may some 'slight' noise. Slight was an understatement. The noise was unbearable. The protesters were out from 7am - 930pm shouting with horns, non stop sirens, and music both in the front and back of the hotel. Since the beach is public the police didn't have a right to stop them. The Intercontinental was told on Saturday that the protests would last a week but PURPOSELY failed to inform guests. Had they told us when we called the day before our arrival that we would be unable to enjoy the beach we could/would have changed our plans. The staff was rude, nasty and dismissive. We were shuffled from front desk 'manager' to 'on duty manager' and spoke to a dozen staff incl US offices,They all claimed there was no General Manager. We found out later there was one but he is not on the property. They said there would be no refunds and they were not responsible. Many guests spent hours trying to get the resort fees waived and many checked out. We had a package so we could not make changes. This Intercontinental was dirty and run down. The plastic shower curtain was full of mildew, door to the balcony did not lock, bathrobes did not have belts and only one pair of slippers was provided. The misc bathroom items were not replenished and there was only 1 chair.

I love this hotel. Friendly staff. Great pool and beach. We treated ourselves to a room upgrade to a club room and it was so worth it. Private patio connected to the pool area and a private club room. Excellent.

I had a beautiful time even though I came alone. I enjoyed the scenery, my room and most of all, the drinks. The people were very friendly. I look forward to returning.

When I had to leave the hotel due to overwhelmingly noisy union protests at a neighboring hotel that had moved to the beach, the management and staff were so helpful and sympathetic.

It was our very first time going to Puerto Rico and We definitely enjoyed ourselves and we'll be back again

To get a water view room, I had to pay $200 extra to join a club. the balcony on my room was only a lookout balcony and was so small there were no chairs to enjoy the view I paid extra for. Staff was excellent and friendly. On the whole it was a 5.

Resort fees bad coffee and inside restaurants are way overpriced on the drinks especially. Otherwise the place is really nice and the staff is excellent

Our Room by the elevator had thin walls which amplified hallway and neighbor sounds. Construction on neighboring hotel started early in the morning and continued throughoug the day. Check in involved surprise charges -including a charity donation charged to our bill that we weren't informed of in advance. This hotel isn't what it used to be. The ambiance and customer service has changed. I won't be back.

The intercontinental hotel is amazing. The location is ideal, most major tourist attractions are 10 to 15 minutes away. Hotel staff were very friendly & welcoming. The views are amazing. I would definitely stay here again during my next trip to PR!

The lobby is nice the people are nice and attentive however the rooms need some serious updating the bathrooms are too small and the furniture is old The handle on the dresser fell off when I try to open it

We came here on military assignment to PR This hotel is not a military friendly hotel mother is a kids friendly hotel. If you come spend some time with no kids and for a short stay then tel he hotel is perfect. Is a nice hotel definitely not more than a 3 stars.

My family and I had an amazing time, the staff was on point, one of the best I've seen. We needed a crib for our son and as I'm still on the phone they brought one up. Hotel is right on the beach so we went back and forth to the pool with a nice restaurant dividing both.

Hotel property and beach were beautiful and all employees were so nice and helpful. Carmen at the towel hut was a ray of sunshine with her beautiful smile and greetings every morning!! JuanCarlos was the hardest working guy and very helpful... Only downside were the in house restaurants - breakfast buffet price per person was too high, you can go to local restaurants and have a nice breakfast for much less, Ruths Chris Steakhouse not the same quality as the ones in the States, Italian restaurant food just OK... Best food was at beach bar, although pricey, it was very good. All in all, we had a great week at the resort and would return for another visit.

This was a honeymoon stay. I actually called a few days ahead to set up a little something for my wife. They sent a bottle of champagne and rose pedals to the room. This was awesome! Great views from the room, friendly staff, clean hotel, good food and drinks! Like everywhere you go you always have a negative. Unfortunately the whole island had a power outage. Thankfully our hotel had 3 generators so we were OK but we couldn't explore outside of the hotel. Oh and 1 day out of the 5 we stayed, we got a little annoyed with so many kids running around the pool area so our relaxing time got cut off short lol. Other than that I will definitely be back!
