I was disappointed with the accommodations. The room had mold in it and the A/C was barely functioning. They try to charge you just for touching the mini -bar fridge ( no room to store your own stuff in the fridge) There was a charge on my bill just because I opened the refrigerator door. I had to dispute it. In addition, you had to pay $10 umbrellas on the beach. I hate that. There is also an additional resort fee averaging $25/day. This is also infuriating.

The staff, hotel and location are awesome. We will stay again.

Hotel staff very friendly. Hotel on a beautiful beach.

The room was nice. The hotel front desk maritza was very rude. Not helpful whatsoever. She needs to find another job that allows her to give customers attitude. Gulianna on the other hand was really nice. The Hotel needs to hire more of her and less or maritza or mariza. She made the overall experience horrible.

We have a great time. Only tiny detail I would like to include is that chairs in the beach are free however not the umbrellas and it costs usd 10.- per day, so if they include the chairs in your stay I believe one umbrella would also be great. For the rest I can't say anything as all was great!

Just got back from a quick getaway and it was wonderful. Had a great stay the check in process was quick and simple and even though it was way before check in time they had a room ready for us. Can't say enough about the ocean view from our room - simply amazing. The beach was great not rocky or filled with seaweed. Bathroom was a little small and under whelming for the money I would have expected a jacuzzi but all in all room was very nice and the bed was very comfy. My biggest problem with this hotel is the inflated prices on just about everything. You sort of expect that when in a tourist area but seems like they just try to get you where ever possible. $5 for bottle of water is insane. But there are plenty of stores around and we were able to grab water and snacks to bring back to the room. Pool was very nice and wifi worked well; we didn't use many of the other amenities. The location is prime we were able to rent a car and explore the island easily. Lots of great local eating I would suggest venturing out of the tourist area and find some hidden gems. Issue I'm having now is with hotel security I left my wallet in the hotel safe and I've called several times and keep getting the run around about someone going to check if it's in there. Not expecting much on the return so played it safe and canceled all credit cards.

Visited this past week. The amenities were great, the room was comfortable, and the staff who cleaned and who took care of the pool and beach were lovely. The higher up staff however, was completely rude and disrespectful. First incident was the second day in. We left early to sight see, and when we came back around noon no one had cleaned our room. No big deal, so we call the front desk just to let them know before we headed out to the beach. They say they'll have someone come up to clean the room. We waited about an hour for someone to come before they called us back saying we had the do not disturb sign on our door all day and that they had just checked and it was still there. We told them that couldn't be true as I had the sign in the vanity in the room all day. They just reiterated what they said before, pretty much calling us liars before saying they'd send someone up to check again. Thirty minutes later, staff finally came to clean. Second incident happened at checkout. We were inquiring about a resort fee and pointed it how it differed from the explanation given on orbitz. The front desk attended politely said she'd get us a card to contact corporate about it and yet came back with a manager. Her attitude was disgusting before she even spoke with us and she attempted to withhold the contact card from us. We explained our situation to her and she said it wasn't their fault and kept cutting us off telling us we would have to speak to Orbitz and didn't need their info.

Check in was fast and smooth. For the price I paid- I expected a more updated room. The decor was very old, but the room was always clean. I was looking forward to their Italian restaurant for dinner- when I then learned was closed while they are updating their menu. The hotel itself doesn't have many breakfast, lunch and dinner restaurants (inside the hotel) so I ate at other hotels or in Old San Juan. Do not advise breakfast here. $22 per person for the same eggs and potatoes everyday. I walked to Denny's every morning and it cost me $10 for everything I wanted. Pool and actual resort are beautiful ($10 charge for umbrella on the beach). The food was good when I did eat here. Just be ready to spend a decent amount of money out of pocket.

Great hotel choice. I just didn't like the hidden resort fee that was due per day. 18% of room rate. I would of liked for it to already be included with my package rate and not the surprised charge.

Intercontinental was a great place to stay. It's a good location -- restaurants within walking distance along with a CVS and Walgreens close by. Everyone was very helpful and nice. I took my kids on this trip and we felt very safe. The pool was great, and kid-friendly. I would highly recommended this resort to anyone. The beach is beautiful. There was wait staff out there as well, so we were able to just lounge under an umbrella with plenty of drinks and food when we needed it.

Excellent hotel and the stafff was fantastic. This hotel is in a great location. Very close to airport and about 15 min from Old San Juan. About 30 minutes from rainforest.

Lobby staff very helpful but cleaning staff was another story. 4 people in the room and they bring 2 bath towels that's it just 2 towels. Housekeeping was still on the floor but had to call desk to get someone else to bring towels. Housekeeping after day one never kept coffee supplies filled. One day no coffee next day no creamer or sugar, went like this our entire 5 day stay. Again great lobby staff and a family friendly hotel.

Not too clean like I expected, rating 3.5 star hotel, overpriced, stuff friendly.

We were upgraded for our anniversary which was nice to an ocean view room which was beautiful. We never ate or drank at the hotel. I purchased liquor from CVS which was a half block away and ate food across the street or out while touring. That way I was able to eat local food and drink freely. I did purchase one drink at the pool it came to $13. Also, not a fan of the towel system they put rfid trackers in them.

I really enjoyed the hotel scenery so I didn't always feel like I had to leave the hotel to enjoy the tropical location. It was also things to such as pool table, ping pong table, and nice amenities.

Es nuestra 3 vez en ese hotel, todo excelente. Solo una queja muy poco personal para el lobby , la espera es demasiado larga para hacer el check in y check out.

WENT TO SAN JUAN FOR MY 28th BIRTHDAY AND I MUST SAY THE INTERCONTINENTAL HOTEL WAS A VERY GOOD CHOICE TO STAY AT. THE HOTEL STAFF WERE VERY Friendly, POOL IS 24hrs. THE OCEAN IS RIGHT BEHIND THE HOTEL I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT. WILL DEFINITELY BE REVISITING SOON!!!

My husband and I have stayed here before and each time things are slightly different. The hotel is acurately rated as a 4 not 5 star hotel. It has a nice pool and beautiful beach front which is what we love. Rooms are clean n comfortable. Dining is pricey however at the main restaurant for breakfast n dinner buffets that are just "ok". We dont mind it tho n keep coming back but the buffets certainly lack options/variety. Sodas are of course pricey at the buffet ($4 bucks) so even wo alcohol our dinner buffet w tip is over $160. Staff is always accomodating throughout. Highly suggest this hotel for the price.

My experience was amazing, from bar in the pool to its amazing views, staff opens door for you, literally on the beach. Hands down the best pool on the strip of hotels on the beach. The only thing was the breakfast buffet was a little pricey and parking is not attached to the hotel and there's an additional fee. Lastly, I paid extra for the ocean view and although it was an amazing room with an incredible view the bath tub was a basic tub which barely fit me in hahaha.i would def recommend this hotel.

The facilities inside of the hotel are pretty old. I lost a bag of clothes inside of my hotel room, and I didn't know how did that happened. Reported to the securities with no results.
