Had an excellent stay. Great staff. Excellent customer service... Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for tranquility and view. The art pieces made it even more attractive and the room was so unique.

My wife and I stayed here recently for 5 nights....the room decor and (cable ) was a little dated and could use a little modern uplifting but the room was very CLEAN and SPACIOUS....we loved how the hotel was designed in black and white, the art decor was so cool and interesting and the pool and grounds were beautiful and clean.....the staff members were very warm from servicing breakfast to keeping out room clean daily....there was free breakfast which was cool (as Jamaican myself portions could have been a bit bigger lol) but the food was ok....the parking lot and pool could use some repaving as well....if management gave a little TLC to these small cosmetic issues this place could be OUTSTANDING....other than that we recommend people give this place a chance we really enjoyed our stay here it was such a beautiful place and the staff was welcoming and accommodating....we definitely plan to stay here again and bring friends next time....(A real Gem)....

We had such an awesome time here. The staff was accommodating, the grounds are beautiful and the rooms are gorgeous!! There is always someone at the front gate so we never felt unsafe. Fred, one of the staff members, was so nice. Je made sure he spoke to us everytime he saw us and made sure we had everything we needed. The hotel is tucked away and quiet. It is FILLED with unique and interesting art ALL OVER THE PLACE! The Jamaica-shaped pool is one of the coolest things I've ever seen. It is very close to local attractions, including downtown and you can catch a cab right outside. The filet mignon in the restaurant is absolutely delicious. Also, try the ranch dressing on the salad (you can thank me later!). The complimentary breakfast always had way too much food. Overall, this hotel made an awesome trip to Jamaica EVEN BETTER!!

Its like stepping into a film set the grounds are amazing and the views breath taking. The staff are cheerful friendly and helpful. The rooms maybe need a little update but the overall ambience is fantastic.

My wife and I work(i'm a chef and she is front desk manager) in the hotel industry for the largest company in the world and enjoy providing service to all levels of guests from ultra VIPs to families to business types. We tend to be more critical of service than tangibles and amenities. The Hotel is old and needs upgrades...the driveway needs repaving. The room we were given was a bit small and the AC was old and the knobs didn't work. The food was more american than island style. This is a spot the hotel can adjust better. Which I am willing to assist in (Fred, if you are reading this, you have my card) I did notice some renovations being done while we were here so it seems that things are being addressed. The decor I found uniquely fun with artworks and live birds displayed around the property. The views was calm and serene. We decided to see a more spacious room. But had noticed this room had a newer AC unit but no fridge or phone. These rooms did not look the same as advertised on the site or Instagram. The TV had limited channels, to be honest, you dont go to Jamaica to watch TV. My wife was not pleased. We decided on the 1st room offered after seeing 3. The bed is firm, not fluffy soft. The bath towels were great!! Luxury size and plush. Now, even with all these unsatisfactory events, here is why i will rate a 4 out of 5. Service. With every displeased encounter we were met with a smile and options. Not once did I feel we were in the wrong. The response time was quick. Later the Hotel Manager Fred came by and let us know we were given a late check out and to contact him personally for future visits. This has made our stay personable which is what my wife and I do to our guests at work. I am sure it gives him pleasure as it does us. Overall, this place is a work in progress but its staff is top notch. We will look to stop by here again to see the progress and hope this review is somewhat helpful. "In order to adjust a problem, it must be first addressed."Thank you Fred for your hopitality and look forward to seeing you soon.

the hotel is situated in a great location being 5 minutes from French Man's Cove and Blue Lagoon. The grounds are beautiful, the local fauna was entertaining, with frogs, fish and tropical birds including a beautiful parrot. The pool is great and the views are beautiful. This would be a great place for a big event due to the atmosphere around the place. There are paintings in every wall inside and outside giving it a different feeling. The hotel staff were very friendly and the head of the hotel made every effort to make us feel welcome and comfortable.

Visited Jamaica Palace in Febuary, was one of the most amazing trips taken in a while. Dinner was excellent! The management and staff was Amazing! Especially Freddie😃😃(amazing customer service). The rooms were well kept and clean, the design, the natural beauty of the well kept lawn (beautiful flowers). I would recommend anyone visiting Port Antonio to make Jamaica Palace apart of your experience😄😄. ONE LOVE..

Stayed at this hotel and I can honestly say that it was the worst place I've ever stayed in. It was infested with cockroaches and the soap in the bathroom was half eaten by rats or insects. No bath towels or toilet paper were provided. The receptionist couldn't be bothered to inform us of the free wifi or of breakfast times or show us where the dining room was located. Complaints were not taken seriously and so was ignored by the receptionist as well as the manager Freddie. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

After many trips to Port Antonio, my husband and I finally decided to stay at The Jamaica Palace. The location is perfect for us, the place looks magnificent on the outside, and the price is right, so we stayed 2 nights. Driving in, they have tight security, which is good. They have ample parking but the lot could use some work. The lobby truly is magnificent and the front desk staff were very nice and professional. Looking around, the dining room and bar looked very nice, and they have a wonderful outside seating area, so we were hopeful that the bad reviews weren’t true. But the rooms are really in bad shape and need some renovations; or just redecorating at the very least. (See photos). The furniture is ancient and everything is strangely low to the floor. They wrap some of the end tables with a fabric that looks to be about 100 years old. The A/C and TV weren’t working properly, and the bathroom door wouldn’t shut properly. We stayed in a standard room but asked to see all of them, and they were all bad, even the Presidential Suite. But even so, I slept well in their circular bed, and we had good hot water in the shower. I really enjoyed their free breakfast, and the server couldn’t have been nicer. (All of the staff are extremely nice.) But we had dinner there one night and it was very, very bad. The grounds are gorgeous and the Jamaica-shaped swimming pool on the second floor were very nice, although it could use some work too. The Palace has its positives and negatives but, all in all, I would stay there again. They have an all-inclusive rate which includes 3 meals a day, but I wouldn’t recommend it because only the breakfast is decent. The management really needs to put a little love and money into the place, and it could truly be a wonderful Palace to stay at.

I have been to Jamaica Palace on 3 occasions, I absolutely enjoyed my time there. The rooms are spacious and clean, the staff is pleasant and helpful. The food is always delicious and the grounds well kept. While the rooms are a little dated, it is still a gem. Kudos to Freddy, he's an awesome manager.
