Staff is excellent and property is clean. Too many locals stay here and make too much noise. They pay far less than the rest of us, and bring their loud, noisy kids here. Food at buffet is limited and property is showing its age. Not worth paying more than$150/night.

Overall good resort, however we didn’t have shampoo and conditioner in our room, we only had 3 towels even tho reservation said 4 people. Never got our umbrella, rained every afternoon. Food was ok. Nothing great. Like I said, we enjoyed our stay but there is a lot of room for improvement

The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was clean and if you needed anything they got it for you. They only had 2 restrooms to use when outside and using the pool, they weren't close to pool area it wasn't convenient for guests to use when swimming.

Stayed for a week for a 40th birthday and the service was excellent!! The staff were extremely great! The room was great, food/ drinks were excellent everyone was so friendly!! Can’t wait to visit again.

Love the entire property

Entertainment was lacking in comparison to prior years. Food quality/options were also lacking in comparison to prior years.

The beach

Property was nicely laid out. But with the covid-19 protocols, understandably, services slowed to accommodate such. Property could have more public bathroom along the beach steip, incase of emergency.

My riu visit was amazing . Everything was perfect , everyone was so friendly. I met the most dedicated worker named oshane cambell , he was generous kind hearted and he made our stay feel very comfortable in Jamaica . The riu is the best

We had no lighting to our room entrance, we had to use a flashlight to gain access to the key access. We reported the issue same day, they kept saying we will send someone.Never fix.

The beach is not great.

We absolutely loved everything about the property the people the amenities everything was excellent and we will be returning back very soon

Loved the entertainment staff - especially Tiny and Famous. Didn't like the beach. Worst Beach in Negril with clay bottom and weeds.

While I normally enjoy RIU properties, RIU Negril was clearly not ready to open on June 1, 2021. The weekend of our stay was packed (good for the resort and Jamaica’s economy) but the staff and amenities were unprepared. It was not welcoming at all upon check-in (as accustomed), bartenders were somewhat rude or seemingly not wanting to be bothered, the main pool with swimup bar was under repair and could not be used. However, the worst out of all of this was the restaurants. The buffet was the primary place of use and it was over-run with long waits and no real direction. The customer service was at an all time low with you constantly looking for servers to provide the basics such as water or drinks. My section, the server never re-filled a thing or took so long that we ended up leaving. I really blame management for this. These workers looked tired and beat, overworked and not enough staff. How is one expected to cook all of the French toast yet serve it at the same time because the other person is trying to keep eggs going? Hire more people and encourage them to want to provide great customer service. The restaurants were limited seating capacity and closing so early that it was a joke to put on nice clothes for dinner. Entertainment did their best at times, DJ was good but you can’t really party. The Sports Zone…why are you charging $2 USD for pool? And your 24 hour food options are disrespectful, please try again. The beaches are great as expected for beloved Jamaica!
