Snorkeling was fun saw a sea horse lots of small fish. The Dinner hour could go better when catering to weddings. All else went well. Nice well kept,

We returned from the hotel just yesterday. Everything was absolutely fantastic. The most important for us was calm sea and there were no waves at all, like a giant swimming pool.

The room was very nice just across the sidewalk from the beach. The staff was very nice. The food was the only bad part. Chicken was great on the beach. The steakhouse was good one night not so much the next. The other ala cart restaurant were just ok. Buffet was not very good.

We chose Negril as we were told that beaches were out of this world. We felt underwhelmed. It was ok, not very clean. Didnt feel like it was worth the money.

The hotel is nice and the staff are pleasant. It sits on a nice stretch of beach.

I didn't have a single bad experience here. Food was not amazing but not bad either. Staff was nice, rooms where ok. Nothing to complain about.

We requested two adjoining rooms and they only had rooms quite far apart. They ran out of washcloths twice. The hair dryer was broken. We had a long wait to check in and some of the food was mediocre. Three kayaks were broken. Some employees were accepting tips and I don't think they were supposed to and the evening entertainment needs a boost. However we still had a good time at the swim up bar and on the beach.

I had a wonderful time! Meeting new ppl from all over the world was great!! The beach was fun!

The hotel is beautiful the pools the beach was gorgeous. I was not happy with the service that was provided at the restaurant for the buffets. I was ignored by the wait staff they were servicing the people around me but ignoring me. And the staff looked unhappy. One morning my daughter asked the juice bar lady what kind of juice they had and the lady told her you don't speak English, on a rude voice, the juices were not labeled. I saw the other guess asking the same question and the lady didn't respond to them. On my first day there when I went to dinner the waiter saw me sitting down at the table and totally ignored me I had to go ask another waiter to give me drinks. It was my first day there and I didn't know what the process was and there was no one to greet me or explain anything to me.

Good service.Good food.Nice beech . I'm glad to be there again.Riu club house resort just after reconstruction, nice and clean.

I really loved it very beautiful place the food was lovely had a lovely time

THE RESORT WAS ABOUT TO UNDERGO MAJOR RENOVATION GUESTS WE'RE GIVEN PROPER NOTIFICATION OF CHANGING IN DINING, POOL, AND INTERNET WAS POOR QUALITY. CHARGE FOR USE AFTER 90 MINUTE.

Hotel was clean but the most of the staff were not customer service friendly. Especially the food and beverage supervisors and directors.

It's a nice hotel nice location! Lots of really good food diferent variety every day! However the beach wasn't wat I expected it had lots of seaweed and the pool were they have the bar inside was really duty you couldn't see under water with the googles it looked merky. Over all it's a nice place to relax.

Rooms are from the 1990s, there are few amenities (e.g., no room service, no pool or beachside service), and the staff was somewhat unhelpful (e.g., they failed to provide our requested wakeup call and were unapologetic about it, they were not helpful in recommending spots away from the resort). They allegedly are remodeling it this summer to update it.

We traveled to Jamaica and stood at the Riu Negril. The hotel was nice but we weren't too thrilled about the lack of beach chairs at the pool area. The air condition in the room didn't seem to cool off too well either. We slept in uncomfortable conditions. We understand its a family resort but there should be restrictions on children in the swim up bar area since there were two separate pools. The food at the a la carte restaurants fell short to impress, the food at the buffet was much better with more options.

Many of the staff have attitudes. The A/C wasn't the coldest. Only one room key that they give you in the entire hotel according to them! So if you misplace it! You're out of luck! Call the maintenance man. And food was ok. Hit or miss. They are trying , but lacking in many areas.

my stay at RIU was horrible the air conditioning didn't work. The room smell of mildew. Was not happy.

My boyfriend and I like to treat each other to a getaway for our birthdays. For his birthday this year we picked Jamaica since I had never been. This was his second trip to Jamaica, but first trip to Negril. I had previously stayed at a Riu in Los Cabos, Mexico and was so impressed that it only made sense to stay at a Riu again. The staff was just as pleasant and accommodating as the last Riu. They were happy to change our room to an available room with a better view at no extra cost. The beach was beautiful! With food being prepared and served daily right on the beach. You can do some decent snorkeling on the beach which was a plus for me, however a word of caution. .. do wear water shoes. Daily we witness multiple guest with foot injuries they sustained by stepping on some form of sea life. It did not appear that the hotel warns guest of this, which can be easily avoided. We only tried one of the restaurants, (Sir Andrews) on our second night and we're so disappointed that we stuck with the buffet (which was much better) and cancelled our other reservations. In all, the experience was good. The rooms need a few upgrades like better TV, more pillows, and key cards (you are only given one key with the room number written on a tag so if you lose it whoever finds it knows what room it belongs too). Room service or a 24hr food option was not available, not usual in other all inclusive hotels, but not a deal breaker.

The hotel was awesome as far as food and drinks. The cleaning service was not so great they did not provide extra towels after cleaning. Also, did not replenish toilet paper. Overall i would stay again and recommend to friends.
