Very good service at all times. Very friendly staff

Amazing staff but hotel needs upgrade. Hotel manger and entertainment staff were all great and wonderful. Food was very good. One of my favorite hotel but would like to see to major improvements to excite me to come back.

Over all our stay was great !! Check in was smooth, staff is very friendly... but when getting to our room ( 7101) we had no air conditioning and our toilet didn’t flush.. we had to make multiple calls for service and ask at the front desk for assistance. after several requests and 3 days later finally a maintenance staff came at 9:30 pm and replaced parts in the toilet ... and the air started working towards the end of our stay

Third time there they will be closing in august for updates. We plan on going back to check out the renovations.

Wonderful staff, like family. Awesome food! I have a limited diet and I loved all the choices. Location is perfect, absolutely beautiful beach. In someof the bigger resorts you have to walk a long way to the beach, not here, beach is accessible from everywhere! The pool looked a bit sketchy probably because of all the foam parties(?) Room was nice, bathroom a bit dated. This was our second visit in y years, we would def return. Just be ready for the w hour bus ride from MoBay. Scenic but kind of long if you are anxious to get to Negril!

The hotel was located right on a beautiful beach, everything was very close by the property did not feel very spread out. The food at this resort was the best we have had at an all-inclusive bar none. The buffets were amazing and the specialty restaurants were great however the menu did not change from night to night. The staff was very friendly and helpful although I would say there was the occasional local with an attitude working at the resort. One waiter at the steak house should consider a career change he was down right rude and being from the NYC area I got in face (in a nice way) and wished him a Merry Christmas and stuck my hand for him to shake after he had been visible rude (I was a waiter I know the business) and he unwilling obliged me. On occasion you would stand at the bar why the staff bullshitted amongst themselves while people waited for drinks. Most members of the staff were over the top friendly and would go out of their way to help you.

Very clean, decent fitness center, Beach is also decent where this hotel is.

We loved our trip to Riu Palace Tropical Bay! Beach was beautiful and much better than the surrounding hotels. Staff was very friendly and willing to accommodate for whatever you needed. The entertainment staff was on the resort all day and were great; we got to spend a lot of time with Extreme and he was amazing. It felt like there was always something to do but if I just wanted to relax, I could do that as well. The different restaurants and food were delicious and had many options! I appreciated being able to see them take the alcohol bottles of the bar and seeing them make my drink, as well as having the dispensers in the room (especially with the alcohol concerns in some Caribbean resorts). Would definitely come again.

Great food and staff! Beaches were spectacular! Convenience of the beach to the pool and rooms is awesome! You must try the jerk chicken hut!

Only 2 complaints, no top shelf booze , they advertise a few top shelf products but when u ask they say they don't have. The other is they close some restaurants without any advance notice also no reservations end up being a major problem to get in need to stand in an unorganized line that causes problems at least a 1/2 hour before opening. Otherwise good value

Vacation started off great. Front desk reception welcoming. However, the guest in room above me kept dragging and rolling objects on floor all night. Barking was also heard coming from the room. . I tolerated it for first 2 night. I made a complain to the management staff and my concerns were dismissed as possibly a ghost. I didn't pay money to stay in a hotel with ghost staff said they had security checked the room and informed me nothing was found in room and there was no dog in room. Strangely the day I made my complain the noise stopped.

We had a very nice vacation at this RIU. All the Staff members had provided excellent services. Cannot ask for anything more.

The hotel was a fairly nice hotel. Most of the staff was really nice, but you did encounter a few that was really rude. We only ever ate at the buffet which was a 3 out of 5, but I would NOT recommend the room service food. We tried it twice and we would score it 1 out of 5. All in all the hotel was a nice hotel and we had a pleasant experience. There are several things they can improve, like their food, their home made alcohol and clean up the pools (people were inside the pool all day drinking, but we never saw anyone leave the pool for a pee break. We never went in to the pools as the beach was amazing and the pools was nasty. But if you are drunk enough you will not care how dirty the pool is). As we mostly brought up the bad things in this review I can say that I would recommend this hotel to a friend, as we had a great time there, but there are probably much better hotels to choose from.

Resort needs updating and the pool is in bad shape. But the beach made up for it. The staff was great and always available to cater to our needs.

We were very disappointed with this resort. The rooms are very simple and not very clean: we had to switch rooms because the ceiling was leaking, actually pouring water. The first night we ate outside and the bugs were out of control. The steakhouse was our least favorite restaurant. The breakfast buffet had great fruit. The staff was friendly but NOT very accommodating. The front desk manager, Andrew tried but only had so much control. We called maintenance 3 times with a toilet blockage. We ordered room service one time and it never came. When we called back an hour later they said sorry but the order was placed during shift change and lost. The room service food was AWFUL! The grounds are simple and kept up, nothing special. The other restaurants had good food but again nothing special. We booked through Orbitz and were suppose to have $460 in resort credits, we were looking forward to a massage. Upon arrival we were told we could ONLY use it for a wedding or to rent a car. That was VERY disappointing and a false promotion. I would NOT recommend this place!

I was a single female traveler there to celebrate a family member 's birthday and the entrance to my room was in the back near the road. To make sure I was safe, I had to be walked to my room, especially at night. Plumbing was bad...the toilet never flushed after the 1st, 2nd, 3rd try...one side of the double vanity was clogged and very slow to drain. Poor reception on the tv...I received nothing but "snow". The housekeeper's cart was right outside my door...everyday...it never moved! Variety of food could have been better.

It was a great hotel staff was wonderful food was great entertainment was awesome

We celebrated our anniversary and had a wonderful time. Beautiful place, food was amazing! People were so friendly and outgoing. We will definitely be back!

This is my second stay here. It is fun, lively, and the beach and pool area are nice. A change has been made that really is horrible. No reservations at restaurants. The restaurant are decent but the problem is you cant make dinner reservations and it is a disaster. We stood in line for a hour at the steak restaurant and were third in line. Five minutes before the let us in the told us there was a wedding party of 40 and we could not come in. Management was called down but they did nothing. We advised the front desk and they told us a manager by the name of Christina would be there to talk to us, but she never showed or called us. All they had to do was tell us but no one did until a hour later. Waiting in line is a terrible waste of time and you dont know if you will make it in, they wont advise you. You need to be there a hour early and maybe you will make it in if not you might get the late seating which ends up being around 8:30...The buffet is not so great, pretty much the same food every lunch and dinner, same for breakfast. If definitely has gone down hill. I heard new management has taken over and it is not as good as last year when it came to the food.

Overall not a bad place but Need a new chefs and it's not a 4 and half stars hotel , the guys around kept u entertain and welcome u all the time and too many hostlers around the hotel
