Nice hotel, large open Lobby. Plenty of places to eat and plenty of activities. You can hang out at the party pool or relax at the adult pool. Pools are far apart. Property is huge. They have a large Beach with activities and a jerk hut. Only drawback is the 1 1/2hr shuttle from the airport

The staff tried to make my stay accommodating and friendly. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Hotel staff was very professional .Will highly recommend.

Food was ok, but my room had a mouldy smell. The a/c vents needed to be clean. Even though they say that the hotel is smoke free, I see guest smoking in their rooms and on the premises. I expected so much more from them. The rooms were not equipped with a coffee maker and my room didn't have an iron in it. Very disappointed. My mind is completed changed from all inclusive hotels now. I keep trying them but it only keeps on getting worst.

I have been to Jamaica 8 times in the past 3 years and and all my stays were excellent except this one, I thought riu was a good hotel until I actually stayed there, the rooms has a strong scent of mold, even when entering the restaurants you smell it so my guess is there’s mold in the a/c system, the beds sucked, the mattress were hard and uncomfortable, the pillows should be thrown out. I spend most of my time outside not because i wanted to but because i really didn’t want to go back to that horrible smelling room, even when i got back to New York i had to wash all my clothes even the ones I didn’t wear because they all smelled of mold. The next thing is the food selection, i went to Jamaica to experience local food, not the American food i eat everyday, the snack shop had pizza, fries and other junk the only place is the jerk hut which is only open from 12-3 where i could get good Jamaican cuisine, the restaurant has Jamaican food at dinner and breakfast but its just 1 or 2 choices not a wide selection. Overall my stay there was not pleasant, the staff was good but the amenities were awful, i stayed there from October 16-22 and i was on the phone trying to cancel from the first night and I couldn’t even get the manager, either he wasn’t there or i had to check back later. I’m never staying at RIU again.

I chose an all inclusive package and had the BEST time. I was highly impressed from the moment I reached the resort. Everyone was friendly and professional. There were restaurants to cater to your taste no matter what it is. Food was delicious and plentiful. There was entertainment every night, and plenty of nearby attractions if you want to venture beyond the resort. I plan to visit again in the near future.

My self and husband was at this hotel 2015 and returned back 8/6/2018 with 15 family members we had a wonderful time. excellent hotel Beautiful beach Nice pool Delicious food and cocktails. Would highly recommend to everyone family's kids couples. i give Riu Ocho Rios Five star. Will definitely be back to this hotel.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The food was excellent and the staff was very curteous.

I enjoyed all of the activities they had for the adults and the kids.

Enjoyed the stay. Only problem was with WiFi for couple of days. Good food. Very relaxing!

it was wonderful need flat screen tv they have old tv need to change it

I thought the hotel was fantastic and have done plenty of travelling across the globe. The staff was great at the front desk, the room housekeeping, and the restaurants. After reading some mediocre reviews about the food, I was very pleasantly surprised when I arrived. I thought the food at all of the restaurants was excellent--breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There were plenty of activities throughout the day and night.

I loved everything about it. So worth the spend. Used my room credit for the spa which was great as well

Great place to stay! Definitely will stay again. Don't forget to tip the staff. They deserve it!!

Everything was great! The staff had excellent customer service.

The hotel is beautiful and the staff was amazing. Huge shout out to Twugae at the front desk who must've made notes about it being a birthday get away for me and my two friends and she sent a lovely cake and note up to the room. Really was a nice touch and made it an awesome stay. Also Donnet at the pool bar is our girl, we don't know what she was mixing for us but we had a great time and she was dancing to our music from our beats speaker while pouring drinks. Made the pool bar so live just like her personality. Both of these woman as well as the rest of the staff showed exceptional service and you can tell they really care. Only downfall was that the food was mediocre and not enough options. Best meals were the jerk hut on the beach. Overall great stay and worth every penny. All 3 of us had an amazing birthday experience at the RIU and will return.

Had to change rooms twice but was upgraded The food at the buffets could have been better they stopped making food around 845 when the buffet was open until 930 so you could only eat whatever was left, food should be made up until 930 Entertainment was excellent

First I would like to start off that this was my 4th time visiting the RIU Resorts. It was so dissapointing. Upon arrival we noticed the hotel was being renovated and we were not notified. I know Orbitz usually advises their clients ahead of time of this, so I figured you should be aware. My boyfriend and I saved up all our money to go and celebrate our anniversary. We upgraded our room to have a tub indoor and a jacuzzi on the balcony. The tub in the room was not clean. The jacuzzi tub on the balcony was not even in any condition to be rented. Rusty and filthy. I asked the housekeepr the following morning if she can please clean the tub and jacuzzi and was told yes. None were done. There was a closet on the balcony, which I assumed might have cleaning products. Once I opened the door I was greated by a rodent the size of a cat. I immedialtely closed the door. This was all so dissapointing and the only reason we got this room and paid extra was for the jacuzzi and balcony. The hotel should not be renting out this room with the condition the jacuzzi was in. I have used your company many times in the past, and I know this is not the quality you give your clients. I wanted to be sure to bring this to your attention as the quality and service of the RIU Resorts are not the same. Hopefully on our next trip we get our moneys worth but if I can help anyone avoid wasitng their money I would. I wanted to give Orbitz the respect of contacting you direcetly and not blasting this online.

Need more food choices and however I really enjoyed myself n would stay there again

I went with a group of eight people and we had a wonderful time! You could tell that the hotel was a bit dated but it was pretty clean and well maintained. The wifi service is not great, you have to stay in the lobby to get any service unless you upgrade to get wifi in your room. This wasn't a huge deal because it was a nice excuse to disconnect from the world for a week. The entertainment crew was AMAZING!!!! There were performances each night and daily activities on the beach and at the pool. I enjoyed the food at the buffet, especially the breakfast selection. The other restaurants were kind of a pain to eat at because they only had two seating times so you had to go at those certain times to eat and stand in line. They had a delicious jerk hut, where they served jerk chicken and other meats. This was great for a snack or lunch when we didn't want to leave the beach to eat. Overall I would definitely recommend this resort if you are looking to have a great time, like to dance, and enjoy great entertainment! :)
