I am only reviewing dealing with the resort because we did not stay there due to the resort not willing to work with us to adjust our stay to arrive a day or two later because of a delay in receiving our COVID test result! In these difficult traveling times we were hoping they would work with us to try to adjust and accommodate. We lost everything due to insurance denying our claim. No stay no reimbursement no happy anniversary!
Didn’t like that no buffet at night

The infinity rooftop pool was amazing. The resort is just the right size.. i didn't feel like I ever had to play beach chair politics. One of the best Excellence resorts, even better than beloved. I loved the room with it's own pool. My only issue was one evening when it was clear they were short staffed at the French restaurant which was my favorite. I was not in a hurry and the food was still amazing but I could tell others were frustrated.
Of all the properties I've stayed at while in Jamaica, and there have been many, this one is at the top of my list. Everything was clean, staff was exceptional, always wearing a smile and offering a kind word. I was contacted often by the concierge office to ask how my stay was going and if I needed anything. The only negative I experienced was one day my drinks were not replenished. I made a phone call to the concierge office and had someone at my door with a drink cart in literally 3-5 minutes. The beach was nice and clean, food was great and drinks were even better. The guys that fix the drinks are so engaging, friendly and offer many laughs. I had an Ocean Front room (Building 5), asked for an upgrade but was told there were no rooms available in the Beach Houses, not to knock the place, but there were rooms available at the Beach House. Don't waste your time or money with S@ndals, I've done that several times and they are barely a Motel 6 compared to this gem. I WILL CERTAINLY BE BACK!!!
Some of the structures looked worn or has signs of weather damage. Didn’t like the dress codes for men in the majority of the restaurants.
The property was very well taken care of...a true 5 Star Resort. Food was amazing, staff was wonderful and service was really good! Only feedback was that room service took a bit longer than expected but overall was awesome!
Property was pretty nice overall, bar tenders and entertainment staff was really great. The pool side service was non existent, if you want a drink while at the pool it is self service for sure. Room service was out of everything we asked for and usually an hour and a half or so to get room service. Long waits at restaurants when the property is 50% booked, you must have to wait 3 hours plus when the property is busy. Coffee shop disappointed my wife daily, just not good drinks she said. You can’t order mixed drinks through room service so the swim out pool we paid extra to get is awesome if you don’t drink alcohol , otherwise it is a 5 minute walk to the bar then back to your room with your drink to enjoy at your swim out pool. The entire staff needs to visit the location in Mexico so they can see how different the service experience is.
The front desk, the tourist desk and the people who work in the smoke shop and gift shop are scammers. Whatever price they tell you, low ball them. Stick to your decision and say that is all the money you have. You will eventually get it for the price you want to pAy. Now that you are through that mess, welcome to luxury. Please do not let those few people detour you from staying here. EVERYTHING and EVERYONE were FANTASTIC. This is the best vacation we have ever had. Just remember to bring proper clothes for the restaurants. For guys this is a collared shirt, long pants (can be jeans) and shoes (not sandals). For ladies this is anything nice (pants,capris, dress, skirts, etc.) Again no sandals/flip flops for the ladies either. Enjoy yourself. This resort is fantastic.
