Food was horrendous. Steak gray- appeared boiled from a steak house. Half the menus at the restaurants they did not have available. Octopus and lobster dry and chewy. They wanted to substitute our grouper fish for mash potatoes. Unfriendly staff- felt as though we were bothering them. Subpar customer service. Luggage never arrived at room even after 2 hours when told it would arrive momentarily. Room service stated 45 minutes and it would consistent arrive in 1 1/2 hours. Towels not available at pool. When asked if someone could assist us they said not to worry and would be back in 5 minutes with towels . After 45 min they never returned. Paid for excellence club and one of their two excellence restaurants closes. Went to spa for a massage and facial. They forgot to add on the facial. Very disappointing for what we thought was going thought was going to be a 5 star resort

Staff was very friendly and management checked in on us. The only problem we had was all week our room kept getting skipped over for a cleaning. Our dirty towels were towering. We did have the green button on for “open” instead of the red but somehow we were overlooked. We got towels right away when I called and management was willing to help. Overall very clean, quiet, good food, and entertainment was nice. Best part was the ocean and the private beach where you didn’t have to worry about leaving your items by your beach chair and walking away. We loved it!!

We waited an hour for our room on arrival. They were non chalant about the situation and never had the opportunity to speak to a Manager. When you walk in its was not inviting very dark and smelt like mildew. The staff were blah, compared to other restaurants we've stayed at. There was alot of construction going on around our room and property. For our inconveniences they offer us a cabana with a server, although we explained we were there with 16 other people. That would take us away from our party for up to 4 hours. One of the days there our room didn't get cleaned all dayy we had to call them. The esthetics were nice and the food was good, but compared to other places ive stayed in Jamaica the feel of tne people and tne vibe wasnt there. I will stick with Secrets st james.

Had a great stay at Excellence after working 28 days straight a solo trip was much needed. Had a great time. The staff was amazing. From my experience the club beach wasn’t that great. Beach area by main pool was the best. Food was the best I’ve had at an all inclusive. Look forward to my next visit.

The staff and management were excellent, but the property is run down and in need of a lot repairs. Food was average. The problem was the property. We switched 3 rooms during our stay and just gave up… each room had a smell and/or plumbing issue. Also, I don’t know why this property is a VIP access hotel, I did not receive any additional benefits as a platinum member of Expedia.

The staff of Excellence made this vacation a 10/10! Our room was amazing and clean! We never wanted for anything. Bath water was ran when requested. Turn down services were amazing. Food was absolutely the best!

The only down side was the food it was not really accommodating with food preferences and what I could eat and they didnt have a lot of options.

Great staff, and the room was very nice. However half of the restaurants were closed due to renovation, including the infinity pool. We tried almost every restaurant that we could & every single one was so disappointing. No sauces or spices on any meats & pastas barely had any sauce, really nothing had any flavor or consistency. The ribs were good at the steak house but they had no sauce at all on them like everything else here. Even room service was mediocre which is saying something because how do you screw up nachos? Just no flavor, so we were starving the whole week basically having to survive off of the food at the little coffee shop that has donuts and ice cream, such a bummer. Besides that the hotel really was amazing, but the all inclusive 24/7 food was what we were most excited about & was a huge let down. I’d recommend going to a hotel that is nice but doesn’t have all inclusive food, we would’ve saved money and had way better food even with ordering delivery for every meal. However the area outside of the resort isn’t very safe, so do research and find one that’s very secure and in a good area

We stayed in both the beach house in Villa 12 and then 2 days in Villa 5. The rooms and bathroom are spacious with wonderful views. We did encounter some issues with the room but they were dealt with straight away. Room service is 24/7 and a daily complimentary mini fridge and bottles of wine and liquor. The room assistant Michelle was simply lovely, our anniversary wasnt acknowledged upon arrival, not a biggie but Michelle got us a banner and decorated our bedroom, its the small things that count. All the staff are professional, yet engaging for the visiting clientele, i only watched the Jamaican cultural dancers and the Bob Marley Show with Jamaican buffet. What a evening everyone was on their feet by the end of the night
