It was really noisy.its the property next to the hotel always playing loud music.The phone was hardly operational. Fresh linens was always a hassle. House keeping would show up at all different times to give linens and if they didn't show up you are out of luck. They put these cute decorations on the bed with fresh flowers and i was very excited until i started getting bug bites. Needless to say they were no longer cute. And the biggest problem was the guys selling drugs on the beach. I literally watched the security chase two guys down the beach. They hid under the pier and was back selling drugs in 20 minutes. Hey listen if you don't believe go spend your money to stay here. Good Luck. I definitely regret spending my honeymoon here.

The property itself was nice. Beautiful location. Most of the staff was miserable. Found roaches in our room twice. Balcony door latch was broke. In room phone didn’t work our whole stay. A/C was broke for a day and a gas smell the next day. Room service forgot items almost every single day (towels, soap, shampoo, clean sheets). Spoke with manager, nothing was done about anything.

Someone came into our room in the middle of the night while we were sleeping, and stole our phones, money, passport, wallet, pocketbook, and all the items. The hotel made it seems like I was telling a lie and was being very dismissive until we found out there was another guest in the same position. Also, this is not the first time this has happened and the hotel is not doing anything about it. When asked for a refund I was denied and was told I need to send an email to corporate. Corporate took a week before they emailed me back to tell me there was no forced entry so there is nothing they can do for me. To make matters worst whoever that came into our room came into my bed while I was sleeping to take the phone. I will not recommend this hotel, I’ve also reached out to Orbitz to get a refund and someone was supposed to look into the matter and get back to me it’s been about two weeks now and I haven’t heard anything. Riu didn’t even have the decency to pick up the phone and give me a call. I was violated.....

This was my second time going to riu... after arriving it took us over three hours to get check in and then was finally checked in no rooms was available. The bed was not comfortable at only but the staff help us to make sure we had a good sleep. Everything else was kinda other then the long wait.

I will rated it 2** I was celebrating my husband bday Eventhoug I paid for an ocean view, we only got partial view I request higher floor I was on the 1st floor !Not room service at all ! Nothing acknowledging his birthday not cat not flowers no even a diffeny decoration every night it was just so cold !!! Not amenities for adults not night club. Eventhough this is my 4th time staying in a Rui Hotel . Nothing is open after 10pm only the 24 hours bar who had not decent food only old hot dogs and old chips and frozen nasty sandwiches in the refrigerator , it was nasty !!! Food wasn’t as expected everyday the same food at the buffet. Fruits were not fresh ! Steak house was the only good thing we ate, but for the kulinary restaurant you needed it reservations !!I asked about reservations when I first checked in they told me Yoi don’t need it !!!’ It got even funny when we tried to make and excursion everybody had a different price, I couldn’t find the girl who offer me a $70 p/p when I asked again they told me $130 p/p it was getting ridiculous I understand people make money to support their family but taking advantage of people who work hard and decide to spend their money it’s not longer attractive !!! The person at the only shop was so Very rude making inappropriate comments !!! However, the guys from the kayaks and peddling were great !!! I only want to thanks the person The beautiful lady who cleaned our room i left her my rose

Absolutely loved this place. 10/10. Would highly recommend. Plan on returning soon.

Everything was amazing with the staff, cleanliness, and accomodations. The only negatives is the beds were a little stiff and did not have a comforter, only sheets. The water pressure was pretty bad but got the job done! The food was hit or miss. Pretty typical resort food i suppose but not excellent.

Check in was a breeze ! From the managers to housekeepers to the gift shop employees were very pleasant. There were no hiccups ! My only downfall was how everything was so centrally located and my room was pretty far due to how big the facility was. Wonderful place for vacation .

This is our 4th trip to Jamaica. 2nd stay at RIU Ocho Rios. Would have been 3 if they hadn’t been through remodeling on the previous trip. Excellent resort great food great people

Service/workers were great! Room was clean. Wish they provided transportation from the airport, included.

I have been to this property multiple times. It was nicer friendlier prior to the renovations. It is still a beautiful property, but has lost a lot of its charm.

Someone came into our room in the middle of the night while we were sleeping, and stole our phones, money, passport, wallet, pocketbook, and all the items. The hotel made it seems like I was telling a lie and was being very dismissive until we found out there was another guest in the same position. Also, this is not the first time this has happened and the hotel is not doing anything about it. When asked for a refund I was denied and was told I need to send an email to corporate.
