Spacious rooms and nice ocean view suites. We enjoyed the activities and the location. Had some trouble with our plumbing but was addressed promptly and taken care of eventually. Very good staff with friendly demeanor all around and all times.
This is a great property. I will recommend to all. Just like you are at your own home.. :):) Love the rice cooker, wash & dryer, all the things I need are there. Staff are so friendly and helpful. I felt so relaxed on this property, and so close to the blue sea !!! I can hear the waves..
I love this place. Despite the rude arrogant man at check in. The girls at check in were great except, they give you an aweful lot of info at once. The guy that gives you your parking tag was really a bad example for being one of the first people you come in contact with at this property. Did not like his attitude at all! Very rude! On the other hand, I like this place because it is usually very peaceful and quiet. Except for that barking dog in the unit above, it’s usually quiet. I like that there is a quiet pool and a pool for the loud crowd. They have pretty many grills for barbecue dinner, but it makes no sense to say no using barbecue during the entertainment which happened to be scheduled right at dinner time. We noticed the bathtub was a bit slippery. It did have somewhat of a nonslip surface, but it may need a non slip pad as I did slip in the tub my first step in. We saw Dolphins and whales right from our lanai! The staff was great and friendly! Except the one dude at the concierge desk, he should go work where he’s not dealing with people. I do love this place! I stay there every time I go.
We loved the views and the size and amenities the room had. We loved staying there and would do so again. It was hard to leave!
I loved how close I was to the swimming pool and ocean. I liked the openness of the room.
Our place was clean, the staff was always very nice and helpful. Very glad we stayed here.
The only thing that I wasn’t pleased with was that there was a $225 cleaning fee at check out. We left the condo in great condition when we checked out.
Roaches in the room. Roaches outside. Staff was not able to get the things that we asked for, towels etc. No room cleaned till you leave. Then charged 200.00 for the cleaning service.
Hotel was located close to shops and restaurants. Staff was excellent. However, the condos are dated. Furniture and carpet worn, needed deep cleaning. Beds were comfortable, kitchen well equiped. Everything was in working order. Overall good place to stay at.
We had the time of our lives there. We got married on the island. So our stay there was our honeymoon too. Close to the fun stuff in town but far enough away that it is quite. i would so recommend. People there are so sweet and helpful too. I only wish there cleaning when your in a timeshare was a little better. we had not service at all. other then that AWESOME !!!!!
This condo was gorgeous - very homey, with nice touches like a cooler in the closet for outings and complementary body boards and beach chairs to take along. The beds were great, with plenty of space for us and our 3 teens. We had two lanais with beautiful views of the ocean. The worst part about the room was having to check out!!!
The hotel was centrally located and looks renovated - 5/10 mins walk to downtown Kona and a great 4.5 mi walk or jog path (road side) just outside the hotel. We had a rental car, so was able to go to Hilo and visited many sights in a day, visited many beaches and hiking trails in our two-week trip. Don't be mislead by the description "garden view" - you may have the view of tree tops, a peak of ocean and the parking lot #that's what we had# but we were compensated with an updated unit #updated within last 5-10 years#, close to the elevator and with a quiet air con and working #a plus#. We requested for clarification of "garden view" and change of unit with better view. We were informed that "garden view" basically means "no view" and if we want a view, we can pay for upgrade. There was not much information provided at the time of check-in; five days later, when we enquired we were provided with information that #upon request# there are additional costs for cleaning services, towel changes and extra laundry powder packs #nominal cost#. This hotel is quiet and great as the main starting/meeting location. We would return for that reason. If you can afford the additional costs, highly recommend to go for the ocean front unit. We would if we decide to return to Kona in a future vacation.
