We’ve stayed in various units at Magic Sands, an older complex but directly on the ocean makes the tight space and not so modern amenities worth it. I don’t leave negative reviews unless the owner doesn’t try to make things right. Before packing I messaged asking what supplies I need to bring. She said the condo has everything. It had 1 roll of toilet paper, a partial roll of paper towels.1 beach chair, 3 bath towels for a 9 night stay. I visited the complex prior to the stay and messaged that screen door facing ocean was ripped and off track. She didn’t respond. Door had a note on it not to use that side when we arrived. We arrived after dark, there is no porch light. Electronic entry did not light up and the codes she gave for the key box didn’t work either. We messaged, no response. We had to have VRBO give us a different code. The bed is comfortable. We really wanted to like it. The 2 burner cooktop did not work. We messaged and again no response. We called VRBO she did not respond to multiple calls from them. The front screen has a rusty lock and it’s difficult to get just right to unlock it. I get a condo so we can cook. VRBO ended up moving us after 2 nights. I’m still having to pursue the price difference they promised us. With a few adjustments unit could be so nice. I’m hoping the owner is ok. Lack of response is so weird! She doesn’t use a management company. The back screen door to the unit faces the pool area where others sunbathe so not very private.
