The room was decorated in a nice modern/minimalist design. The walls are very thin. Could hear a group of people across the hall from us, having a birthday party. Shower water pressure was sub par Room service was quick, and the hotel restaurant was nice and clean, and beautifully designed. Elevators were really hot inside and took longer than expected to get to our floor. Ocean view from the penthouse was amazing.

Great location , nice place . Room was cleaned , I stayed there 4 days , floor was not clean , when I checked in , never been vacuumed during my stay

The room was fine. Lots of space, ok mattress no complaint there. The hotel is mismanaged. During our 3 day stay the hallway was not vacuumed once, there was trash all over. Other than making the bed and changing towels the room was not cleaned. Balcony glass was filthy and balcony remained dirty during our stay. I think it is very understaffed.

Nice pool, the rooms have the potential to be nice but are not cleaned well. Stains in the carpet, dirty sheets, paint chips etc.

Gorgeous hotel rooms and views Hotel needs to work out many kinks - we were first provided a room on the 2nd floor looking directly at the pool side restaurant, and we were right by where they take out the garbage and laundry all day long - very unpleasant. However after 3 days of complaining they finally moved us to a higher floor (manager Nadine was the

The worst!! They over booked and didn’t have a room for us, after the time we spent traveling over to the hotel and waited for hours, the manager Mariano was of no help, and couldn’t help us. No one can, they service is horrible don’t waste your money or time in HYDE!

I rarely write bad reviews but this one is necessary. After one week here I figured out that as long as we didn’t need anything from the staff, we were fine. 1. Check in - Long line which took forever. The person who checked us in was pleasant but it took a long time for her to actually get us a room. You could also tell that she was simply doing the basics. 2. Elevators were a disaster- long lines. 3, the fire alarm went off several times one night but it kept getting truncated so we were not sure whether it was a glitch in the system or a real fire. No one answered the front desk or operator. So we were never informed that it was a false alarm. A neighbor called 911 to find out from the fire station that all was fine. This alarm went off for 30 more minutes creating such confusion amongst the guests. Communication and customer service needs much improvement. 4. The pesky frying pan - one reason we wanted to stay in a suite was to cook. We realized that we didn’t have a frying pan to cook. When I called the front desk, they said that they didn’t have one. I was stunned by their attitude and finality of their answer. I made do with the other pans, but the next morning i wanted to make pan cakes and called again. Same answer. I said that Walmart was literally down the street and did they really want me to go and buy one! They finally brought it a few hours later. 5. Parking costs $38 per night -and getting the car takes forever. 6. Jacuzzi - was packed with young kids.

Totally overpriced, weird layout. Architect and designer totally failed on that property. Does not feel welcoming at all. Prefer staying in a hampton inn

Beyond pleased with the entire experience at Hyde. Excellent location, great amenities, and a room that exceeded my expectations!

Awesome location and beaches. Very nice room, clean, all we needed was there for us, great balcony, beautiful views on the ocean, 7th floor. Check in went good, Elijah was very helpful and respectful, so was the door guy. Valet was quick and efficient, friendly. Elevator to go to your room? Not so efficient, long wait. Housekeeping could use friendliness, not happy people, but do a good job. Concierge?? An older latino guy, unfriendly, rude, you clearly bother him, this guy clocked in for his shift but his main goal is to do as little as he can, could hire someone else it won't hurt the Hyde. Terraza restaurant has great foods and quality staff. Pool is excessively noisy, young kids, many many of them, should be kept in kiddie pool instead of clogging the larger pool and reducing adult enjoyment, it felt like a daycare, this pool is a zoo. Gym is decently equipped. Overall, nice place!

Pros- Nice hotel, close to the beach. Staff were very courteous. Cons- the bed smelled funny, like old/musty. The floors were always sticky and not freshly clean. The elevators take forever. The valet took FOREVER to bring the car. Every single time.

I enjoyed my stay. The views were nice from the balcony. The rooms are spacious.

Nice place if your from Cuba or don't speak English, but if not they don't treat your worth a crap! Plus EVERYTHING and I mean everything is WAY over priced!!! Even down the watered down drinks from the bar and the overpriced food in the lobby! Also house keeping ran out of Wash cloths and when we asked about it, it took them 2 days to get us new ones. Then they didn't even clean our room after they dropped them off.

Very good location, friendly staff . Nice pool with restaurant on the 9th floor with excellent views

Overall, my stay was satisfactory. Although I did not ask for one, I received a room upgrade from a 1 bedroom king suite to a 2 bedroom queen suite. The room was huge. Ergo, 3 beds, 1 person. I complete waste. $35 valet parking even for guests was exorbitant. Rarely could you find parking for someone to swing by for a visit. $25 hotel additional fee. The gym was a joke. Customer service was God awful. One would have to wait several minutes to get any service let alone a review on coffee. Ironically that charged a mandatory 18% tip fee on every meal=disgusting. Rewarding lousy service. Room service was never available and they closed at the MOST ridiculous times. 10pm? 11pm? From a 4 to 5 star hotel, this is unacceptable. Should be 24 hour service. There were only 4 elevators for a 40 story hotel! It took minutes upon minutes to go to the lobby. The hotel staff were nice--but I was getting tired of hearing, "I'm sorry," all day long.
