I stay here each time I visit this area, about every quarter. Great location, easy to park, great property, responsive staff.

My wife and I stayed 6 nights during boat show week and we made the reservation only one week out. In some ways, we were lucky to find a property close the beach on such short notice. On the positive side, the location is GREAT! Very short one block walk to great beach location. Many great waterfront dining options within easy walking distance. We even walked to the boat show entrance (about a mile). The staff was very friendly but not knowledgeable about the area. The property was below average and very old and in desperate need of some updating. The bathroom had rust on fixtures, cracking paint and cheap vinyl old style shower curtain. The towels were paper thin and very small. You could literally see through them. We never planned to spend much time in the room but the TV did not even have the local network channels of NBC, CBS, ABC etc.. so you could not watch the local news and weather or wake up to the Today show or CBS. Overall it probably falls into the you get what you pay for category but we were disappointed.
It was so clean and the rooms have been revamped by the help of Ikea:-) fresh towels everyday on the door and 2 BLOCKS AWAY FROM THE BEACH!! The rooms also have tile flooring because I would NEVER stay in a hotel with carpet. Great Labor Day weekend!
The location is very good but the property is dated not very well kept. What is good about the room is the bed, very comfortable. However there is no closet to put your clothes, only some hangers. The bathroom is very small and on my last night more than 20 baby cockroaches came out from behind the toilet. It was very late at night, around 11:30pm so I just killed them all and did not contact the reception. When I checked out, the reception lady, who is very nice btw, told me I should have told them so they would put me in another room but anyway, it was a bad experience
Some aspects of the room were dated and the bed wasn’t the most comfortable. Staff was outstanding and the price/location can’t be beat.
One of the beds wasn't made when I checked in but the staff worked quickly to resolve the issue and had housekeeping come out to make the bed. There wasn't a fan in the bathroom so it would get really steamy with the shower running. Overall I would stay there again because of it's proximity to the beach.
The Staff was excellent, walking distance to everything: beach, water sports, dining. The room was clean, comfy bed. Nothing to complaint.
We had a pleasant stay there. It's very convenient. Close to the major beach and restaurants. The property is a little old and bathroom is a little outdated. But the ceiling and floor makes the room ok for staying. Consider its location and pool and free parking, it's a pretty good deal overall.

My recent stay at Fortuna Hotel was the first week in March 2022. The room was very clean and all was in good working order. The staff was very courteous and promptly addressed any questions or issues that I had. The location of the hotel, one block from the beach, was quiet and appeared to be very safe. One of the major attractions for me was the short 10 minute walk to the restaurants and music. This hotel is a good value for what you pay. I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel and plan to return on my next visit to Fort Lauderdale.

Before checking in to a long-reserved resort vacation, I needed a nearby place for one night, and this was perfect. It was New Years Eve, and I appreciated the easy walk to beachside restaurants. The unit was clean and comfortable and had just what I needed, no more and no less. I would definitely return.
Don’t let the pictures fool you .. not at all like what you see online .. this property is a bit run down. The a/c unit was directly in front of the bed - so whoever laid on that side was freezing with air blowing non stop. Bathroom is old and no counter space. No blackout curtains and bath towels were kids size. Do not recommend
