The property was nice, the staff friendly and the restaurants were good!
I booked this room for Father's day weekend. I wanted to surprise my husband with a romantic Father's day getaway. Our room was on the 14 floor and we had a breathtaking ocean view. However, they were only two working elevator in the entire hotel that had over 240 rooms. The first night we had to wait 30 mins in a long line just to get on the elevator with our luggage. I order ice once we finally gain access to our room so we can start the weekend off the right way with bottle of champagne. Sadly, I was disappointed once again after, waiting 40 mins and calling the front desk to remind them to have some ice sent to our room. The 2nd night my husband and I waited an hour to get on the elevator and was told that Hotel was down to one working elevator by the staff. Once the elevator got to the ground floor I accidentally stepped in dog feces that right outside the elevator floor in the lobby. Another issue is valet parking which was a nightmare. After the battle of waiting in line to get on the elevator we had to wait another 30mins for valet to get our car. I am truly disappointed with this hotel.
The only thing that was frustrating was that there was only one elevator in tower 1 working it was terrible and my jazucci did not work in my suite other than that this place is great...Big ups to Raul the director for quest services and Adela the GM they were both great in acknowledging our issues we had and promptly resolving them
I liked everything there but the service wasn’t pleasant. I called front desk for technical for free movie night per day but no one came to fix it.
We were given a handicap accessible room on 6th floor upon check in. It was terrible. No lights. No doors in the bathroom. No coffee maker and horrible shower. Pretty disgusting. We called early on day 2 and we moved to the same suite on a higher floor. The staff was very polite and accommodating for the most part. The new room was much nicer on the 16th floor. Certainly not 5 star but a solid 4. Pool and staff were great. Steakhouse 954 in the hotel was pretty good. For the same rate there is a brand new Four Seasons one block away. The W needs to up their entire game if they want to compete with the high end hotels.
Terrible staff never again
Beautiful hotel with amazing views. Rooms were nice and bright. El Vez restaurant on the ground floor was very good. Enjoyed having drinks in the Living Room Bar. Two pool areas were both great. Would definitely come back again!
Great location and good food
Staff sucked room was dirty
Disappointed. Arrived and checked into our room which was not ready. Trash on the floor, pillows on couch w/o cases not on them, no towels. We spoke to the front desk and were provided with a new room which was ready when we entered it. On the 3rd day we came back to the room from the pool late in the afternoon with the door "pegged open" by housekeeping. Thought the room was broken into and valuables stolen. Thankfully, nothing stolen but a HUGE error by housekeeping. Our room did not have the trash emptied during the week and the TP was not replaced. We had hoped for a better experience at the W. and were very disappointed with the experience.
Did not like you had to pay $45 dollars a day for parking no matter what, no one explained the amenities or what the resort fee included upon check in, no one gave us a wrist band to get into the pool upon checking in, our phone was broken, if you didn’t tip enough the staff were rude and they wouldn’t return to your room, no access to the street or dining options that overlook the ocean, just a very secluded hotel I almost felt I wasn’t on the beach at all, staff were rude, overpriced for what you get :( very disappointed
