Great location on beach. Parking fee very high and apples at lobby are a nice touch

My bed was full of ants! And there was still previous guest trash in the room. The linens were uncomfortable and not clean! Check in was very painful as they took over an hour to find my reservation. My name is Daniel Pitlock Jr. My last name is not junior it is the suffix of my name. For spending almost 500 dollars on a room for one night was not worth it. I looked at the W as a prestigious nice luxury hotel and it was anything but. We left after one night and stayed somewhere else. 1 star rating!

This was an excellent lodging option. Right on the beach and like always, very modern/contemporary place with friendly staff.

The W hotel is beautiful and the living room smelled of orange, heavenly. The staff was very nice and it was raining very hard outside and we had no problems getting an early check in. I appreciate that so much. We also got 4 free drinks, that was a nice touch. We also got a complimentary upgrade on our room. Our room on the other hand, not horrible but not what I expected either. It looked nice and clean but it had a strong smell of mildew, that got worse when we turned the heater on. Also I killed a teenage roach in the bathroom. The bed wasn’t very comfortable either, and I absolutely hated the bedding those sheets were hard. I had high expectations because the room was expensive but it definitely fell short.

Nice luxurious clean hotel with a nice view of the beach

I had not been on vacation in 10 years and my oldest daughter convinced me to go, picking our stay at the W. We both couldn’t be happier about our stay and the memories we made on our vacation. Our room was amazing with a beautiful view of the ocean. The Whatever/whenever service was perfect tending to any needs we had, water bottles, ice, pepto bismol,etc., kind staff and very timely. We were welcomed by a special tray of snacks, fruit, soda, and a free in room movie when we arrived sent by welcome agent Arrina. At the pool and the living room Anthony took care of our food and drink orders every single day with wonderful service and a great personality. Our room stylist Yveline made sure to find a convenient time for us to clean our room. She was also very kind and enjoyed talking with her. There are so many names of staff I can not remember but I will say absolutely everyone we came across were so kind, respectful and seemed to really care about our stay. We are already looking forward to and planning a future stay at the W. Thank you to the W for the best vacation!!!

Was on a quick getaway with my 20 year old son, so picked the W since it's geared toward young people, found out night club closed a few years back.The business model of the W and image is geared toward Millennials with a few bucks. The wording for everything is in Millennial speak. No coffee maker in rooms, towels like sand paper, for a luxury hotel, please! But they have a have a Nespresso,machine in the room with a price tag, that George Clooney clown will sell you for 150 bucks. Everything is for sale. No grab and go Café for quick breakfast sandwich or Coffee. Had to walk next door to the Hilton to get coffee and breakfast Sandwich every day. Need to call room service for a bucket of ice and wait 1/2 hour. Jammed in elevator with service people and room service, because the only have one service elevator for a giant hotel..Stayed next door at Hilton last time in Ft L Much nicer. I'm a little older and still like high end hotels with amenities. This place was not for me. Even my son thought it was lame. I would not go back there for 1/2 price. That being said, perhaps young people only care about the over priced Grey Goose and expresso in the room. Room did have a pretty good ocean view though

Hotel was great and clean and everything I expected from the W and I would stay again for sure. The Concierge wasn’t knowledgeable about the area and what things to do which I thought was bizarre?! Maybe he was a fill in and not a full time concierge I cant say for sure, but he was clueless and told us Las Olas Blvd didn’t exist anymore, and water taxi’s wasn’t worth it and tried telling us not to spend any time there in Fort Lauderdale to eat but rather to go eat in Miami?!? Maybe he should work in a different department at the hotel that’s my advice. Other than that the W was awesome.

This is our third stay at the Ft.Lauderdale W...we've seen change over the years...the lounge and main desk area have been completely renovated and look great but in our estimation the rooms are showing a lot of wear and tear... the pool area need more daily attention..lounge cushions are stained and dirty, the tile floor isn't clean, and the pool needs an update. The Steak restaurant has great food but is also showing a great deal of wear and tear. On a good note... the valet service is outstanding...especially for such a busy place.. every room has a view designed to give a beautiful view of the ocean, and the hotel is located in a convenient area for easy access to other hotels, the beach and restaurants. We found most of the staff to be professional and courteous although our experiences in communicating with the concierges service found them a bit disinterested in addressing our needs. We really enjoyed this hotel when it first opened, but truthfully, we don't intend to return until they address our concerns...guess you should know that we go to Ft.Lauderdale yearly in February or March and have experienced a number of hotels and restaurants in the area.

Disappointed. Room was filthy upon arrival, riddled with dust bunnies, hair, and multiple stains. Balcony was black with sut and never deep cleaned. Felt like a party room. Room cleaning did not happen on second day. Numerous calls were ignored. Breakfast at steak 954 was below average and servers made several errors. Food at Pool was lackluster. Overall not worth the money.

The decoration very modern. The hotel was recently renovated and everything looks pristine. The staff was friendly and check in/out was seamless.

I love the hotel it was excellent, and my room was gorgeous, the lady who did my check in was super nice and sweet, however when I was doing my check out the staff was super rude. so just be aware

We had the two bedroom suite ! Full kitchen , two bathrooms , and washer and dryer in the suite . We really enjoyed our stay .

Nice staff excellent environment beautiful views and very clean only thing is that they're doing construction so the noise of construction woke me up every morning other than that everything was great!

Staff is pretty friendly and hotel is directly across from the beach. Those are the only positives. This place has a very odd layout. You first walk into a lobby and have to wait for a set of VERY SLOW elevators, which only operate through 4 floors. Once you're on the 4th floor,(which is where the reception desk is) you have to 100ft to another set of EXTRA SLOW elevators that take you up to your room. I reserved a "spectacular oceanview room". Which is a very misleading description. Had all of 2/3ft balcony that barely fit 2 people. Had a partial oceanview and cityview to go along with a "spectacular" view of the construction going on at the hotel. The decor in the room was simple but nice in my opinion. Furniture was pretty worn. There was chipped paint all over the balcony. As well as moldy edges on the Windows. Housekeeping is almost non existent. All they did was fix up the bed. Didn't get fresh towels for all of the 3nights I was there. Last but not least. You will pay an extra $70/day between parking and hotel fees. That doesn't really sit well after staying at an unpleasant hotel. This is not the worst hotel I've stayed in. Just very sub-par for the price you pay. This is not an upscale hotel by extent of the word. Could've definitely stayed at a courtyard for half the price and receive better or equal service.
