The Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort

Feels at best 3 star hotel. Resort fee outrageously expensive (more than other surrounding hotels), and it does not even cover an umbrella on the beach . No shampoo or conditioner in the room in one of the rooms (we had 2 rooms ), upon checking in around midnight and could not get in-touch with the housekeeping services or reception desk after the midnight to get it delivered. One “clean” robe in the closet with the huge stain on the sleeve. It looked like it was “dry cleaned “ and pressed, but having this permanent huge black stain on a sleeve, it should’ve been thrown away and not offered to the guests. We had other robes delivered (after complaining) next day, those were clean. Terrible disappointment, considering it’s Westin . I guess , the “Westin” name doesn’t imply the quality anymore.

Our one night stay was fun and relaxing. The outside bar was perfect. The valet staff was amazing.

Good location... Beautiful views of the ocean. Clean

We were there after the hurricane. Although they were short staffed, everyone was very nice and working very hard. Some stressed out guests were not being very pleasant and I thought they handled it well. Room and bed were ok. Could hear stuff in the hallway's but thankfully the AC was pretty loud. The AC in the room wasn't working that great but I think that was because they were recovering from the storm. Went for a great walk in the evening. Wonderful location.

I booked my room through Orbitz, thankfully. My reservation was wrong and needed to be changed. Westin was unwilling to help, even though they told me it was fine the previous evening. Orbitz was able to cancel one night and add a new night, except since it was for the same day, it was an additional $100 on top of an already expensive room, plus a $50 resort fee, Plus $40 to park at the hotel. This is not what I would call good customer service on Westin's part.

The hotel is very nice . Clean and the staff could not do enough for you and were always willing to go the extra mile . The beach is across the beach and very nice . I would recommend this facility to all and my wife and I plan on going back in the future

Great location. Very nice gym. Staff are courteous. Enjoyed bikes.

The beach was refreshing. The rain cooled the place off. The fish could be seen under water. It took a day to get acclimated to east coast time zone. The parking fee was outrageous. Found less expensive nearby thank god. Drove down to Key West. It reminded me of Austin Tx. Lakeside. Wish we had time to get in a boat. Checked out Miami at night. Little more hectic than Ft. Lauderdale. Climate was tropical. Hope to go back someday.

We stayed here for the 4th of July week excellent hotel accommodation friendly excellent staff rooms are clean and comfy excellent location to see fireworks show 4th of July party we love it

The lack of communication this hotel hasbIs so poor. I would never set foot back in to this hotel. I would rather drowned first. Ive been in the hospitality business and no!! I just turned 35 and they was treating us like we where some crazy teens on spring break. Some what of a poor Birthday/ Vacation I have ever had.

Overall a great stay. Great staff, nice place and easy access to see the area. The only down side was the food. It wasn't terrible but it was costly for average food. So over all very pleased with my experience. Thank you

Everything is good about the hotel, except for the extremely slow and not so welcoming service at the hotel restaurant Sirene's Table. Would not recommend joining them for dinner. Other hotel amenities are very good: skybridge to the beach, welcoming staff at reception and pool, comfy beds.

Highly recommend this ocean front hotel! It is in a great location with many restaurants etc.

Parking fee of 35.00 per day and resort fee of about the same was a surprise exspense ... But the hotel is beautiful !

Stayed two nights before cruise. Enjoyed the stay and the hotel.

You arrive at the hotel and immediately you are welcome by a mandatory very expensive valet parking . Then at the reception they offer you a expensive daily package for free internet, access to the gym, 2 bottles of water. Nice warm money oriented resort. The rooms are small and renovating them would be in the interest of the hotel. IT DOES NOT HAVE THE PRESTIGE OF A WESTIN. SORRY BUT I HAD THE IMPRESSION TO BE SCAMMED. The focus of the hotel is on squeezing money out of you pocket and having you out of the place rapidly the day of your departure. I would not recommend this place to anybody.

Good Location. Worst Westin I've stayed in. The elevators were not working properly the entire time I was there. Terrible service at the pool. Overall very disappointed.

Nice hotel. Easy check in. If you opt to go green and limit your house keeping, you will have to call for anything you need. We called for coffee replacements but they were never delivered despite 2 separate calls. Good thing Starbucks is in the hotel.

The room was clean and the staff was friendly. Parking was really expensive, but we managed to make it work with metered parking.
