I paid extra for a resort credit , early check in and late checkout out. No one at the front desk had any idea what I was talking about and wouldn’t honor it. I even showed proof from my itinerary. Front desk staff was terrible. I basically was handed my room key and was told they would look into the credit. I got two tickets for a happy hour drink (which I found out later from another guest) but it was too late too use them because no one mentioned it to me or told me what they were for. Later on in the evening I asked for any stores still open in the area and I was told Walgreens was 24 hours and it was a short walk.. I walked all the way there to find out it was closed. As a former hotel manager, the front desk should be able to provide correct information on the hotel, the amenities, and surrounding areas.
Overpriced for the shabby rooms. Food and courtyard was pleasant.
The room looks old and needs to be updated. Breakfast was good and staff was nice.
Rooms are large and spacious but need serious makeover. Curtains, carpets and furniture are old and worn. Didnt help that we kept seeing these small roach-like bugs running around the room. Daily housekeeping is not provided unless specifically asked for - a Covid related policy apparently. Had bought an all-inclusive package through Orbitz but upon arrival, was told that parking was an extra $35 a day and that there was no other place in area to park. So had no choice to park in hotel lot. Woke up after our first night to find our rentals windows smashed in along with several other cars in the lot. That said, the staff, especially Pete the manager, was wonderful about helping us file police reports, cleaning out all the broken glass, etc. Breakfast was adequate. Nice that we could order eggs and omelettes made fresh. No cut fresh fruit unfortunately. Only made it once to the evening reception - no frozen drinks but other beers, wines, mixed drinks, were offered. The accompanying ‘snacks’ were sad. The property must have been magnificent when it opened. But there’s a really run-down feeling to the whole place. Doubt I’d stay there again.
The paint was literally falling off the walls. Bathroom floors were old, moldy, cracked. Shower was almost unusable. The breakfast and lobby are fantastic, but the rooms are completely run down and just gross. Would never stay again.
Excellent hotel
The property was close to walkable food and shopping options. We had a balcony that overlooked the back parking lot area on the 6th floor and we heard no noise from either outside or inside the hotel and we had a restful night. The bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfast was a nice touch, but the line was very long when we went, so we didn't get a chance to go through the line more than once if we decided to get something else, but otherwise a great benefit to guests.
Not sure where I should start. I’ve been going to this particular property for 35 years. And not specific to this hotel in Fort Lauderdale but all of the Embassy suites around the country. What I’ve noticed on a regular basis is how they don’t maintain their properties. The vanity in the bathroom is so chipped up and falling apart I feel like I’m at a garage sale. They touched up scratches on the door into the bathroom with a different color. It’s just an outdated and unmaintained are hotel. As for the complimentary drinks and food. Now they give you carnival like drink tickets for two drinks. The order consisted of carrots cucumber broccoli and some thousand Island dressing in a big bowl. Halfway through happy hour all of food was gone. I had to wait in a long line to get a drink Just had breakfast. Glad this review came through at this time. There is a 50 person in line And then somebody came up and said if you’re having only scrambled eggs you can go to the front of the line so a bunch of us went up there. They made my husbands omelate wrong. OJ was all gone, coffee cup plastic lids wrong size, no silverware. When I asked they told me I had to go back to the back of the line where I can find a bowl and some silverware. And I found that take out plastic fork knife and napkins set to go with our paper plates! Nightmare I’ll say this. The beds were very comfortable. Too bad the toilet didn’t flush well! Lol If you’re shopping for a hotel I would not go here
Paper thin exterior walls. If you are facing the street, you here every car that goes by. No daily room cleaning, No room service, food service ends very early
The only thing that wasnt perfect was the cleanliness of the room when i checked in, but they quickly rectified.
Great open air feel with plenty of greenery, plants and flowing water in lobby. Balcony on suite was nice. Gym was adequate. Pool looked inviting with large rock structure. Open outside sitting area was spacious. Stocked bar with free drink tickets as a great. Food as tasty. Valet rocked! Only complaint, dirty room with dingy outdated feel. Good value though. Would stay again.
Property was great for the price complimentary breakfast every morning Managers cocktail hour every night and the food was great in the restaurant very close to the airport so I didn’t feel like I had to rush
Although when I arrived the staff was super friendly. The place looked beautiful. When I went into the room. It was super dirty. The toilet was pretty disgusting, like nobody knew how to clean after somebody went number two. I felt like nobody has cleaned at all in weeks or months and that place. It was very disappointing. Especially knowing that we’ve been going through Covid for over a year the least people could do is have the place in tiptop condition and super clean. I would not stay there again.
Love the checkin and digital key
I did not like the valet attendants they harassed me every time I pulled Into the parking lot, my hotel room carpet had stain in it, the hotel priced gouged me and my friends overall I wouldn’t recommend them at
