Pool closed due to construction main entrance closed due to construction tile in main foyer torn up, carboard taped to it to try and make it less of a tripping hazard area coordened off with caution tape through construction zone was only access to hotel. Paid extra for beach view but room just overlooked parking lot. $500/night. Terrible value. Should have been notified about construction and closed pool. Most disappointing hotel I have ever stayed at.

This property its under construction and was not told until I checked in and went to the room, everything was closed including the lobby, the lobby its just horrible, the view to the beach was ugly looking due to the construction and same day I left the cut the water source until 2pm. Horrible place

I had no warning that the hotel was under major renovations before I arrived to check in. The staff were amazing and the highlight of my stay, but the 2 main reasons to booked that property, the pool and beach access, were both unavailable for the duration of my stay due the the aforementioned renovations. I feel scammed.

Very upset that we were not warned that the hotel was under repairs. We’ve stayed here the last 4 years , mainly because of having a pool and deck on site . Talked with several people who stayed here and no one was warned of the major work being done. I feel we should have had a discounted rate since we were not warned of the situation ahead of time. So we could find a different location to stay

I booked this hotel for the amenities. When I got there I was told the pool was under renovation. There was a limited bar, no restaurant. I am handicap and look for hotels with amenities. Had they notified me of no amenities, I would not have booked this hotel. The staff was too busy on their phone to make eye contact with me. It was a bad experience.

In fairness there is a major renovation going on at the hotel so things are in a state of construction. The staff was good at accommodating our early arrival and were very helpful. The room temperatures were messed up and they did try to fix it and it helped some but the room was still very warm. We have stayed here before and know what it usually was like so I think they were just in construction. distractions.

Fort Lauderdale pre cruise hotel stay

Hotel was under renovation which we did not know about. No gym no pool. The corner room we had booked was no longer available. Looking at back at fine print hotels.com does not guarantee room availability. This would suggest I should book direct with the hotel chain.

1. expedia didnt reveal upon booking that the hotel was under renovation. no pool, no workout, not amenities! 2. there was no service to be had! they said there were other hotels to visit with a pool. it was bad. a workout gym a mile away. 3. all kinds of noises coming from construction. 4. my last day trying to take a shower. there wasnt any Hot water!!!!!!! absolutely horrible! at $350 per night. a joke!!!

Hotel is under construction, the pool is closed, and it would have been appropriate to notify guests about this when reservations were made. The room we stayed in was beautiful and appears to be newly remodeled, but we likely would not have booked if we knew the pool was closed.

I booked a junior suite and paid for that. When I get the the hotel they tell me they don’t have that room and only a standard. And if I want to dispute the charges j have to go through Expedia.
