I was expecting much more for over $300 per night. Our room was dated, smelled musty and the shower drain was slow and backed up. The fitness center was decent size but smelled musty also. The desk staff was friendly and the pool area was nice with plenty of places to lounge. They had a concierge but not overly friendly or helpful. The beach area was decent size but had a lot of seaweed on it. There was a security guard who made sure you were staying at the property. Close to Lauderdale by the Sea area restaurants - about 1/2 mile walk.

The beach is accessible from hotel . The water sports is located on property.

Nice clean property. AC worked well! All of the staff that I interacted with apart from guest relations manager, were nice and professional. I had a small but lasting interaction with him that makes me question if I wish to stay there again in the future. I checked in on a Monday, same day the FL governor dropped the mask mandate. I quickly noticed that other guests were not wearing facial coverings. On the evening of Wednesday, a man agressively yelled at me to put a mask on! I turned to look at him and his mask was below his nose. He had the front desk issue me a mask. I asked him if he knew the governor dropped the mandate and he nastly replied, the mandate has nothing to do with me and if you don't like it you can check out right now and leave! I asked him for his name and he responded, I'm the hotel manager. I asked, the top manager? He replied yes. I asked, OK, so what is your name? He replied with a very thick accent his name but I couldn't understand him. I asked for his name again and he pointed to his name tag and instructed the front desk to give me his card. He went on to talk about the posted signs and hotel policy. I cut him off and said I just wanted your name for when I review the hotel. He decided at that point to stop talking. I believe he realized how unprofessional he was being, and there was no reason to be a jerk about it. I didn't swim in the pool or hot tub so I don't have an opinion on them. However, the beach access was nice and convenient.

They say that there is a 72 hour period of time between guests staying in your room...why was our room not ready when we arrived as scheduled? Why was the garbage in the kitchenette area overflowing? Why was there toothpaste and who knows what else all over the bathroom counter? Why was the nightstand smeared with something nasty? They do not enforce wearing face masks by the guests. Overpriced for what it is. Nice location on the beach. Beach chairs are terrible and falling apart. The pads looked disgusting. These items are not cleaned at all between uses. The beach that the resort is on is full of garbage while you walk 20 feet off property and its nice and clean. We had to leave our bags with concierge and no one watched us put our bags in the room or checked that we had our bags when we returned. Bartender was very impatient and sassy. I don't mind paying a premium for good service and clean rooms. I do mind when I've paid a premium for this.

I liked that the beach was right there, no hassle! I enjoyed the valet parking, the employees were very kind. Also liked all the amenities that the hotel offered , Jet ski rental, Scooters, Etc. Will be back again definitely.

Can't beat he location, right on the beach. Nice pool! Parking a little pricey $20. per night. Great Italian restaurant next door at The Ocean Manor.

I liked that the hotel is very close to the ocean and you can walk there, staff was horrible every time you asked for something their favorite answer was “NO” loved the valet service they were always friendly. The rooms are very small, they advertised on the website very different then what they are the bathrooms are small. And don’t even try to ask for extra towels it’s like your asking for gold. SMH

$20 per night parking and chair rental is definitely an expensive dislike

This is a smaller hotel, and I found it to be very relaxing. It was a great price compared to the larger resorts. I did research ahead of time and new that many things cost extra, so I was prepared for this. Lounge chairs on the pool deck and beach towels were all free. Chairs and umbrellas on the beach were an extra daily cost. The on-site restaurant was a little overpriced but not too bad. My room felt nice and updated and all the rooms have a mini-fridge and microwave which is great. The hotel was walking distance from a small grocery store so I saved a ton of money on food. The pool is not huge but never seemed overcrowded. The beach was lovely. Overall a very good stay and exactly what I was looking for.

Hotel was over priced.will not stay there again Despues lluego

We enjoyed our stay and I would recommend this hotel. The staff at the resort were attentive with regards to maid service, etc. However, there is only one restaurant and outdoor bar. The wait staff/bartenders were rude. The food here was horrible. If staying at this hotel I recommend going next door to eat at the outside tiki bar or Italian restaurant. You can't go wrong. Overall rating is excellent just don't recommend their restaurants due to food and service.

Being on the beach is great. The pool is warm and well-kept. Enjoyed the stay!

Friendly staff and great location I have been staying here for two weeks at a time for the last ten years and many of the staff are long term which bodes well .They are very nice and are a big part of what keeps me returning

The view is beautiful ,but I’m not happy with the place.

Not a 4 star. 3 at best. Photos very deceiving. Hotel in old
