The beach was great , the food great , hotel room beautiful

Selected this hotel as it was a very good value. Large rooms and with many amenities, including it's own private beach. Free parking was also a major incentive. Overall cheaper than something equivalent in Miami. Hotel is nice but showing its age a bit. Carpeting in rooms a little dated. Overall seemed clean, but there were little ants on all of the surfaces. Not sure if already there or due to food we brought. Due to this, I doubt my wife will wish to stay again. But I felt it was a nice hotel that was well located. We tried the food at the snack area (pizzas, burgers) and it was not very good. Umbrellas with 2 chairs are not free (just chair are), which we rented for 1 of the days. It would have been nice to include at least 1 free rental during the stay.

Hotel was lovely. A little dated, but had lots of character and appeal.

Great resort for family. Food and staff are excellent. 15 minute drive from Fort Lauderdale airport.

Nothing negative about this place. Ever staff was very helpful. Definitely plan on going back soon for another week stay.

Older luxury resort, well maintained with great location! Easy drive to Las Olas shopping district and Ft Lauderdale strip. Great, super large private beach with free lounge chairs by the water. Beautiful pool with outside bar. Loved the living room in our suite. Perfect mother/daughter getaway with teenagers in July. Great value!!!

Loved the resort. Pool and grounds are clean. Food is good.

First class hotel. Grounds were clean. Pool clean. Ping pong table but has seen its day not up to par not flat at all, putting green and two shuffle board courts. Charge for lounge chairs on the beach, regular chairs free. Around the pool lounge chairs free. Basketball court on the beach and two volleyball courts. Two tennis courts, rackets free but balls have to buy them. Room was clean and spacious. It did rain one day, middle day of the two nights nights stay so not much to do in hotel as everything is outside, except for bar, fine dining and spa, (could have missed something). It started as a light sprinkle. no big deal put put up an umbrella while watching family play ping pong and was yelled at "Were not putting up umbrellas today", Sorry I was I was paying and I wanted umbrella up but I could not have it up, I guess the staff were paying to stay there, I would have put it down. When it started to down pour we went to the room, of coarse that's when they came to clean so left but they never cleaned it or restocked anything, disappointing. I personally went to the front desk to ask for some K-cups for coffee machine as only had one left and wanted 2or3 for morning to set on the Balcony. Only had one at the front desk as everyone was asking for them, (was no ones room being cleaned or restocked?) Front desk said they would have someone bring some up to me, that's GREAT, customer service. ONLY no one came. That's Terrible service. Nice Hotel would stay again

overall, very please with setup for families. great beach, pool playground and kid friendly staff. Downside is there needs to be more flexibility (free coffee from 6-8am?, grill closes at 4pm). Not close to anything so if you don't get a car, plan on uber everywhere...(groceries). We couldn't understand the cleaning service and how they came to clean our room routinely at 2-3 pm (right in the middle of nap time) so our room was only cleaned 2x during a 5 day stay. Front desk should ask for first & second choices for that. Overall, we'd go back. If nothing else, for the beach...

This is such a beautiful hotel. Their pools and out door facilities are amazing and alot of fun for families.

I grew up going to Lago Mar with my parents. My husband and I went back for a vacation still expecting the same Lago Mar from the past. It was stuck in the past. I felt like the rooms were nice and well kept, however, the service was not good at all! The staff all looked miserable to be there. The food was average, service, slow. Nothing was too overpriced though.

Private beach a must experience with breathtaking views and quiet ambience

Nothing but good things to say about Lago Mar. The staff were friendly and helpful. The facility was clean and comfortable. The location was great. It's located right on the beach. It's also easy to get to from the airport. It's in a quiet neighborhood, but close (with a car or cab) to many good restaurants and shopping. On the other hand, there's really no reason to leave the resort, as the food is great and you can get pretty much anything you need right there. We can't wait to go back!

Great hotel with relaxed atmosphere. Pool and Bar are in an excellent location and the beach is wonderful.

Everything was perfect I really enjoyed it, highly recommended

Amazing just the front desk need more effort to sell upgrades for families, everything also great

We arrived at the hotel and was greeted by very nice people. We saw that this was comparable to the ritz but it definitely is not. The hotel is old and the restaurant we are at was awful for 200 dollars. The food was unacceptable for the price charged. The service was slow and every dish we had was subpar. The hotel was not luxurious but was fine for a three star hotel on a five star location

Perfect place to watch the air & sea show!!!! Loved the entire trip in all aspects;)

Everyone was very nice and helpful. Our first stay at this hotel. Talked to people that have been coming for many years if its affordable maybe we can come more often

Great pool and beach area . Rooms a little bit sparse and dated in decor, but large and roomy.
