This was an excellent place to decompress after a cruise for the family. It was relaxing and we had no need to leave the property. It was beautiful, had a private beach, and something for everyone. While we enjoyed onsite dining, we also took advantage of DoorDash delivery and Walmart delivery. Highly recommend!

My wife and I stayed at Lago Mar for the first time in late September. As it was off-season, the hotel was not crowded and the rates were heavily discounted. We booked a spacious oceanfront room — one bedroom king with 2 bathrooms — overlooking an expansive beach. The rooms and hotel are nostalgic with a 50s feel that transports you back in time. The service is great, restaurant(s) are terrific, and there are ample activity areas (putting course, shuffle board, two pools, etc.) on the property. While we sought a quiet vacation, the hotel seems perfect for families and young children as well. It is moderately priced, and delivers more than what you pay. We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay and will undoubtedly return.

My family and I are OBSESSED with Lago Mar. Found it on a whim a few years back on Expedia and have been going since. It’s our absolute favorite place to visit. From the overly friendly staff to the beautiful grounds and being located right on a private beach. I have ZERO complaints or suggestions on anything to improve. It’s literally perfect. My kids are 11 & 9 and there so much for them to do locally and so many close places to eat (although we choose to eat on the property as well!) Fort Lauderdale and Lago Mar have my heart! I hope we can bring our kids here for many many years to come and keep the tradition going!

Great experience

Thank you for the lovely experience, we enjoyed the surprisingly amazing staff and service. Specifically Denis from the promenade bar, Erick in the outside pool area, and Ramon in the breakfast buffet, they all exceeded our expectations. Everything was very clean and there was a refreshing scent. We loved how there was fresh lemon water everywhere. Additionally there was lots of family friendly and fun activities in different areas such as the tennis/pickleball courts, beach volleyball, mini golf, and the kid's playground.We will return without a doubt.

Our stay at Lago Mar was very enjoyable! The staff was very courteous and helpful. The amenities were great, and the local bar and restaurants were excellent as well. Hopefully next time, the hotel offers turkey bacon or turkey sausage as an alternative to the standard pork-as we have pork allergies. We would definitely vacation there again!!

Location to the ocean was great. Outdated. Our room only allowed us to see the top of trees and many iguanas that pooped on the balcony. If we wanted to sit on balcony, it would have been uncomfortable for me.
