We had a 7th floor room so our patio opened up to the pool. Outside on the deck the couch cushion was stained and there were cigarette butts littered outside our non-smoking room. Also the TV did not work except for a few channels. My first night we stayed up late talking and our neighbors complained. The staff at the hotel was very rude communicating this issue to us. I told them how I felt and didn't receive an apology. This hotel would be better for older couples or single individuals. If you are young and looking to have fun this hotel is not for you. If you are used to a high quality experience then this hotel is not for you. I would not recommend.

I, along with two long time friends, traveled here for a "boys weekend." We shared a great ocean front suite. The staff from the desk clerk, concierge, housekeeping and valet attendants could not have been friendlier or more helpful. The hotel is located on the main oceanfront road, with lots to do. It is a quick drive to the downtown area, where there are other great restaurants. The facilities at the hotel were top-notch. I plan to return here with my girlfriend very soon. One would not go wrong with a stay at the Ritz-Carlton Fort Lauderdale.

The Ritz always has great service, rooms, etc. Our room was comfortable and lovely, the bathroom was HUGE, a big plus in my book. Extras cost as expected with the Ritz, overall a nice hotel, right on the water and the pool area was superb!

Just needed a quick escape. This is a top notch hotel. They really understand the concept of customer service. Had a poor experience in their restaurant one morning but boy did they make up for it the next morning. Only one complaint: There are no ice machines on any of the floors. So, if I wanted a cold glass of water I had to call. Sometimes waited 30 minutes or so which isn't long but still. The Spa is top notch as well. Great Steam room etc... Everybody there at all levels tries their hardest. Expensive place but worth it.

Next time the construction of the new restaurant will be completed. That will make it even better.

The hotel from the lobby to the guest room to the pool bathroom is clean and well maintained. The service staff are friendly and very helpful. The view of the ocean is spectacular from our room, the pool area, and the dining areas. The Spa is gorgeous and very relaxing. My husband and I went for a relaxing getaway and that's exactly what we experienced. We had a couples massage at the spa and sunbathed by the pool. The food was very good from the pool cafe and In room dining. Within walking distance there are a variety of restaurants to choose from, the Casablanca was my favorite. Delicious meals, wonderful deserts, and beautiful ocean views. There was some renovation going on during our trip, but we did not experience any disturbance. Great experience.

This hotel was wonderful even though it is under renovation. They upgraded my room to a partial ocean view on a high floor and I am totally spoiled and do not want to stay anywhere other than Ritz Carlton again. The staff is first class.

Beautiful, meticulous, right across from beach. amazing pool, staff goes above and beyond. They offer complimentary water, fruit, coffee, newspapers while everyone else nickel and dimes you away. Definitely worth the money. Property is currently under renovations but I knew that and there was no noise or disruption to our room (14th floor) at all. After driving the main strip it seems that this is one of the only places to stay if you are at all picky about accommodations.

This Ritz-Carlton hotel is great in every way. Great customer service, great location, & great food.

From the moment I walked in, the hospitality from the staff was just amazing. Great oceanview room. Couldn't describe how great my stay here was.

We stayed for 3 nights-2 adults, 3 kids. Big, clean rooms. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Checked us in early, gave us a late check out. Only 2 complaints: 1) If you order something in the restaurant on 1st floor it may take a veeeeeery long time to be served. 2) beach is across the street and there is no drink, food service there- only pool area. Otherwise- perfect!

The friendliest staff . From the check-in desk to the bell men, to the room service staff. They were wonderful.

They lost a few points for a lumpy old mattress....however the rest was really amazing!

Overall didn't have any problems. Great hotel, great location, very helpful and friendly staff.

The hotel service was outstanding in every category. The only major complaint was that the walls are sooooo thin. We could here every noise and even conversations in the room next to us.

everything was great at except a couple small things. I thought i was told we would have free internet in the room but learned it was $15 for a 24-hour period. Also, the shower had very low water pressure and did not fit the standards of the hotel. Everything else was great; the staff, the food, etc.

Pros: We loved the location. The view from our wrap around balcony was fabulous . Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely vacation there again. Cons: had to pay for Internet access also had to pay daily for our car rental. I feel that both should be included at such an exclusive hotel.

My first visit to a Ritz Carlton. Was beautiful. Was surprised I had to pay $15 a day of internet access.

Very quiet...almost too quiet. Our room was extraordinary - surpassing our expectation, and the view was beautiful of both the ocean and the waterway. The hotel restaurant was not as remarkable as we had hoped, though the service was wonderful. It was a nice escape.

The Ritz Carlton one bedroom residence suite is very comfortable and has the feel of being at home. If you want the convenience of not leaving the hotel for light meals and drinks, the Ritz Club Lounge is a excellent option. The ocean front views are awesome. Great for couples or families.
