Sonesta Fort Lauderdale Beach

4.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

We stayed for 6 days and had an end room with view of the north/west. Hallway was noisy w other doors slamming, waking us up during sleep at night. 3 elevators, only 2 worked. Pool small, overloaded w chairs. Location was great. Free golf cart rides up/down strip to Las Olas Blvd or over bridge.

We stayed in a corner unit that had breath taking views of the beach and ocean. Beach chairs were already setup on the beach ready to use. Staff was friendly and accommodating when we asked to check in early and check out late to maximize our beach time :) Only slight negative was the room's HVAC was a little loud. Overall great experience.

I was on a short business trip and needed to get plane tix, car and hotel at the last minute. Orbitz came through with all 3, especially the hotel. Ill be staying there with my wife next month!

Generally, a very good location to explore Fort Lauderdale. Amenities are great and worth the resort fee. The color scheme and the general feel of the place is very hip and trendy. A bit far from the main central beach area, but benefit of that is the quietness. Definitely a great place for people looking for some peaceful R & R, but maybe not so much if you are looking to party. Also great ocean facing rooms! Ask for one on a higher level. I was blown away by the view!

great view of the room as described in photo. There is free and cheap local shuttle that takes you to places, but they are infrequent for our liking - one every 30mins? you can wave and they will stop, its call the sun trolly. Watch for the lock though, the door lock latch does not lock up properly for our room, we can just press hard on the handle and the door would open, we had to pull up on the door latch hard to heard a click sound before verifying it was indeed lock this time. Also hotel does not update the master lock code on the safe...so if you use them...use at your own risk.

Windows don't open. Heard the people next door. Room smelled really needs to be aired out. Pillows smelled

Wonderful view excellent staff room is great the pool is alittle to small but other than that perfect

Every staff member was attentive, accommodating and friendly. Need to give a special thank you to the bartending staff, they're great!

Andie, the bartender at the lobby bar, is awesome. In addition to making a great drink, she is a valuable resource for information on restaurants and things to do in Ft. Lauderdale.

This is a dream come true place. Nicest people I have ever met.

My husband and I went to Sonesta for a quick trip during Thanksgiving to celebrate getting married! The hotel was very accommodating and made us feel special. The pool is clean with a great bar. The staff was efficient and friendly. Our room had an ocean view which was great. Although the beach is across the street we had to walk a couple blocks to get the free lounge chairs Sonesta provides. It's a quick walk though and you can see what other hotels, bars, restaurants, shops are nearby. I would definitely go back and stay at Sonesta.

The staff was very nice and helpful. The beach is right across the street. The only drawback and what stopped me from giving it a 5 is that the floors and walls are thin. The room next to us had a TV on and it sound like it was in our room. My wife and I heard a baby crying in a different room. The baby was not screaming.

I went to Sonesta with my family and we spend two good nights at a great place. Not a very known place, but it is good.

Hotel, room and staff all great! Only thing that could have been better was having a balcony to enjoy the ocean!

I booked this hotel for the long labor day weekend, arriving Friday and Checking out on Monday. I totally enjoyed the proximity to the beach, the hotel staff was very welcoming and ready to help with anything I needed. I enjoyed statying here, and would defenitely come back.

The hotel was nice, the staff was pleasant and helpful. we stayed for 3 nights, it was comfortable. the area, not so great, not sure I will book here again, didnt really feel comfortable walking the block.

I loved my corner room. The ocean views were amazing! They have a small area but the beach is across the street. The staff was very friendly. This hotel is located in a prime location. There is shopping and restaurants within walking distance.

My wife and I got a great deal on this hotel through Orbitz and it did not disappoint. The hotel was a gorgeous high end spot with an attentive staff, short short walk to the beach (it's accross the street), gorgeous views, and a very nice pool area. The hotel was extremely clean and the rooms were well stocked with towels, soap, coffee, and plenty of space. This hotel was made for lounging. We loved it and will definitely come back.

Espere mejores instalaciones para la playa. No hubo facilidades para el equipaje. Poco personal, lenta la atención
