Sonesta Fort Lauderdale Beach

I liked the different types of food every day around check-in, as well as happy hour, and complementary beach chairs and towels. I didn’t like the yellow water, in the toilets and sink, didn’t like that the shower has a fixed door and a big opening.

nice hotel close to the beach with friendly staff especially Joseph who was excellent

Nice hotel tastefully updated! The rooms are beautiful and a beautiful beach area for guests. My only criticism was that a lot of areas are under construction(which I’m sure will be nice once done) but the bar is a temporary, low quality structure in the lobby and drinks and food were way overpriced for the quality.

Very nice. Staff was very friendly. Definitely would recommend.

Good location. Nice staff. Was just looking for a place to stay close to the Ft Lauderdale airport for my return flight after vacation in Key West. Other places were cheaper and closer to the airport, but Sonesta was not very expensive and had an ocean view, so mI thought for the extra money it would be nice to wake up to the view. However, after they slapped on a hefty parking fee and a large "daily fee".. I was left wishing that I had booked one of the cheap places "real close" to the airport. Bottom line... this is a nice place to stay if you are staying in Ft Lauderdale and are looking to go to the beach and board walk and are aware of the these added on fees... the place I stayed at in Key West charged a hefty Fee for "self parking", which I was unaware of until check out. Could be a Florida thing for not disclosing these fees? I travel quite a bit and have never had this issue.

Suzette at the front desk is a wonderful person zack and Chris at vialet were awesome

Nice hotel and closed to the beach, no pool available

I sought a hotel by the beach...this served that purpose exactly...

Close beach access, the hotel smell was very overpowering like a strong perfume, the rooms were clean, hallways and lobby was dark with color lights which wasn't very bright and welcoming coming from the beautiful sunny weather outside, the infused water in the lobby was good

Hotel was mediocre at best not a 4.5 nor 4 star hotel. the amenities are so limited and the Pool is extremely small. Only upside is having the beach located directly across the street. Also they're very slick and tried to charge me for things I did not use such as Valet when I flew into florida, also their hidden fees are atrocious. hotel stay wound up costing me and additional $260 FOR NOTHING.. I would NEVER stay there again nor recommend it. Extremely over priced for a ramada quality at best.

Expensive valet fees and I was surprised the Resort fee was not added in my room fee and taxes which I prepaid for this trip. Overall a good experience!

The room was very dirty. Nothing like the pictures. A lot of hidden fees. Would never recommend. Also no parking. You have to pay $36 a night for valet.

Close to beach, clean and large room, nice shower, friendly staff.

While the hotel itself was pleasant, with an excellent staff ready to answer any question, the hidden fees were the killer. I stayed for six nights, and the hidden fees (valet parking was the only parking available, and they charged for wifi???) ended up costing half as much as the room! I hate hidden/extra fees, and if these fees are basically required fees for anyone that has a car or needs wifi, then I would prefer that they wrap these fees into the cost of the room, so there aren't any surprises at checkout. Otherwise, the location is across the street from the beach, so it does have a pleasant view and easy access to the ocean. It is a bit farther north on the beachfront strip than a few other resorts/hotels, but if you don't mind a bit of a walk, then you have access to several quality restaurants. The room itself was cozy, with all the amenities you would expect of a hotel (refrigerator, ironing board/iron, safe), so if you are looking for a nice hotel for a weekend getaway, this could suit your needs. Those extra fees, tho.

Please be mindful, my overall stay at Sonesta was pleasant. Its noteworthy to mention, the Valet contractor is less than desired as they lost my car keys resulting in my tardiness for a wedding event. Albeit, they were accommodating to waive my valet fees the overall experience was frustrating and disappointing.

The staff went above and beyond by a mile in every way possible to meet even our smallest requests. We’re locked in to staying with this hotel again for next year regardless of (or if) there are cheaper hotels with deeper discounts in the same proximity; this place is really serious about exceeding the customer service experience.

Amazing view, great service/wonderful staff and clean!

Had a great time. the staff was very friendly. The food was great!

Excellent birthday experience. I'd recommend Sonesta to everyone.
