Absolutely the best stop on our road trip..rooms are prefect and the recent Reno works only kicks it up a notch. New hallway lights, carpet adds up. Breakfast is a true delight. Lots of choices, hot and cold, with a great waitstaff overseeing the process. As good as it can on the I-95 corridor.....home away from home...

This place – our second visit in the last 6 months – is everything you want a hotel to be: clean, quiet, functional and friendly. Special thanks for the Marriott Rewards royal treatment from Justin and LaShala. And don’t miss adjacent to the hotel is a beautiful and oh-so-tranquil memorial gardens to our fallen soldiers. It is not to be missed. The workout room is very well-appointed, including free weights up to 50 pounds and a doctor’s scale. Outdoor pool and hot-tub are wonderful, with towels aplenty poolside. Breakfast is the usual tasty Residence Inn fare – especially with their signature hand-packed yogurts. Fresh bananas, too.

When you walk into the lobby of a hotel you get s good feeling for what you are going to get. This place looked very nice and the staff friendly. The only thing I worried about was the big sign talking about a renovation. Oh no a hot needing renovation usually spells bad things. In this case it was not a problem. The hotel was remarkably nice for somewhere getting renovated. Is was clean and nice. The TV system had been upgraded and the internet good. The bed was OK but certainly not a problem. In my room the only issue was the shower curtain bar was loose. Overall a nice place I would stay again anytime.

My Mom and I have been staying at the Residence Inn in Florence, South Carolina since May 12th 2017. Since April 29, 2017. when we sold our house that we live at for 50 years in New Jersey.We stayed at three Residence Inn on our trip, but by far the Resident Inn in Florence, South Carolina is the BEST!! From the Staff to Management you can see they truly care for their guests and even the pet guests too. When we came down here I did not think my 84 year old Mom was going to make it but with the kindness of your staff especially the General Manager Renee Looper her kindness, support and sincerity my Mom is doing much now better now !! So if, you are relocating on vacation or you just need a clean safe place to stay where the staff truly cares about you. Stay at the Residence Inn in Florence, South Carolina.

I was booked for a 1 King and 1 sofa bed suite and it was quite spacious. Room was mostly clean but the stove top had some grease from the previous stay. Both beds were comfortable and slept well. Pillows were soft and the sheets were clean. Even the extra set of sheets for the sofa bed were clean and new. This hotel is located at the end of the street that has only hotels and is very close to shopping and grocery stores. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

I wanted a hotel that would be close to drive to a full eclipse location. Most of the hotels within the full eclipse zone were already booked. I decided on this one and am glad I did. The hotel was a typically good Residence Inn. What set it apart was the staff. The check in and check out folks were great but the best were the staff working the breakfast area. They were super friendly as in the true southern hospitality tradition. They had some special items each of the two mornings I was there. The breakfast was great both days. They kept everything fresh and well stocked. I would stay here again.

We were there for an overnight enroute to see the total eclipse. Had two nice rooms, a great recommendation for a restaurant from the front desk, and a pleasant evening cooling off in the whirlpool and pool. Room was exceptionally clean. And the microwave popcorn int he room added to a pleasant evening. The complimentary breakfast was very good, and there were such amenities as tops for plastic cups so one could take fruit and other breakfast items along, which we did as we had to leave quite early.

Me and my family were travrling from Orlando to Alexandria VA. We stopprd at this small hotel over the night, the receptionist was so nice and cooperative. The room was nice and clean and they have smart TV with youtube option which my kids liked so much. They offer a breakfast but i personally didn't use. It's little expensive but clean and suitable for families. Also the parking is free and free wifi.

Very nice Residence Inn with great people. Stayed for 8 months in 2017 and from Cynthia (meal prep) to Stephanie (desk), Tammi (room service) and all the other people up-front and in maintenance you cannot ask for more. All requests taken seriously and in good attitude to try to make you feel comfortable. Hotel kept clean and well run with good food. I will miss them.

A quick overnight in Florence, SC brought us to Residence Inn. Pet friendly, a kitchen and we love the king suite (kids get the pull out sofa). Beds are always comfy and the staff is always friendly. They will be undergoing an update and refresh of their decor, which is an added bonus. I appreciated the kind & helpful staff- but had to wait a few minutes while the desk clerk assisted another family with restaurant choices (they were seeking good old southern style food!) One thing I noticed each time we passed through was that the lobby had a funky smell. Could not pinpoint what it was, but it was noticeable right away. Perhaps the cleaning agent. My family loved the breakfast buffet and appreciated the great eats. We had a great sleep and a great start to our day! Here is a side note: I was charged (and knew ahead of time that I would be) $75 for the night for our 15# miniature poodle. I engaged the clerk about how I hate paying the fee, knowing that so many folks game the system with regard to the SERVICE DOGS. She said there are about 6 folks a night that claim "service dog" status in order to dodge paying the fee. Per the US DOJ website, a hotelier and their staff can not ask for proof (the papers that a legit service dog will have); nor can they charge the pet cleaning fee; nor can they force a service dog owner to stay in a room that is designated for pets (this is unfair to any guests who follow that family in the room THAT has a pet dander allergy.) The abuse of the Service Dog status is out of control in this country and it is unfortunate to the hoteliers. They, CAN WATCH THE SECURITY FOOTAGE AND IF YOU LEAVE THE ROOM WITHOUT YOUR SO CALLED SERVICE DOG, THEY CAN ASK YOU TO LEAVE AND HAVE TO REFUND YOUR MONEY. They also lose out on that extra revenue of the fees that they charge the rest of us if you are gaming the system. That money results in a bump in rates each year. I sympathize with the hoteliers and their staff. They are very much aware of how much the general population will abuse the service dog status, but their hands are tied for the most part. So, although I do not like paying a fee knowing that many of my fellow citizens are willfully abusing the status, I take the road I always take- honesty and integrity. Someday, perhaps the lobby for the hoteliers will have enough grounds to allow for them to tighten up the abuse with the DOJ on board. We appreciated the attention to detail of this facility and will be back in the future.
