My children were able to enjoy themselves without having to leave the resort!!! There was a water park, pools and hot tubs all over the resort!!!! Absolutely fell in love with Ocean Reef!!!

HORRIBLE dont waste your money

So we stayed at the Crown Reef about 14 years ago and loved it, boy has time changed things. I live in Myrtle Beach and had to leave my house due to some plumbing issues and we were to stay locally for 2 days, we picked the Crown because they had an onsite restaurant and bar where I could watch the NFL playoff games. We were there on a Sunday, Monday and checked out Tuesday. They advertised a restaurant and bar, neither of them are open on Sun-Thursday only Friday and Saturday, the room was dated, the balcony was in serious need of painting, the refrigerator was filthy on the outside. Even the channels on the TV were terrible choices, couldn't watch the games on TV because the tv didnt' have local channels, or even broadcast channels. It was a terrible experience and we will never be back. We have a lot of friends who come down to visit us I guarantee you we will not recommend the Crown Reef. What a disappointment, you have certainly let this property go to hell.

Property was very nice, and in a great location on the beach. The room was very nice with a beautiful view. My issues were with the check in location in comparison to the resort (across the street, and not easy to find upstairs), and all the unruly children running around unsupervised.

We liked the beach access and beach front view. The indoor pools weren't sufficiently heated. The elevators broke and we had to wait for too long to get on the only working elevator that eventually broke and we were told to use the staff-only elevator. There was no washer/dryer in the room as was mentioned in the room description.

Very nice staff, very clean great amenities. Elevator broke while we were there but they had someone coming to fix it the day we checked out. Things like that happen sometimes but over all the stay was wonderful.

I loved the view from our room. Being right on the beach was amazing. The last couple days there were many large groups just running around yelling at like 12-1am. Our room got upgraded which was amazing. The bathroom was very small but everything was clean. I would definitely recommend to others and will most likely be back. Which the Waterpark was open sooner than 12
