We came with our almost 10 month old baby and had an absolute blast! We were worries he was a little young but the kiddie pool was perfect for him. Poor guy cried every time we got out of the water. Staff was very friendly and always helpful. Only complaint is that water in the shower didn't stay hot for very long.

Great for families with children of all ages. Staff is well trained and attentive.

Check in/check out was quick, efficient, and flawless. Accomodations were exactly as described. Clean and modern.

We had a great long weekend at Dunes Village. The kids loved the indoor pool areas and the outside play areas as well. We all slept well. The bathroom was large. The suite’s kitchen was stocked adequately for a weekend stay. Beautiful view of the ocean! We did see some socks left in a corner from the previous guests. There was a bifold door that wasn’t functioning correctly.

We had reserved a resort in North Myrtle Beach that did not satisfy our senses on arrival. The Dunes saved our December vacation. The resort was clean, comfortable, and staff very accommodating. Lazy river, water slide/park, and jacuzzi all indoors was a save. Located on the beach, I took morning walks which are beautiful any time of year. Maintenance and housekeeping was top notch. A laundry room, Starbucks, and bar are on the resort.

Second time here. Our room was in bad shape. Water leaked from the tub badly and had rotted a lot of stuff. Cabinets were junk. Doors didn't line up correctly and wouldn't lock. Beds were terrible, especially for the room rate. Floors were disgustingly dirty. Towels came up black when wiping up water. Water park was okay, but overcrowded, and the water showed it. Common areas were okay, furniture was gross. They need to spend far more time actually cleaning. I wasn't willing to sleep under the covers.

Everything to entertain kids of all ages on site. Great beach view and access.

Wonderful - it was a tues, but the starbucks in the lobby was open and it was quiet. I will be back with the Fam!

Overall OK. Hotel needs to be redone. Outside needs paint an internal connection between the two towers is needed and the pools for the kids are small. Needs to update advertising

The rooms are dated but comfortable, make sure to take your own paper towels or napkins. There is not a direct door to outside to get to the pools and beach...you have to walk around the side of the hotel or through the waterpark. My daughter enjoyed the water slides. The waterparks and pools were clean and well maintained. The outdoor Lazy River was being cleaned, so we were only able to use it the last day but it was enjoyable. Putt putt course is nasty. Overall, we had a great Fall Break!!

The facilities are great for kids but the pool water is filthy, particularly in the indoor water parks. The whole place hasn't been updated in a long time and needs freshened up. Looks nothing like picture above.

I have no idea how this place gets +4 out of 5 stars. It is incredible. On first arrival, yeah the outside looks decent, but the thing that kept coming thru is that this place is all a facade. One person working behind the counter at peak check-in time? The room at first glance, one of the beachfront angle rooms, seemed ok until we put our bags down and looked at things alittle closer. The sheets on one of the beds was stained. The packnplay was not in the room so we called down for it and told them about the sheets. The annoyed cleaning lady begrudgingly changed the sheets. That was the theme for the week, no effort by the owners to keep up the place and no effort by staff. The room was tidied up each day but sheets weren't changed, the carpets weren't vacuumed, sliding glass door wasn't cleaned, etc. For the waterparks, each building has a small waterpark, and by waterpark I mean 2 slides, 2-3 hot tubs, and a regular pool. Lots of chlorine being used. If you look one bit at the details, again it's all a facade. Metal tubes rusting, metal pipe straps rusting, and the Submarine playarea had big rust spots. I found holes in the pool surface and the floors. None of the issues we saw were unfixable, it just takes effort and the desire for the management and staff to want to do better. They just don't. They know they'll get a certain amount of occupancy by families just happy to be on vacation. There's probably better options in the area, choose them.

Everyone was very nice . Could use some updates to the rooms, but all in all it was good.

The hotel is situated in an ice location, quiet, away from the hustle and bustle of the downtown area. Hotel is clean and close to the beach with nice facilities. One caveat is that if you check out at 11 and want to use the pool or beach, there is nowhere to take a shower or clean up after being on the beach, I would definitely suggest making a room available to customers, so that if they need to clean up after using the amenities, it would make it that much more worthwhile to stay longer and use the amenities, instead of clients heading out to find other things to do, this would extend clients' stay and definitely a suggestion to improve.

If you are looking for a hotel that caters to your children, this is a good choice. If you are looking for a more adult atmosphere, try something else. This hotel disappointed me in several ways. Starting with check in, there was a long line with about a five minute briefing on hotel rules. When I got to my "beachfront" room, it was on the first floor next to one of the pools, packed with children playing. I could not see much of the beach. Next came the live music lasting from about ten am until ten pm. The musician was about 20 yards from my "beachfront window". The beach bar was also there. It had no view of the beach, and was crowded with children. The indoor bar was small and also featured many children. Some of these kids were seated on barstools at the bar. I have never seen this before, and I thought it was illegal. Guess not. The maid service was ok at best. The water parks are actually pools with big slides and water play areas. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Dirty dirty dirty We had to call daily for clean towels or for any room service needed. They never did it change of sheets like they said they would on the fourth day.

Enjoyable family vacation. Hotel was in great location to beach and entertainment sites.

Really nice stay, right in the beach. North Myrtle Beach, away from the chaos of the strip. Indoor water parks were fun, nice private beaches, lots of stuff for kids to do. Washer/dryer in room. Bar outside by pool, picnic areas, playgrounds, Starbucks on site, cafe, everything right there.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. The resort is close to the beach and our upgraded room was very spacious. The thing I hated was being "welcomed" by the concierge...who was nothing more than a salesperson pushing other resort properties. I did not appreciate that at all. Huge turnoff. The resort is starting to show its age, some carpet is torn, rust on bottom of doors etc. Our room appeared clean, but when we opened the dishwasher, it was full of dirty dishes and pans. Yuck.

We enjoyed our stay. We were really impressed with the water parks at the hotel. We spent most of our time floating on the indoor lazy river. Our 2 year old also enjoyed the lazy river. The room was on the first floor but there was never any loud noises. The room didn't feel very clean. I found a e-cig under the nightstand, which shows someone isn't cleaning very well. The biggest room flaw was the oven that had knobs on the front. Our toddler kept trying to play with the knobs. One night we went out for dinner and came back to the smell of the oven on. That's pretty scary. I would definitely recommend this hotel purely for the water park amenities.
