The price of this room on Orbitz isn’t accurate- you’ll end up paying another $35 in “resort” and parking fees.

First night, no hot water. Coffee supply in lobby wasn’t maintained, routinely out. Lavatory sink had very large crack. Resort fees too expensive. Again, just OK, not very impressed.

Great location with beautiful views and great amenities. Could use some updating as the rooms were a bit tired looking. Bar staff at the Reel were great.

Very nice staff and clean room. Towels soft. Bed and pillows could really use a face lift. The lobby also wasn’t super pleasing to look at but the beach club was amazing

We have stayed 12 times in the last 2 years and have had a wonderful experience with this hotel. However, this year our room was not up to par. The room was still unfinished. The TV had a horrible cable system. An engineer came up to our room and he could not get audio on the TV, just a picture. One blind did not shut. The bathroom door did not shut. The TV and fireplace were not installed properly. Bare wood stuck out along the bottom. We reserved a King bed and got a Queen bed. The hot tub was shut down.

Nice room with a nice view. The restaurant was good. I don’t see the reason for a resort fee however. Not everybody uses extra facilities and I definitely did not. Should be optional

Lovely room and Sonny, my bellman is the best. He was very sweet and showed me everything I would need to get the most out of my stay. Incredible view. Spotless. Comfortable bed. Fireplace and an ocean view. Pure heaven.

My absolute only complaint was that the floor in our room needed to be cleaned/mopped. Luckily we were not in bare feet, as it was winter.

This was our second stay at this hotel/resort and this stay was as nice as the first! The staff was very accommodating and courteous. We actually had a complaint/issue with the guest next door to us (they were smoking in their room and the smoke was permeating/drawing into our room) and the staff had us moved into a new room (an upgrade I might add at no request of hours) within two hours. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend them. If you are looking for a nice, clean place to stay with top notch staff, this is it!

There were 3 lightbulbs our in the room- easy fix.. doors were strained terribly from the dirt off peoples hands from closing them, black mold in bathtub and black grime in the mortar between the tiles on the wall, water damage and Sheetrock bubbling off ceiling, blood spots on bottom curtain and the cheap particle board furniture was bubbled up from water damage and had Black an green stains from mildew all over it. My girlfriend and I have had terrible congestion and problems breathing. Through our noses since the first night.. I will never stay here again and will definitely post my complaints everywhere I can with pictures to back my claims because this is a conservative review

Beautiful location with friendly staff. Asked for a different room on check in and we were quickly accommodated.

While looking for homes to rent in the Charleston area, stayed here for 2 nights. It is well located with beautiful views and strolling areas. Many weddings held here. The staff were helpful, marina enticing and our room was very quiet, attractive and clean. I rate it pleasing, not exceptional, since the bathroom door did not latch and the shower curtain was beginning to give off the "sour" odor. But, rugs looked new and we had a comfortable, clean bed.

Nice location on the harbors northeast shore with a sand beach for sunning but not swimming. Does have 3 pools that are very nice. Room was clean but small for the price. Had been recently painted and new floor put in. Was quite for most part three weddings in one day did add to the crowd. Good shuttle to downtown.

loved it all location, room, food and staff Pools were very nice

This property has two hotels, side by side. One is new, the other old and very dated. Be careful which one you chose. My room had the only one in my life with no clock. Front desk said the last guest had it removed. REALLY?? Also, wanted an in room safe. They said it was being repaired.. No holes in the walls where you could mount a safe. They offered to install one at 10 PM. Right!

We enjoyed our stay at the resort. The rooms are clean and nicely appointed. The staff was friendly and helpful. I like the option to push a button to let housekeeping know whether we wanted the room straightened or do not disturb. I left them a brief note just asking to have garbage cans emptied and replace towels and they were very accommodating. It was nice not to have to call down to the desk to request. We enjoyed the onsite restaurants as they were very convenient. You don't need to carry cash or card on property as everything can be charged to your room. The Tiki bar at the pool had a very friendly staff where we were happy to spend a couple incredibly hot afternoons. When we read about the different means of transportation provided we decided not to rent a car. It was very easy to get around. We borrowed the on site bikes to get around Mount Pleasant. The Water Taxi made for a quick trip downtown. We got off at the first stop Waterfront Park which is very close to Meeting Street. When we were done downtown we met the resort shuttle at the Life is Good tshirt shop. The shuttle was timely and the driver was very nice. Overall our stay was relaxing and effortless. We would love to return someday.

Loved the pools, the pier, being by Charleston Marina and catching the water taxi.

While the hotel and location was beautiful, I found many things dissatisfying. The website listed many great amenities that I was excited about -- mostly transportation. They offered free shuttles to downtown and other places but I feel like their staff was either brand new or no two people knew the same information about the amenities so we missed out on quite a few things. The cleaning staff was nice, however they didn't make rounds until 3 or 4 in the afternoon which was usually the time we came back to rest from the heat before getting ready to go out for dinner. The hotel did have neat things like the awesome pool next door and the board games to offer as well as other activities but I feel like that didn't warrant the extra $20 we had to pay a day in hotel fees. Maybe it would be more worth it if you exhausted all amenities. But with no affordable dining (less than $25 a meal that is) around, I have a hard time recommending this place if you wish to remain on a fairly decent budget. Don't get me wrong, it's beautiful, and people are friendly. But you can find that in many other places too.

Be careful of the restaurant charges. The charges are way more than what is on their website. Example: happy hour oysters $1 each. Actual charge $2 each. Explanation: Web site hasn't been updated. Some of the drinks also have the same problem.

Very nice staff...the pools & grounds are very nice. The shuttle to downtown Charleston is a very good feature. Loved the location. Feels like a resort within close proximity to the city. If you want a fancier option stay on the beach club side, but you can use all the same facilities if you stay on the Harborside side.
