Rooms were clean but dated. Walls and furniture showed wear and damage. The heat wasn’t working in our initial room (60 degrees upon entry with air conditioning on full blast). The maintenance turned off the unit and offered us a space heater. After declining, they moved us to a room down the hall. The second room was in the same shape as the first, but fortunately the heat worked properly. The bathroom was also dated. The mirror was damaged, grout showed age and cracks, and the shower door was loose/missing screws. There was no fan (or just not working) in the bathroom so moisture collected after showering with a little mold around ceiling. The soap dispenser pumps didn’t work properly, which was frustrating. Also, walls were very thin. We were startled awake in the middle of the night by our neighbors shouting and pounding on their door. The situation escalated & persisted, eventually leading to my husband calling the front desk due to concern for a domestic dispute. It turned out we weren’t the only ones concerned as multiple visitors had called the desk, and the police arrived to diffuse the situation.
Overall, the grounds are beautiful, the view is spectacular, and the location worked perfectly for us, but the room just didn’t meet our standards.
