Harborside at Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina

Nice location on the harbors northeast shore with a sand beach for sunning but not swimming. Does have 3 pools that are very nice. Room was clean but small for the price. Had been recently painted and new floor put in. Was quite for most part three weddings in one day did add to the crowd. Good shuttle to downtown.

loved it all location, room, food and staff Pools were very nice

This property has two hotels, side by side. One is new, the other old and very dated. Be careful which one you chose. My room had the only one in my life with no clock. Front desk said the last guest had it removed. REALLY?? Also, wanted an in room safe. They said it was being repaired.. No holes in the walls where you could mount a safe. They offered to install one at 10 PM. Right!

We enjoyed our stay at the resort. The rooms are clean and nicely appointed. The staff was friendly and helpful. I like the option to push a button to let housekeeping know whether we wanted the room straightened or do not disturb. I left them a brief note just asking to have garbage cans emptied and replace towels and they were very accommodating. It was nice not to have to call down to the desk to request. We enjoyed the onsite restaurants as they were very convenient. You don't need to carry cash or card on property as everything can be charged to your room. The Tiki bar at the pool had a very friendly staff where we were happy to spend a couple incredibly hot afternoons. When we read about the different means of transportation provided we decided not to rent a car. It was very easy to get around. We borrowed the on site bikes to get around Mount Pleasant. The Water Taxi made for a quick trip downtown. We got off at the first stop Waterfront Park which is very close to Meeting Street. When we were done downtown we met the resort shuttle at the Life is Good tshirt shop. The shuttle was timely and the driver was very nice. Overall our stay was relaxing and effortless. We would love to return someday.

Loved the pools, the pier, being by Charleston Marina and catching the water taxi.

While the hotel and location was beautiful, I found many things dissatisfying. The website listed many great amenities that I was excited about -- mostly transportation. They offered free shuttles to downtown and other places but I feel like their staff was either brand new or no two people knew the same information about the amenities so we missed out on quite a few things. The cleaning staff was nice, however they didn't make rounds until 3 or 4 in the afternoon which was usually the time we came back to rest from the heat before getting ready to go out for dinner. The hotel did have neat things like the awesome pool next door and the board games to offer as well as other activities but I feel like that didn't warrant the extra $20 we had to pay a day in hotel fees. Maybe it would be more worth it if you exhausted all amenities. But with no affordable dining (less than $25 a meal that is) around, I have a hard time recommending this place if you wish to remain on a fairly decent budget. Don't get me wrong, it's beautiful, and people are friendly. But you can find that in many other places too.

Be careful of the restaurant charges. The charges are way more than what is on their website. Example: happy hour oysters $1 each. Actual charge $2 each. Explanation: Web site hasn't been updated. Some of the drinks also have the same problem.

Very nice staff...the pools & grounds are very nice. The shuttle to downtown Charleston is a very good feature. Loved the location. Feels like a resort within close proximity to the city. If you want a fancier option stay on the beach club side, but you can use all the same facilities if you stay on the Harborside side.

Absolutely gorgeous. Im coming back in 2 week with my family. Everything was nice

Lovely views, great location and price for value. Room was just as pictured, very cheery, comfortable, clean. Whole property was always very clean. The sandy area was a very serene, relaxing spot ESPECIALLY at night with the moon bouncing off water and the sound of water lapping at the rocks. Enjoyable stay. On site restaurant bit pricey for the location vs atmosphere but great views and food was good. Very tiny details need attending to just to keep property up to par overall: large rugs crooked, black scuffs on baseboards, lots light bulbs out in room & locations around... Easy fixes - nothing major but will add up over time.

First time to this Resort and we were not disappointed. Plenty to do between the City itself, Sullivan's Island & Isle of Palm beaches, History landmarks such as Fort Sumter or the Yorktown at Patriots Point, Dinner Cruises, Walk / bike the bridge, Spa treatment, and RESTAURANTS galore to choose from. We only wish our kids came as they would have loved this trip !! Highly recommend and cant wait to go back again in the near future !!!

We enjoyed our stay so much! So convenient ! Beautiful!

Second time staying. Definitely had some major housekeeping issues but front desk waived our hotel fees and I think that was fair. We would definitely go back and give them another try. Was disappointed our hot tub was not working but it's nice now that sister property is available to use. Water taxi off the pier is huge plus. Bar and bar staff was exceptional. Dolphins off pier each day was awesome! Ideal location.

We've stay here before during the summer and enjoyed ourselves. This time the hotel was a little slower and had less going on. They were working on the pool and starting some other upgrades. All and all the location is great and there are many places to visit and dine close by. We even walked to patriots point from the hotel along the docks. Only complain was a leaky faucet in shower that dripped all night long. The front desk said they could not fix it during our stay without cutting off water to the hotel. I left the trip tired from not sleeping well. One other issue was the on-site restaurant was out of a multiple kid menu items the night we ate there which made it had for one of the kids to pick something.

Convenient location to access famous visita points within short distance. The staffs are kind and helpful with provided free bike rental to ride around.

Mt. Pleasant area with wonderful view of Cooper River, Ft. Sumter, Charleston across the river. Nice harbor walk near the aircraft carrier Yorktown. Easy drive across the Ravenel Bridge to downtown. Fish House next door, great bar overlooking the Yorktown with great staff.

We made the reservation and the rooms were not available upon arival

It was perfect for our anniversary weekend. The view was perfect, the staff was friendly and the Reel Bar was awesome!

Room was small but nice and clean. Could use an update. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Overall very nice

was only there for 24 hrs with work so I was not able to enjoy the complete facility but will be back.
